I am quite bothered by the King 5 and North West Cable News reports of the lack of heat in the Lacy Washington Pizza Time. I am curious as to what process of events took place and what decisions were made to decide that this was a news worthy story. If employees are forgetful to turn the heat off at night then they should be the ones to suffer the consequences and learn that heating a restaurant costs money. There is not a lot of profit in a business as competitive as a pizza restaurant and the owner must do what he can to secure his profits. Obviously the co-owner Luke Benjamin can continue to work in cold conditions much like many other people in the Pacific North West. If employee Dan Baxter is going to act so much like a child and cry because he is cold, maybe he should move to Southern California where I am sure he can find plenty of work making Pizza for a number of different companies. Baxter seems to me to be acting as a child and that does not make a newsworthy story. The problem is that Baxter is probably one who feels that one who owns a business "has money" just because they have a business, when Dan gets a paycheck for the hours he put in, co-owner Luke Benjamin is most likely simply stuck with the profits of the business, even if the profits come in less than minimum wage and it is employees like Dan who are selfishly burning up those profits. I just dont see how this is news. NWCN and King 5 have jumped on the "poor me" bandwagon. If it was my shop, Dan wouldnt be coming back into work. Oh... And someone please nominate Reporter Jesse Jones for an Investigative Journalism award for finding an eight inch space heater on the floor in the managers office, a cramped little office where Mrs. Benjamin struggles to keep her accounting business operating... This story might actually find its way to National News, possibly even Global. Dan Baxter just lost his opportunity for ever being employed in my family business, just not a team player I guess. (besides... cold calling businesses is not the way to begin a career. GROW UP DAN BAXTER AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING. Kudos to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin for allowing Dan to return to work after his childish call to King 5 will most likely cause your business to suffer... You two must be Saints! King 5 and NWCN... PLEASE... GO GET SOME REAL NEWSWORTHY STORIES... I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! I have to go drive to Lacy to get a Pizza for lunch now. -Jeremy

The way you treat your employees, I am surprised anyone stays more than a day! That note they showed on the news is so unprofessional! The owners husband cannot stand up to his wife...he must really be a wuss! She has a lot of nerve heating her little space while her employees are working in sub standard conditions, There is only one word for you! People like you do not deserve a prosperous 2009! You really have some great press now. Sure hope you do not harass the young man that was practicing freedom of speech, and if you do, I hope he sues you. Funny how the owner did not face the news; she obviously "made" her husband do the dirty work, since she has so much control over him! He needs to learn to stand on his own two feet, and you, the owner, need to turn up the heat for your employees! What a cheapskate! All customers need to boycott this place!

Just my thoughts. My daughter is active duty army and works her butt off. So, every once in awhile, I call Pizza Time and order dinner for her. Now I live in New Mexico and my daughter lives in Lacey, WA. So, I am allowed to pay with my credit card. Never had this pizza, but have heard it is great. Everytime I call and order, the employees have been awesome and I do not know all the details about this little rant of not providing heat, but at one time, I worked in a restraunt in Steilacoom, WA and you really never wanted or needed heat. Sounds to me that this little rant was started by an employee who had other issues. Like I said, I do not know the whole story , but I think you all should lay off this place. The pizza is good, the service is great and the employees I have dealt with have been absolutely awesome.

Ive been eating here since high school in the 80s. Hands down the best pizza in town. Nothing fancy or trendy, just great traditional pizza. The dough really is fresh, the toppings are great, the cheese is super flavorful with no grease. Delivery is always fast by friendly drivers.

Pizza was extremely garlicky and the barbecue wings didnt have any sauce on them. Seems like a nice business with good customer service, but I was disappointed.

I have written to the corporate office and hopefully so will a lot of others. Hopefully, they will pull their franchise license.

Seriously, do you want to order a pizza made by unhappy workers? Avoid the accounting business run from this same location too.
