This place was a total ripoff, and the food sucked! The food was way overcooked, they gave us a dinner menu at 1:30 in the afternoon, there was no spice in the food that we requested to be "medium spice," they charged $3 for rice that was supposed to come with the meals!, their entree prices were HIGH ($16 for one), then they also overcharged for other things on the menu!! The extra rice charge, a dollar more for an entree, a dollar more for the naan. VERY DISHONEST PEOPLE AND THE FOOD IS BAD. I would never go there again and recommend that no one waste their time or money at that place. Oh, and they also would not honor the Entertainment Book coupon!! Bottom of the barrel as far as restaurants go. Bad service, too. Never asked how the meal was, offered anything else. I think they took old food that had been sitting around all day and gave that to us. Dry, tasteless. My friend and I have also noticed that weve both had upset stomachs since we ate there 2 days ago!!

The sad thing about this place, is that most of our experience was pretty positive. The food was quite good, the service was good, the food came out quickly, and the atmosphere is pretty nice. When it comes to the bill, its a whole different story. The prices on the menu were not what we were charged, in addition to that, they charged us for rice when the dishes "came with rice". I asked what they were charging us $5.90 for, and we were told that since we didnt buy naan or other items with our meals they charge for the rice (which spinach naan was right at the top of the bill). My own fault for not pushing any further, but we discussed the bill in the car and had each silently thought that even the entrees were higher than what was listed on the menus. Disappointing after a fine relaxing meal.

I ordered samosa and lamb saag. The samosa were not particularly good. They came with mint and tamarind chutney in a tiny little bowl, with just a dab of tamarind and not that much mint either. The presentation of the rice and the saag were extremely nice - the rice was a mixture of three different colors and the bowl for the saag was very pretty. The lamb was a tiny bit chewy. The serving was relatively small, not enough to fill me up even with the samasa. Though it was not specified on the menu as far as I could see, nor by the waitress, the rice did not come with the meal but was charged separately. I ended up paying close to $25 for a mediocore meal. I could have gotten the same meal plus a drink at numerous other restaurants, had leftovers, and enjoyed it much much more.

This place has been a mess . We had 2 catering done from this place. On the first catering, they served us less food and overcharged us. In the second catering , they gave us stale food( daal). When I complained about it to the owner she said " THAT IS THE REASON WE DONT SERVE INDIAN/PAKISTANIS". I was totally shocked for such a racist comment. One more thing : When we asked the owner if we can come to the restaurant for a party, she was like that we dont allow parties if you have kids. Wow!!!! I and my friends felt stomach cramps after consuming food from this place. Check out the many one-star reviews this place has collected. Some unlucky people actually suffered from food poisoning after eating here and complained but the owners didnt seem to care. Avoid this place!

When we arrived at the restaurant, there was a private party taking place. We had to wait outside for about three or four minutes before we gleamed as much, since there was no sign outside to indicate that the restaurant was unavailable to the general public for that evening. Furthermore, there was no one at the door to have advised us as such; it took conversations with two people inside the restaurant to enlighten us that we could not dine there that night. Private parties are fine, but Royal India dropped the ball when it came to appraising non-invitees of the fact. As a word to the wise, call ahead before you make plans, just in case theyre having a private party on the night you go and you end up being stranded outside.

Ive been once to the buffet and once for dinner. They were about to close down the buffet when we showed up, but were nice enough to let us take some to go before they cleaned up. The food was quite good. When we went for dinner, there was a large group sitting near us that kind of stole the attention of our server, but I wouldnt say the service was necessarily bad. Id like to go again and test the service for real, plus I loved their chai, the samosas, and the deserts! My main course was also quite good, but I cant remember now what it was called. At any rate, not the best Indian place Ive been, but one of the better and the best, so far, since moving to the area.

Been in this neighborhood for many years... Pleasure to see this restaurant grow. They did a wonderful nice remodel several years back... The adult children have taken over and they did an excellent job! The food is tasty and the buffet is nice. I have frequented the buffet enough to know the variation of vegetarian options hardly change. It would be nice to have more variation... The prices are a bit high for both the regular menu entrees and the buffet. The buffet price is even higher on the weekends. Overall, if you dont mind the higher prices, this is a great neighborhood Indian fare restaurant. Food 4 Service 5 Decor & Ambiance 4 Cleanliness 4

Only mango, coconut curry and NAN is acceptable a (a bit too sweet in my opinion). Other food on the menu are horrible. This restaurant is clearly overpriced! ordered 3 curry and cost me $60. How can they charge rice separately. Do they expect people to order curry and drink it like a soup? We got 2 refill on rice, and they charged me $10 only for 2 refill. Another time I went there, waiter gave me the wrong order, and I ask them to give me the correct one. It turn out he charge me both of them. This place has no moral. Food and service does not match their price range. Their curry only worth half of their price.

They must have all the money in the world and dont need customers... On a Sat night my friend and I went in there to eat. There was no wait, there may have been 5-6 tables full in the place. They sat us down - didnt say a word - and left. 5 min later they brought out water and a plate(?). Again they didnt say anything, just walked away. Fifteen min later they still have not taken our order or even drink order, so we left. WTF is that? I dont understand, we werent dressed trashy. They will not get a second chance with service like that.

Well, we had a good experience here when we came on a Saturday looking for a buffet lunch. The buffet was not offered on that day but they instead served my wife and I a very good lunch with a large plate of vegatable samosa, spinach curry, nan, and yummy rice for about $10. It was really delicious especially the spinach curry and nan. I mean really good. So, I do recommend even when some reviewers think it was aweful and a total ripoff. The service was more than sufficient so no complaints as our bellys were quite satisfied.
