I am already writing the review as I am waiting for my food. So far the service has been extremely slow. There are 5 servers and the place is about 1/3 full. We were seated right away but then had to wait 15 min before even seeing our server. In the meantime there were 4 or 5 other groups seated. One right next to us who got to order first and was assisted by 2 servers before we ever got to order. I am hoping the food is worth the poor service and attention we receivef. I saw no comprehensible reason why it should have taken 20 mind to order and now going on 45 mind to receive good when the establishment is obviously not busy and appears to have plenty of staff. A complete dissappointment.

This is an update to a review that I did several years ago complaining about being treated badly as a gay couple. They have really done some soul searching and welcomed us in the past year that made me want to come and give them a better review! Hockinson Café at Battle Ground has in my opinion "the best chicken fried steak and eggs in the WORLD!!! And they only have one waitress that Glares at us now but I think she is a supervisor so I dont know if she will ever not be there:( She might be an owners daughter but anyway, other than her self righteous attitude everyone else are AWESOME HAPPY People!

Manage your dining room! Its one thing to be busy and have people go on the list. Its another entirely when you continually seat individual people at multi person tables while making the large parties stand in the hallway. First come is first served but when the single lady says she wants a booth and you have at least 3 full families waiting try directing her to the counter seat or one of the many two person tables that were empty. I really hope "Bonnie" bought five full breakfasts and drinks that day after you gave her the last big table in the house. We walked out right after that.

I ordered a California Chicken Burger with fries, perhaps I shouldve gotten breakfast because this is one of the worst burgers Ive ever had. The bottom bun got so soggy, to the point where I couldnt hold it without the burger falling apart. The burger was overstuffed and just a mess. The fries are home style, not uniformly cut, which is fine; but, the fries had a terrible texture not fluffy in the middle or crisp. They also came unsalted. This burger is not worth the 11 dollar price tag, McDonalds would genuinely offer better chicken sandwiches.

Best breakfast place around, but coffee is horrible, I literally cant drink it, have to bring my own. Other than that coffee problem (which I am sure is just the way they make it, as I can drink IHOP coffee with one Splenda and one cream, so Im not that picky) the place is well worth the trip for anything breakfast or lunch related (not open after 4pm I believe, so no dinner options but you can order dinner during the day)

Slow service, not very friendly and the juice is a complete ripoff. I ordered a small orange juice for $1.79 and got the smallest cup Ive ever seen besides a shot glass. Id guess its 5 ounces. I posted a photo of the large vs small under the photos section. Large is the size of a normal water cup. Food was average

The food was very good. Prices seemed a lil high for such a place. Service was lacking a bit of enthusiasm & friendliness, but that seems to happen in these little, local places... youre the odd man out when you roll in from out of town. The breakfast menu looked great, would love to check it out.

The Hockinson cafe in Battle Ground has it all. Fantastic ambiance, a terrific staff and great food. It is a favorite for me every I happen to come to Battle Ground. What I want to know is when are they going to open one in my home town in Montana? You guys are the BEST!

The food was good, but absolutely terrible service. It wasnt even busy, and there were 4 waitresses just wandering around. Our coffee was gone by the time someone finally came to take our order....and she wasnt exactly friendly.

Great good, fast friendly service, reasonable prices, large portions. Google did not steer us wrong here. Sufficient parking, but a little tight. Dont try with anything bigger than a pickup truck.
