I went to startbucks this morning to enjoy the weather and have a PSL. When I got there I ordered a PSL and a pupaccino. Karen who was working the register had no idea what a pupaccino was and made a scene a long with facial expressions that were uncalled for. I and some of the other workers tried to explain what it was but it was like she wasnt undertanding. Once she finally caught on she gave me such a hard time for ordering that for my dog. She sat there and kept asking me "Why would you give your dog whip cream?" "I work at a few kennels and Im on a board and you should NOT give your dog dairy" I completely understand that yes, whip cream isnt the best for your dog, but holy cow if I want to order it then just give it to me no questions asked. I sat there in shock with how this lady was coming at me. The other workers seemed to be surprised as well and they tried to step in and tell her to stop but it wasnt working. I left there feeling embarrassed and judged. I later called and spoke with Sarah who was very apologetic and explained that she spoke with Karen to let her know what she did was not okay. It is safe to say I probably wont be going back to this Starbucks because I dont feel like being judged on my choices. So letting everyone know who may order a pupaccino to watch out for Karen.

Its a Starbucks. A little bigger than the one in South Riding. My only complaint is a minor one. After you order you wait for your coffee at the end of the bar, right? Unless you order a heated sandwich. Then you have to fight back thru the line to get the food on the other side. My wife was drink was called on the end of the bar, at the same time her name was called by another barista at the other end. I know I sound like your typical lazy American, but shouldnt your drinks amd food be picked up at the same spot? Plus I dont like telling people "excuse me" as I cut through the waiting to order line to get to my food. Not operating at peak efficiency for the customer. Next time I go in Ill offer this suggestion to the staff (they were too busy this morning). If it changes, Ill update this review. But all in all, friendly staff, quick service, and they have a drive thru!

This is a great coffee shop! They seem so cutting edge when it comes to coffee (who knew that would ever be a thing?!). Most coffee shops just have plain old caffeinated and decaf, but the options here are astounding. We dont go that often because face it, with this level of innovation comes a higher price tag, but its a fun treat now and then. The have food too which is nice because sometimes you want to eat with your coffee. If they keep this up, theyll be in a good spot. I wouldnt be surprised if they open up a new location at some point!

What a wonderful establishment to spend my money at. The service is great and speedy but my drinks never taste the same. Also, there is no consistency when it comes to the sanity of the employees at the South Riding Starbucks. Some days the baristas are crazy, some days they are completely normal people. If one lingers long enough in the lobby, one has the chance to hear conversation about anal sex, and other wonderful whispers of inappropriate talk in the workplace. Keep up the fine work, Im sure Howard Shultz would be so proud.

I asked for hot chocolate pods and they gave me the wrong ones. Now they wont take it back. They mentioned they can only take it back with a receipt. But when i bought the pods, my understanding was that having the receipt was optional.

This Starbucks has a great, small neighborhood feel to it! Easy to get to know the employees and theyve got a great memory for customers. This is my go-to Starbucks even though it doesnt have a drivethru.
