This place has had a massive renovation and is now beautiful with two floors of seating and a nice view of the Plaza from the large windows on both floors. They are still just a couple weeks into the reopening so have limited food (a few pastries and now a few small hot dishes for dinner) but their coffee drink selection is pretty extensive, and includes Almond milk as a dairy alternative. No sugar free syrups yet but hopefully that will come in time too. Their WiFi is a bit on the sluggish side - at least on a busy Saturday morning, but otherwise this is a great place to come and hang out with locals - its in a Plaza that isnt always easily discovered unless you know about it. But Lake Anne Plaza is a great place with a number of nice places to eat and shop, and hosts a Saturday farmers market and craft market.

Terrible experience. My daughter has Celiacs and we asked the server twice for gluten free bread and confirmed again when the food arrived. Yeah well it wasnt...which we discover after she ate most of her sandwich. Now she is sick. Server claimed she didnt hear the gluten free part. BS. Def avoid if you have any dietary restrictions. Otherwise, enjoy the terrible service and long wait times.

Great local family run spot, with a lot of awesome history but recently completely renovated and brought up to date in terms of both the facility and the offerings. Coffee in the morning, wine at night. Earning a reputation for great food, which is well deserved. Frequent events including jazz and storytelling, this place is a pillar of the community. Locals ONLY! (Im kidding. Come on down).

I I had the duck tacos 3 average size tacos for $16. It was a duck compote with fresh corn tacos that were average nothing special. Decent wine list 8 to $12 for a glass. This was at 9 p.m. I believe they do most of their business as a coffee shop earlier in the day. It deserves perhaps a 3.5 star if they garnish the tacos with arugula or mesclun mix. Service was slow on this night

Their coffee is a massive improvement over the previous place. Finally a place to get a good cup of coffee that isnt starbucks. They have done a great job renovating the place to make it a place you could hang out for hours. The upstairs fireplace and lounge is a nice touch if you are looking for a quiet place to do some reading or get a little work done.

Coffee really isnt that great and the staff in the wine room needs to find another place to dump ice into their bucket, not next to patrons. Itd also be nice if either of them asked us if they could get us anything, and for the staff working the coffee area to not be chatting in the back room while ignoring the line.

As someone who lives for laptop work at a coffeeshop, this place is a godsend for the area. I do wish they focused more on the coffee culture and less on the wine patrons, as this place would be a great venue for open mic nights, tech meetups, and other typical small coffeeshop things.

Tried these guys out for breakfast this AM after recommendations from friends. Awesome little place. We both had the croque madame and it was great. Coffees and lattes were spot on too. Definitely will be back. Now that we know about it - have to try the Wine Bar!

This has reopened under new management-- they did a gut renovation and the new place is beautiful and clean and bright-- coffee shop on the first story, wine bar on the second. I had a delicious latte + pop tart the other day and will be returning soon to try more.

Do yourself a favor and try some of the dishes upstairs at the wine bar. Delicious! This charming little coffee house and the upstairs wine bar are going a long way toward getting Lake Anne back on the map.

Super cute brunch place! The inside has two floors with wine tasting on the top, the downstairs is small but has a ton of nice outdoor seating. The menu is small but the food is delicious and comes quick!

Completely renovated by new owners. A really nice community place to relax and spend time. Love the fireplace upstairs, and the patio will be nice in the spring. Try the food as well - incredibly tasty.

Cappuccino and latte were better than Starbucks, for my taste. I didnt try the pastries, but it looked like a nice selection. Clean, modern decor and a great patio. I will definitely be back!
