One of the best Chinese restaurants outside of Chine. I spent 2 years in Beijing so I actually have the reference to make that statement. Its still American Chinese food, but they do a great job. Of course if there is something you want thats not on the menu, in my experience if you ask for it they will make it provided they have what they need to prepare it. And to finish this review off, what really makes this a great little place in the country to eat, is the people who run the restaurant. They are a really nice and friendly group. They are the hard working, productive LEGAL immigrants America has always welcomed. If you are reading this because you are looking for a great place to eat in the area, if you like Chinese food, the this is where you want to eat. I hope you enjoy your meal. :-)

Based on these ratings, I asked my husband to stop at China King as he headed down I-81. Food was basically inedible. Dumplings doughy in the extreme, off taste to filling. Chicken fried rice was tasteless. Orange Beef: I was encouraged by the orange peel and the very fresh, crisp broccoli. But you could not find the beef inside the breading. It was like a mouthful of mush. Never again.

Told lady taking order that I would wait outside with my dog for my order. Was told would be 15 min. After numerous times of making eye contact with her I checked on my order 25 min and she did not have the courtesy to tell me that it had been ready. We love the food here - at reasonable prices and tastes fresh. There a many things to choose from: try the chicken fried rice some time - as a main course! Add a bit of salt & pepper and youve got a delicious, filling course! Not a place for romantic ambiance, but just for really good food a very reasonable prices :-)

I live in Hawaii, but whenever Im in the Mt. Jackson area to visit family, one of my first stops is China King! They have the most delicious, savory, fluffy egg-foo-yung Ive ever had.
