This restaurant has so much potential. I have been there three times now, twice for lunch and once for dinner. It is a beautiful and very romantic restaurant. It has a very nice menu. The salads are ridiculously good (I think the dressing is a tad too heavy but my husband disagrees.) The prime rib was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Even the steak on the steak salad was tender. The bread is great. I had the Arthur Murray merlot which was unexceptional. The waiter was personable and nice but did not recommend any wines to me when I was faltering over my decision. If the waiters were trained in the wines, the restaurant would sell more. The girls who seat the patrons from the front desk have not been friendly. For my dinner date night, the girl did not even smile at us once. I was forced to joke with my husband that we were being seated by Tuesday from The Adams Family she was so stiff! For one of my lunches there, the front desk girl seated us and then we had no waiter for about 15 minutes which I do not think was the waiters fault (had a feeling he wasnt told about us by the stonefaced greeter.) He was very pleasant and speedy once he knew about us. So, if you dont mind somewhat spotty service, this restaurant is a lovely local find. The food is great, portions perfect but if they work on getting people in there who are friendly and work together more, this could go to a 5 star review easily. Also, train your people up on the wine, maybe put out a wine menu with descriptions so people have the tasting notes for what they are buying so they dont go in blind. Offering wine flights for a tasting experience would also be an excellent addition.

First, let me start by saying Eric and Erics girl (Summer) are the BEST staff in the place (ok, the cooks too because the food was amazing... oh yeah, and the manager, sorry I didnt get your name)! The only reason I am not rating this place 5 stars is because my wife and I waited 2 1/2 hours even after making "call ahead seating" arrangements, but the food and service WAS BEYOND FIVE STARS *NOTE* The girl on the phone told us they do not take reservations, only "call ahead seating" arrangements, but that we would not wait longer than an hour at most. However, as my wife and I sat near the bar our first waitress (female) was replaced by Eric (male); he served us drinks and just talked with us assuring we would get us in somewhere after he had learned we had been waiting for nearly two hours at the time (the server before him apparently didnt tell him). Eric wasnt kidding, when a couple was barely standing at a cocktail table about half an hour later, he swooped in to save the table, but our buzzer had just rang - FINALLY! We were seated and a waitress by the name of Summer took care of us for the rest of the evening and the manager even compd our appetizers in appreciation of our patience. THE FOOD WAS AMAZZZZING AND WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK! Thanks again Eric, (Erics girl) Summer, and their manager for a wonderful evening! Brandon and Jessica

Went on a Saturday night with my sister-in-law and family. Had a separate check - it gets better. They proceed to make their orders and we had the burgers and appetizers. The crab cake appetizer was small and bland, but has plenty of lettuce/cabbage to emphasize how small the cakes are. The burgers and buns were both so burned we didnt even finish them. The drinks were watered down and horribly expensive for what you get - were not in Downtown DC so 10.00 watered drinks? I kept thinking all the reviews I read on here and yelp couldnt be all wrong, right? So after dinner we skipped dessert because I wanted to go down the street to Flame Kebab to get something that wasnt burned. The waitress who spent the entire time fawning over my sister-in-laws family (all 8 of them practically ignoring my wife and I) The check comes: 150 for two people. I signed it and left. The waitress ran my wife down and demanded a tip. I filled out the final number and gave it back to a hostess - Im not tipping for crappy service of a crappy meal. Got the bank statement this Wednesday: someone gave themselves a 30.00 tip that I never authorized. Diner beware - the staff doesnt apparently feel to be above stealing. Never again. You want something good in Leesburg? Lightfoot or Palio.

12/23 was my girlfriend and I first experience at FireBirds Wood Fired Grill. We walked in without reservations and were seated immediately. The inside of this establishment was beautiful, the bar was very neat and colorful. The fire wood fireplaces crackled wood over the very soothing music playing. Our waitress Amanda M. was very professional, nice as well as promot. We started with the Lobster and Spinach Queso Dip. (Outstanding!!!!!!!) And after we finished that we proceeded to order our entrees. I ordered a bleu cheese sirloin with a loaded baked potato and my girlfriend had the sirloin cut with a loaded baked potato as well. The protein was cooked exactly how we ordered it and the taste of all of the food was phenomenonal. After enjoying our entrees Mr.Frankie Polanco (General Manager) approached our table and began talking to us about our experience here. The conversation was genuine, he cared to know what brought us to the area, as well as if we needed anything else. He expressed how thankful he was that we came in, and wished us a happy holidays as well. The experience was great, anyone that has not been and needs a reason to go, I hope this pursuades your decision.

Firebirds New place in Leesburg based on a chain. Im glad to see this place open. We hesitated at first because it seems everythign on the menu is a la carte, which usually means $$$$$ However, we went on a weekday and noticed that the bar area has happy hour specials. These are SUPER specials. 1/2 of an assortment of apps and cocktails in the Fire Bar. We had the Ranch Rings and sliders. Ranch ringers are awesome. Sliders could have used a little more flavor (make sure you ask for ketchup as they only drizzle mustard on the plate) We also had two side salads, which are HUGE. We could have easily just eaten the salads and sliders. I tried the mango mojito and it was pretty good. Next time we might try the dining area if it is a weekend. I would definitely recommend the happy hour specials though-lots of food/drinks for a great price.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Firebirds in Leesburg. We usually go to the one in Gainesville because its closer to our home but ended up in Leesburg this time because we were meeting friends from Frederick. I had made reservations for 6. Our table was ready early even though it was VERY crowded. They seated us in a big booth but it was very evident that it clearly was not big enough for the 6 of us to be comfortable. The manager Frankie Polanco and our server Sherrie were very gracious in securing us a bigger round table so we would be more comfortable. They went above and beyond making us feel comfortable! Sherrie was an excellent server. It was a perfect evening. We love Firebirds and the Black Diamond Martinis........YUMMY! I will drive back to Leesburg for the service. It was first class!
