The service makes me not want to go back. Food is good, but my waiter argued with me, told me it was my fault that the wine was too sweet, promised to give our table two more glasses of wine from a different bottle for free, then brought an entire other bottle and made me pay for it after it was opened. We ordered two salads, he only brought one, then argued with me about what I had ordered. When I ordered the food as "hot" as they could make it, he disagreed with me that I could handle the spice...and I am Indian. He also did not give my husband (who is White) the level of hotness he ordered in his dish because he said he didnt know if he could handle it. When I asked for to go containers to box the food, he did not bring me what I asked, and instead packaged my nan the way he wanted, versus how I would have liked to. He asked where I was from, and when I told him Guyana, he told me that my daughter looks like a real Indian girl.....she is half white, and appears Italian....whereas I am clearly Indian. I felt as though I was being treated as an Indian woman within the traditional caste system of India by a male who wants to be dominant. Extremely poor service...difficult to get over and go back again.

If youre looking for something different & exotic this is the best place to go to. The setting there is very calm, clean, and beautifully decorated. They have a decently priced lunch menu which includes, Tikka Masala. It is a delicious tomato cream based sauce with chicken, I highly recommend it if you desire a mild taste. The dish is served with a side of naan & aged basmati rice. If my boyfriend & I go during dinner time, we order the Mixed Grill because of its variety. It includes assortments of Chicken Kebabs, Boti Kebab, Tandoori Shrimp, Fish Tikka, served with endless basmati rice. I do agree they need more servers, but the manager is very nice. During one of our visits the place was packed and we waited a while for our food. When we asked where our entrees were our server quickly made the manager aware of our concern and less than 5 mins later we began to chow down our delicious meals. I highly recommend this place. Definitely check it our for yourself! (:

If I had to rate this place on food alone, it would be a 5 stars... HOWEVER, I have been going here for almost 2 years and the service is TERRIBLE. It usually took us at least 20 minutes to flag down a server to come take our order every time we went - which wasnt the greatest but was tolerable given the quality of the food. The last time we went, we waited 1 HOUR and 45 MINUTES for after ordering our food before we got up, left, and went somewhere else to eat. During this almost 2 hour wait, we flagged down 3 different servers asking to check on our food and all they said was "soon". The restaurant was busy, but there were still plenty of empty tables..... if it takes the kitchen 2 hours to get out 2 plates of curry - then they just need to shut down the restaurant. There were no updates on our food, no apologies, and no checking in on us. We left hungry and disappointed and will never be returning.

While Ive seen other comments about bad food or service not meeting their expectations, Im going to honestly differ. Monsoon was my first ever true Indian dining experience years back with friends who got to teach me about some of it (e.g. its allegedly culturally appropriate to eat curry and rice with your fingers, but only if you use your non-dominant aka "wiping" hand). Ive gone on more than a couple dates there since and each time has been a palate pleasure, even if the bill does quickly rack up. However, after eating at many other Indian restaurants in and around London, this one nestled in Hampton fits those expectations perfectly. Personally, I like it if these fine meals take more than an hour or two as you have time to enjoy the food and company of friends.

9/4/15. Went with a large group with young kids, we all absolutely loved it. Great service, very helpful with the menu. The server was patience with new Indian food goers asking multiple questions. Servers had playful interaction with the kids. Nice clean atmosphere, and will return for sure. As we packed up leftovers, my wife dropped the main course of her meal onto the floor, the manager saw it happen. He then immediately, made an additional piece of the meal, on the fly for my wife, before we left. He did this on his own, which was very accommodating, this was after telling him not to worry about it. Everyone went home with a togo box, a full belly, and a smile!

Atmosphere was relaxed, but upscale. Started the meal with Aloo Tikki and Bread Basket appetizers. Perfect amount for 4 people. Continued with curry, tandoori, vindaloo, and kashmiri chicken dishes. All were great, but ordering "spicy" didnt seem to greatly increase the heat. All were mild for Indian and even by some American standards. The mint chutney was also a flavorful addition to the meal. Overall, great food and reasonably priced for the quality and portions. Only reason this isnt 5 stars is the wait. Two large parties were going on and I think the service was just overwhelmed. Will definitely go again and update the review if they get faster.

If i had to rate this restaurant on its food alone, I would rate it a 4/5. Theres no denying the food is good here, but the service was atrocious. I arrived at 7pm and didnt end up leaving until almost 9pm. Mind you, I went alone so there was no "chit chatter" to slow the process down. I was sat and no one even came to take my order until I flagged someone down 15 minutes after being seated. When I ran out of water, I had to flag someone down 4 times to refill. I got my food over an hour after ordering. One I finally did get my food, it seemed as though the waiter asked me every 5 minutes if my food was okay. I was disappointed in the service.

in the middle of the lunch rush, the place was quite busy. I was greeted quickly and seated. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was prepared to help with ordering from the menu. The wait for an appetizer was about 5 minutes. Everything was well seasoned but, not spicy. The waiter asks how do you like your food- mild or spicy? That really makes a difference, Even though $12 is a bit much, I think the food was high quality!!!! At the end of the meal, I had observed many customers of all age groups- it is a quiet, peaceful place. People seemed very happy with their meals.

I have to agree that this restaurant is failing due to its customer service. This owner needs to hire a wait staff that can cater to the customer especially is a service business. I arrived with my family mid Sunday and were the only ones here. The waitress refused to seat us outside which was obviously open. Waitress was rude and unhelpful. When the food arrived it was brought by the cook and if the waitress had his customer service this would be a very successful restaurant. Food was great and ambience is awesome. Its too bad they fail in such a vital area.
