We have gone to this place numerous numerous times and every time we go we get bad service, but the breakfast was decent and the portions were good so we continued to return, yet every time we left I found that we were complaining about how horrible is service was wondering why we go back. Now the last straw was the last time we were in there and I think I saw 4 servers... yes 4, and the one that seated us sat us with no menus. 2 different ones walked right past us servicing other tables still no menus, no greeting, no slap in the face haha. They completely had no acknowledgement that we were sitting there so after about 7 or 8 minutes that felt like 20 minutes we left. So yes that was enough for us we will never ever step foot in that disgraceful diner again so many other great places to have breakfast in Front Royal minutes away with better food and obviously much better service! See ya Front Royal diner dont know how you stay in business!

Nope, nope and NOPE. Ive been to this establishment many times over the last four years and after the last three visits I will never grace this dumps doorway again. The food is mediocre at best, but the service is terrible. I suppose I dont look enough like a local to even get seated here. The last three visits, weve stood near the cash register next to the "please wait to be seated" sign and we are ignored by the staff. This past Saturday we arrived for breakfast and the diner was not very busy. After a few minutes of not being acknowledged by the various staff, I finally asked the cashier if someone could seat us and she gave me a bewildered look. She looked at me as if I was speaking Mandarin Chinese. Ill take my business and money elsewhere.

I want to like this place, and try to support local business, but the wait staff is always so surly. They obviously dont like their jobs and avoid doing them as much as possible, that is, unless you they know you. The known locals were the only ones i saw receiving service with any amount of friendliness. At my last visit, I was treated while checking out to hearing the lady taking my money holler to her colleague across the room that if she "gave 14 away one more time" she would "chop her in the throat." Nice. No wonder they have a help wanted sign up. I know better than to get anything but breakfast there, which is ok at best, but its not worth feeling like youre an annoyance. Ill take my business elsewhere from now on.

One of the reviews for this diner has become a family meme - "the portions were big and the food was very tasty". We use it ironically ! Because the food was really awful. I had the feeling that they dont even have a kitchen but rather a place where they rip open packages of ready-made bad supermarket food and throw it on a plate, followed by a gloop of something ready made from a tub. So of course they could afford to make the portions generous...we couldnt finish either of the four dishes we ordered. Probably wouldnt have eaten them at all but we were really hungry.

We went here for the first time Saturday. Dont judge from the outside.Inside is nice and great food. I wanted lunch he wanted breakfast.at 11:00 in the morning I was able to get lunch on a weekend. Best open faced roast beef,homemade and real mash potatoes. Huge breakfast for him.wr loved it.GREAT SERVICE AND SWEET GIRL. The waitress really cared about the place and her customers. We will be back!!!

Really bad service. Waitress was on drugs or something. It was enjoyable for that reason only hence the 1 star. We were sat down at a dirty table. There were dishes on the rest that werent cleaned up. Seemed like there was a regular crowd that eats there then the tourists. I dont recommend. The food was cheap and decent so if thats your thing then try it out

It was ok. It was like they never were busy before. When we got there a few tables were leaving. everyone was running around out of breath. definitely have seen diners more crowded then they were. Food came out luke warm. Flavor was the usual for pancakes and an omlete. Decent prices

family run business. Staff were friendly and courteous.Food was good, plenty. Bill was half what we pay at Tysons corner restaurants. And they had a notice of apology for stopping to server $1.99 breakfast. Seriously?? breakfast for $1.99. How is it possible :)

Omelettes are off the hook. Freah ingredients The gravy for biscuits and gravy; not impressed. I know home cooking gravy. I dont know if the chef was having a bad day. But wasnt impressed at all. Service was excellent. Waitresses are very nice.

Very good food. Big portions and a fun place to eat a really good meal. Dont forget about dessert....thats if you still have room. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are calling. Come hungry. .... leave stuffed and satisfied.

Typical breakfast size portions. Food is typical diner food; everything tasted as it should. Service was ok. Server was nice. They didnt have 3 things we asked for that was on the menu; so an updated menu would be nice.
