La Flor Michoacana is widely known by the university students in the area as an Instagram worthy spot for their aesthetically pleasing (and relatively cheap- $2.20 each) popsicles. They have a wide variety of flavors- everything from a key lime pie to a pineapple to a bubblegum concoction. Most flavors have large pieces of fruit or cookie that can be seen through the wrapping, all of which contribute to the photo-op potential of this place. As for taste, the lime pie popsicle that I had was extremely creamy and definitely tasted as I remember key lime pie to taste. The cookie acting as a "pie crust" was just a bit crunchy but not frozen- the perfect replica of the pies crust itself. The original popsicle that my friend had- a yogurt pop with kiwi and other fruit in it- was delicious as well. She complained about the kiwi adding a bit of a sour taste, but I found no problems as it added to the flavor. Needless to say, I will be coming here again!

Merch Colony

Sweetest place in Cville (pun intended) and we stock up on their paletas so we can enjoy for days. They wrap the popsicles in foil so you can preserve them during the drive home. Try the hibiscus and the cheesecake - okay and the pistachio and the butter pecan and the pina colada.... you get the idea!

Very authentic Mexican desserts, best fruit flavored ice cream in Charlottesville. I cannot recommend this place more. Absolutely loved interacting with the staff, who were really charming and fluent in English and Spanish. They also had some killer horchata if you like milk-based flavored drinks.

This place is amazing. So good, I almost dont want to share. There is a wide selection of flavors, including a lot that you wont see anywhere else (many flavors feature seasonal, fresh fruit). Not only are the flavors great, but the texture is delightfully creamy. So good!

I love this place! The popsicles are delicious (caramel is my favorite so far) and so is the scooped ice cream. Very bright and colorful space, lots of interesting candies and bakery items. Very affordable, very much worth the effort to visit. Thank you.

Ice cream is excellent (great flavors and very smooth and creamy) and the popsicles are fantastic - a favorite with my grandchildren. Would definitely recommend to my friends. Such a variety - except didnt care for the guacamole - must be an acquired taste.

Wide variety of classic and creative homemade popsicle and ice cream flavors. We tried mango and lime popsicle flavors on my first recent visit, and both were excellent. Will definitely go back, cant believe I havent tried here sooner!

So many flavors!!!! They have dairy and non-dairy popsicle options. You can also get ice cream if popsicles arent your jam. I got the vanilla paleta with fresh strawberries and Oreos in it. Highly recommended.
