I am literally shocked by the reviews here. SHOCKED. This place was awful! Stopped in on the way home, looking for breakfast. The parking lot was full and the place was packed, so we thought we hit the ticket! After being seated at a DIRTY table, it then took almost 20 minutes for someone to even bring us menus (even though the woman who sat us was just sitting and talking). I love coffee, and I didnt think it was possible to mess it up, but it tasted like metal. I ordered a western omelette with cheese. My friend a cheese omelette-- both w/ home fires. The omelettes came out LOOKING okay, but the potatoes were neon yellow, no joke, NEON YELLOW! After tasting my omelette, the egg tasted like nothing and the ham in my omelette tasted like it was from a can (spam? EWWWWW!), there was almost no cheese in it- which was probably good, because the cheese taste like it was old. my friend said his was disgusting and only ate some of it after adding a mountain of salt and pepper to get some taste. I literally was able to eat about 3 bites of egg and the potatoes were equally disgusting. I ended up leaving hungry and completely grossed out by the food. Should have known by the fact that this place was on Hazard Ave... their food is a HAZARDOUS to your health. Such a disappointment since I LOVE breakfast diner food.

Went to Country Diner this morning with my boyfriend and I ordered a simple breakfast: 2 chocolate chip pancakes and a side of hash browns. My boyfriend had a buffalo chicken sandwich and we both had waters to drink. When my pancakes came out, they were super thin and barely had any chocolate chips in them. Not a huge deal, maybe they had a new cook or something. I just ate my hash browns while I waited for the waitress to come back and check on us...which she did 10 minutes later. At which time, my boyfriend had already drank all his water, and was drinking mine. I told the waitress about the pancakes. She didnt apologize nor did she ask if I wanted them remade. All she said was, "Ill have them taken off your bill." She didnt even ask if my boyfriend needed another refill of his water. Now it would be one thing if the place was busy. This place had a couple of tables filled and that was it. Maybe the waitress was new, but we were both very disappointed in our experience of Country Diner.

wow, I have to agree with the last reviewer, this place is horrible. Right Off the back, I will state I am originally from the south. So I have someone of a natural biased about southern food. having said that, I have lived in NE for about 10 years, and I have gotten used to the horribly bad southern copy food. but this as bad, I mean really bad. The worst part was it was not just one thing, all the food was bad. The chicken tasted like burnt rubber, no joke, kfc is better, and thats saying something. The mash potatoes was soupy, the Salad was brown, the gravy tasted like sour water, and the Mac and cheese tasted like a tv diner. for one of the first times in my life, I did not even want to finish, I eat abot half, did not want to take it home. DO NOT GO HERE. I love food, and I feel like I have been violated

Food is OK, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. From the servers, cashiers, managers....They just dont seem to care because they are always busy. If you like to be treated like crap, and overpaid for just OK breakfast, then this is the place for you. Maybe little by little as they start losing customers they will get an awakening. Also it seems its very difficult for them to get their entire staff on the same page, you go there one day and order something off the menu, you get charged X amount, you go there THE VERY NEXT DAY and order the same thing, you get charged a different amount. Good luck continuing to do business the way you have been, sooner or later. It will catch up..... In the meanwhile, Ill make sure I tell EVERYONE I know and post as many reviews as possible to alert potential new customers.

We are frequent customers at the Country Diner every weekend. We enjoy the staff and the food except for the waitress we have had the past few weeks. She takes our order and we dont see her until she drops the check on our table. Not once does she come over to check on us, to see if the food is ok, if we need anything or even to see if we need more coffee. I know they changed the wait staff around the diner so i think next weekend we are going to see what section Jay is working and sit there. We had more interaction with Anita ( the sweet girl who cleans off the tables) than our waitress. Not happy with our service from this waitress. I am not usually one to complain but I think I have kept my mouth shut long enough.

Bad all the way. We went there for breakfast. The service is really bad, not even mediocre: our server just came to our table to take our order and to bring us the bill. Never came to ask us how is everything, if we want refills on our coffee. Some other person brought the food to the table. We had to ask a different server for more coffee. We got an omelet. The potatoes that came with it had a weird color: neon-yellow. The food overall was bellow average. When we paid, we complained about the poor service, we got an im sorry and that was it. That was the last time they will see us there. Do yourselves a favor and go to any other place, do not waste your time and money here.

Reviewers are always so over critical. Especially if you are going into a PACKED diner like "Country" frequently is (packed). The reason for that is because everyone in Enfield/surrounding towns LOVE the Country Diner for its awesome food. Like every other food establishment, nothing is perfect 100% of the time, i have had my fair share of mistakes made to my order here and there, but it is easily forgivable when you realize what a great place the Country Diner is, long live local business.

I have lived in Enfield my whole life and only went to the Country Diner one time years ago and did not care for it. Then just this year my husband and I started to go and its fantastic! The staff is very friendly although the owner and his friend could smile more. The food is great and weve been for all three meals. The menu has a LOT to choose from and the service has always been good.

This is one of those hidden gems you see on food network specials. Small family owned atmosphere, always packed with locals who know where to go for great food at great prices. Ive only ever had their breakfast items, but their lunch and dinner menus are equally impressive. This is a very comfortable and casual place with a diner type atmosphere.

A little dirty but with friendly and fast service. Milk tasted a bit expired, but the orange juice was fresh and delicious. Pancakes were a bit bland by themselves, but after a good helping of butter and syrup they tasted great! Overall an enjoyable experience with a nice atmosphere, but I probally wouldnt eat there again.
