I just moved to the area and was very happy learn that hannafords was close by as I prefer to shop only at hannafords! I walked in and my first thought was how unbelievably small this store is, second every product I went to purchase was damaged, milk jugs and orange juice jugs caved in! And card board packaging damaged! Then completely unorganized compared to the many hannafords I have shopped at and little to choose from compared to most hannafords. BUT MY BIGGEST ISSUE is that I purchased several products only to get them home and feed them to my family to find that they were OVER 4 MONTHS EXPIRED!!!! By far the worst hannafords I have ever shopped at, and Im sad to say that now I will have to travel just to shop at a decent hannafords!! I will never shop her again, unless serious changes are made to this store!

Good food, decent selection, reasonable prices, helpful employees. Of the chain supermarkets operating locally, Hannaford has the best combination of quality, price and service. Produce could be better at times, but is of acceptable quality. The store carries a good selection of decently-priced grocery items and they have also been adding more gluten-free items. A responsive "customer-centric" store.

The latest renovation has decreased product selection and increased prices across the board. The store is a labyrinth, impossible to find the most barest of necessities. The flow of the store is just off. Downgrade. I hate to say, but I prefer Price Chopper now, and thats just sad.

They could do better, but they are the best deal in my area and shelf pricing generally matches the receipt. Veggies and fruits tend to fresh. They need someone staffed near the self checkouts. Waiting for staff to respond makes the regular checkouts faster.

Like all grocery stores has a huge variety only compared to say Shaws their organic selection is much stronger. Im speaking soley for the Essex location as Milton has has a much smaller selection and isnt fresh much.

I picked 10 items that I regularly shop for and compared prices. Of the 3 big chains, Hannaford, Shaws, Pricechopper, Hannafords had the lowest. Friendly staff here.....even through the crazy construction!!!

Good grocery store, has everything you expect, but item locations were just rearranged as part of an unnecessary renovation. I found a 3" screw (quite likely from the construction) near one of my car tires.

Good, basic large grocery store. Their specialities are good, fresh sushi and roasted turkeys and chickens. Never got sick from either one, after years of eating them. Cant say that for many other places.
