Over-hyped and totally underwhelming. Seriously. This place has such a cult following and I dont know why (the secret menu perhaps)? After having eaten at various locations a total of about 10 times over the years I have to say its one of the worst fast food burgers around and HANDS DOWN THE WORST FRIES. The good: nice concept chain with excellent service. The bad: where do I begin? The fries are terrible. Theyre never crispy or crunchy, always a degree of soggy and flavorless. How they can turn fresh potatoes into fries this bad I will never know. Dont waste your money on "Animal Style" either ... you pay almost $4 for fries that have tasteless cheese, carmelized onions, and 1000 Island on them. Gross. The burger pattys? To quote Monty Python: Theyre wafer thin. You have to get at least a double to even notice there is meat in the burger. I used to make a point of going to IN and OUT every time I was down in Las Vegas before they opened in SLC and it always seemed good. I think that had a lot to do with being tremendously hung over every time in Vegas. I realized soon after they opened in SLC when I ate there that it really is just average. At best. I just had lunch there after about a year (long enough to apparently forget how bad it is) and its just not good. For $7-10 and a fast food burger head to Smashburger, 5 Guys, or locally here in SLC Crown Burger, Apollo Burger or Tonyburger... they might cost a smidge more but theyre so much better. Ill never intentionally eat at IN and OUT again, its just bad. Nothing to do with this particular location, just the whole chain.

Not fantastic, but not terrible either.... I wanted to check out the myth of In And Out Burger, so I made a trip across town. The simple menu was a reminder of a simpler time, with only 5 items on it. The food wasnt spectacular, but it was okay - kind of average, like what you might make at home - maybe that means its healthier. Maybe that is the appeal of the place... If Im in the area, I might stop by for a bite, but probably not worth another special trip. 2+ years later: This place has grown on me. I visit at least once a week and I really respect the quality of their food. I have only gotten bad fries (overcooked) once and when I brought it to their attention, they replaced them, bringing the new ones to my table. So much better than the slop served by the big burger chains - I cant even eat at those places anymore!!

We orders cheeseburgers and fries. The burgers are very good, served in a paper wrap to keep the juiciness off your lap. ☺ The shoestring fries are tasty. When we arrived the dining room did not have an empty seat. Our food came out quickly and by the time it was ready seats were available. My husband was asked four times"May I help you?" by four dining room employees. They are very helpful and attentive. Employee Mike, spoke with us, answering all my husbands questions regarding the restaurant in a very friendly, professional manner. Ashton was also working in the dining room and offered to help us and spoke with us also. What wonderful young men, a real asset to In-N-Out Burger.

I specifically called the In-N-Out hotline to make sure that if I got the hamburger combo, I would have no problem with my dairy allergy. I was assured that the patty, bun, and sauce were all dairy-free. I was soooo sick to my stomach that night. My husband also ate there with me (he does NOT have a dairy allergy) and he was also a bit sick an hour or so after eating there, so maybe they just dont cook their burgers fully? Bad meat? Not sure, but never going back. The only good thing was the fries

This place is always packed and there is a small wait for food. But I love there food here and im sure at some point Its going to make me fatter then what I already am. But I cant complain because they are quick and friendly every time. Also the food is amazing. Also know that you can ask for things like you want your fries covered (Covered in cheese), or animal style which has fries covered in onions and cheese and other things. Ask because its not on my the menu.

I did drive thru on my way home from work. It was busy! The staff did an excellent job making sure that the order was 100% correct when I ordered. They happily went out of their way to get me 7 hats and stickers for all of the kids. When the gave me my food they put it in a covered box, but apparently not all of the food was in the box, so I had to run inside to get my last hamburger because they didnt give me my full order before sending me on my way.

Going through their drive thru today, and the register employee handed me back my card and a receipt that had blood stains on them. I guess he had an uncovered cut on his hand (?) Serious health violation. I have already reported this problem with the Salt Lake County Health Department. This should never happen. Please beware folks, blood carries numerous potentially dangerous diseases.

I had the double cheese burger, fries and a milk shake. The milk shake was the best part of my meal, the fries tasted really strange kinda like a powdered French fry and the burger was bland possibly seasoned with water flakes. The line was super long but it was moving very fast A+ because the line was around the building. My review is based on the quick service and great milk shake.

Excellent burgers. The fresh ingredients make a difference, especially the tomatoes. The drive through dialogue is a breath of fresh air after Arbys "Would you like to try our new bleh burger?" and scripted conversations. This place is big and clean and I love it. The lack of fry sauce is my only complaint, but simplicity was the goal, not variety.

Drove 7.5 miles to my first in and out experience and it was well worth it. I never post reviews but I had to for more people must know this place is awesome. You know when you see a McDonalds commercial and the food looks so good, but then when you actually go it sucks? Well the food I had today did taste like a commercial.

The food is extremely good for fast food and the place has a nice atmosphere. Its very clean and the employees dont seem like they hate their jobs. Some people say it has high prices, but its actually really good pricing for what you get. There is also a hidden menu. You can Google that for more info.

The service was great until we found a dead fried fly in our fries. We went to go tell one of the employees and all they said was " its just a potato slice" they did not give us a refund or anything. Please pay more attention to the sanitation. Really upset with the service we received today.
