I dont know how theyve continued to pass the health deoartments requirements for the last 15+ yrs cuz when u look at the greasy carpets and small kitchen area lined with grease going up the walls it kinda might make the weak stomached sick, not to mention the 5ft grease trail leading outside onto the cement side walk, & I dont think theyve changed their grease in their fryers since theyve opened but maybe thats what makes it so good & thsts why I keep coming back, I might also recomend you callvin your take out order so you have limited exposure lol. Their sandwiches sre to die for, their massive their 12" is equal to about a 24" anywhere else with how much meat and ingrdients they will pile on for you. I usually get the 8" American meats and substitute the cheddar for provolone yhen just add a whole bunch of pickles thats ham bologna and salomi stacked high then alot of provolone pressed down in where it will fit usually barely any room at all, I usually have to take some mest off to givevto my dog and thats not a bad thing thats just do I can have somewhat of a chance to finish it at all which I stiil fall short of usually. I also always have to get an order of fries cuz for some reason no where else has the taste and I think its the lack of changing grease aswell as they are thicker cut so they should stay in longer to cook but since they dont the grease immedistely falls below 375f in temp & it leaves them with alittle grease on them, & just like the subs they dont skimp on yhrir fries either their large order is about 6" long container x 6" wide x 7" tall & even if u order tmtheir half order it comes in the same container just cost less but seams to have about the same amount of fries then their fry sauce is alittle morebon the mayonaise side thsn ketchup and gors slong perfect with their greasy fries and hesoing sub. When you get these items to go in a broen paper bag you can really tell where you got it cuz even though the fries are diuble wrapoed in wax paper you can see & feel the grease seapung out of the bag even the sandwich hss alittle grease. I highly recomend this place just if your more of a healthy eater then its a more if a once a month thing so it has time to settle or if ur weak stomached then make a call for a to go so you dont have to much exposure to the place. Philly cheese steaks are extremely close to the real thing here othrr than the liquid cheese theyve got the greasy part down aswell as the taste. Make this a destination stop on a weekend cuz you maybneed a nap afterwards. TOM

The food is good. They will not take anything off of a sandwich but will add things so you want to pay attention if your allergic to mushrooms or something. Combos dont exist except for the kids menu causing the overall experience to be a bit more expensive. While the Philly sandwich is stuffed and the bread was soft it really wasnt something to write home about. Ive had better phillies and paid less. The fries arent bad but tasted a bit like the fryer oil needed a change. One of the better places in Utah but I doubt its the best. The floor was dirty and the table was probably wiped gently with water alone (no cleaner). The wait for the food wasnt bad. No more than 10 minutes but I honestly wasnt watching the clock. Looks more like a guys place, definitely not a place for a first date. Hopefully the kitchen is cleaner than the dining area. The bathroom wasnt all that clean but we didnt see any bugs or cockroaches as others claim to have seen. While the food isnt bad, Im certainly in no hurry to go back. If your looking for a pretty decent Philly and got a $20 to drop and dont care if the dining area/table is clean then this is certainly the place to go. They do offer kids meals and have high chairs and youll want to bring a placemat If you bring a child since the tables really arent that clean and there was food on the floor. If you want to go by a rating such as the michelin star, its a 1 star restaurant with 2 star prices, although this isnt the type of place that earns a michelin star.

Its not pretty and the food is greasy, but thats what makes it SOOO delicious!! Ive NEVER found a better Philly sandwich in my life--not even in Philadelphia!! I always get the Philadelphian with everything minus mayo (that includes cheese, grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms, and then lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and little diced peppers that are SO good). I usually ask for a cup of au jus, too, because I like it even juicier and just love that stuff in general. The meat is always top quality and plentiful. Its gotten to where I wont even order a Philly sandwich anywhere else because I know nothing can live up to the Philadelphian so Im always disappointed. People are usually so skimpy on the meat and its usually tough and fatty at other places but not here. The fries are also cut fresh, thick, and are the bomb. I love this place!! Its a good thing I dont live closer or Id weigh a lot more. ;) Oh, and since its so good its usually crazy busy, especially around lunch time. I have their number in my phone so I can always call ahead whenever I get the craving and am willing to drive over. Definitely a recommendation since youll see many of the bad reviews are complaints about wait times. If you love a good, beefy Philly sandwich, you HAVE to give this place a try!! Just be prepared for a place that looks like a dirty guys hang out. Theyve been in business for a long time and are obviously passing health department inspections so thats good enough for me!

Best Philly cheesesteak Ive had in Utah! I debated what size of sandwich to get - they offer 4, 6, 8 or 12 inch subs. Dont be fooled, this is no corporate chain type of place. I settled for the 6-inch and was well-surprised by the generous amount of perfectly-spiced steak piled on my sub, mixed with sautéed onion and mushrooms and covered in melted cheese. I recommend the hot peppers - theyre a great addition, offer a little textured snap and didnt steal the show. The amount of meat on my 6-inch, probably rivals the amount other shops put on their 8 or 12 inch subs! Youve also gotta try their onion rings! They were welcomingly different than the rings youll find elsewhere! Most rings seem dipped in batter that can be too runny leaving much wanted once theyre out of the fryer. Other rings are too gritty from the disproportionate amount of cornmeal added to the batter. These onion rings here are more like donuts with an onion inside of them. The batter must be so much thicker than other places. The texture is nice and smooth. Ill definitely be coming back!

This is near 5 star territory. Its obvious you arent going to get a traditional cheesesteak here despite the name. The Philadelphian is how a Philadelphian would make a Chicago Italian beef using his local sensibilities. The peppers are really a sauce that;s a whole lot like giardiniera. Its a damn fine sandwich. I could see how large everything was, so I didnt get anything else. I can see myself coming back with friends to try additional items. Its a dive in a good way. Its big and good. Im a fan. Came in a second time with the wife and got to try some of the other fantastic looking fried food. Got the onion rings and fried mushrooms. They are really fresh. However, the batter was really thick and it didnt cook all the way through. You can see what we pulled off so we could get a decent breading to product ratio. They were both nice, but in the future Id stick to the sandwiches and skip the batter fried things. The sandwich was again excellent.
