I know Red Lobster has been at this location for many years now. I came here a couple times as a child. The building does not look worn down, rather it looks pretty good for its age. The door looks like its on the wrong side of the building because its on the back, but I guess it makes sense for the door to be on that side because the main parking lot is also on that side. When you walk in, the first thing you see is a hostess desk and a tank full of lobsters. The hostess at the counter will put you on a waiting list if you didnt call ahead. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table of five people. Once it was our turn, we were seated near the back. Our waiter, Andrea, was just delightful! She served us our waters right away and gave us time to think about our orders. When she came back, she answered any questions we had and even tried to explain a couple things using available pictures on the menu. She went above and beyond by making sure we ordered what we were describing. She took our menus and later came back to serve us our salads and such. While snacking on the salad and bread, our food was finally served. The food was delicious... at first. It was piping hot and the seafood was tender. The first few bites were scrumptious and I had no complaints! However, after each bite, I felt sicker and sicker. The food was so buttery to the point it was dripping in fat and oils. On top of that, they gave me a cup of some kind of buttery sauce to dip my seafood in; of course, I did not use that because I felt sick already eating the food without the extra butter. By the end of my meal, I felt like throwing up. (By the way, I ordered the Seaport Lobster and Shrimp). Overall, the atmosphere was somewhat classy and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked. The service was just extraordinary. The only thing I had a problem with was the food, which is the main point of a restaurant... I just hope one day the restaurant will decide to lighten up on the use of butter, but quite a bit of people enjoy their food this way. This is probably a personal complaint, but I just dont feel very healthy after a buttery meal like that even if it was cooked to perfection.

So Ive been here many times before. Its generally good experience (service is fair+, food is hot or at least warm, etc) However tonight was very disappointing. My girlfriend and I got their right around 9pm. After the dinner rush, but still 2 hours before they would close. When we got their, a lot of the employees were leaving, and the only girl up their wasnt the hostess and said "The hostess will be with you shortly" So there is a line. A server comes up and pulls this couple towards the back of the line (We are at the front) and takes them back. Maybe he knew them or something, but was an indicator that the two at the front of the line didnt mean a lot to their business. After about 5 minutes we got seated, so not that big of a deal. When we are seated the hostess is kind enough to get us some drinks. She said "Cody" will be with you shortly. I dont think anyone named "Cody" works their cause no one came. After 45 minutes of waiting, I put 6$ on the table (for the drinks) and we left. While this was beyond frustrating, Im still giving this review 3/5 stars, because I have had good experiences with this restaurant, but this was for sure bad enough to knock off two stars. I will still recommend going here, especially around shrimp season. However, take my advice, request that you NOT be seated at one of "Codys" tables. Otherwise I hope you are content with just drinks and two bisquits. You will get no food, appetizers, boxes, refills, check, nothing. Bring cash if you are big enough to still pay for your drinks rather then just walking out.

We made reservations and confirmed 2 times including the day before. No reservations we made. So of course it took about 20 minutes to get in our party of 18. Drinks, kids meal and 1 appetizer were brought out in a reasonable 15 minutes but thats when it went down hill. it took another 30 minutes for the the waitresses to refill our beverages about ~45 minutes into the visit. Kids were getting restless. We didnt see our waitresses for another 30 minutes. At that point we had been seated for and hour and 15 minutes. They brought out half the orders and the other half came 10 minutes later. My crab-fest meal was promising as the first crab leg was hot, but the rest were cold, just as my side dish of fries. The manager did give us 20% off our bill, which for 4 adults and 3 kids came to more than $20. But the wait and cold food was not worth the premium price. I wouldnt recommend going as a large group, I would not recommend the crab-fest dishes. From my understanding, all they do is rehydrate the food and microwave to heat the food up as most food comes in a precooked bag from a factory. I could be wrong, but the way my food tasted, it appears so.

We called ahead (about 6:00 p.m.) for a reservation for two and only waited 2 minutes to be seated. We were warmly greeted by our server. The coconut shrimp was delicious. We requested extra lemons which were promptly delivered. The chowder and biscuits were excellent and consistently delectable. Extra saltine crackers were requested and brought with a smile. Drinks were refilled in a timely manner even though the Murray store is busy during Crab Fest. The King Crab was sweet and the Snow Crab was good although a little difficult to eat (which is par for cracking open crab shells). Our server courteously offered to have a staff member help us open the Snow Crab shells which we didnt need, but was thoughtful considering the busy schedule of the evening. The Apple Crisp with ice cream was an excellent way to finish a nice meal. Our server checked with us frequently to make certain our food was prepared to our liking and we had an enjoyable experience. The food has been consistently good and reasonably priced-(compared to Market Street Grill which is excellent but more expensive) and service has always been great.
