I had been looking for a new local place to get Chinese food since I decided to boycott Panda Express after years of HORRIBLE service from every location I went to! I love their food, but its not worth the bad service! I had been trying places from time to time around the local area and found them all to be kind of "meh" and thought maybe I would just have to have just okay Chinese food from now on, when I noticed this little place off of Hillfield and decided to give it a try! So glad I did!!! I can only rate what I have tried so far, but I would guess the rest of their food is just as yummy! I got the lunch special Teriyaki fried chicken and subbed lo mein for fried rice, you also get soup, and a fried wonton with it. If you go with the rice option, it is cheaper than Panda Express, if you sub the lo mein like I did, it is apx the same as their "plate" option. Everything I got was just as good, if not better than Panda Express! You get more food for less then PE for apx the same price, plus the soup and wonton, which PE would charge you extra for! The staff are friendly, good at their jobs, and the service is FASTER than I have ever gotten in and out of PE (esp the drive through)! China Fortune also has their own drive through, so if you know what you want or have called ahead and are picking up an order, you dont even have to go in! I really like this place and I am so happy to have found a wonderful Chinese restaurant that I can go to again, and Id much rather give my money to a local business that treats me well, then some corporation that doesnt see me as a person, just a dollar sign and doesnt care about providing good customer service because they are so large they can stand to loose a customer here and there and not suffer any major losses. If youre like me and wanting to find an alternative to the corporate guys and support a great local restaurant, give them a try! In closing I also want to add they have the GOOD chopsticks you dont have break apart and always split unevenly! They have the nice ones that are two separate sticks! Their fortune cookies are also the old school ones with REAL fortunes not just generic quotes like, "You are humble and wise", its an actual fortune! All in all, just a great local business!

I have been ordering delivery, from these guys for nearly a year now, and I cant get enough, great food and great service, I have had one bad experience with delivery and it was when their regular guy wasnt working so Im not gonna hold that against them, great prices worth it Everytime. Cheese wontons and their sweet n sour chicken are to die for. Update* a year later and they are still just as amazing as ever! Their delivery guy knows me by name at this point! Haha. So I moved to a different address and had them deliver to see if he would recognize me in a different home and of course he did!! I love it! Outstanding customer service!!!! I call in and they know my voice and already know what I want! Even if the food wasnt that great(which isnt the case)I would still order food here because of their amazing service! Thank you!

I ordered the Szechuan chicken combo lunch for a total of $11 including a15% tip. The restaurant was clean, service was friendly and fast and I enjoyed the food. The soup was served warm and was OK. It only contained thin wisps of egg. I added soy sauce to make it enjoyable. The main course was served hot with massive amounts of ham fried rice. The Szechuan flavoring was different than I was used to but still Ok. It was spicier than mild but not quite medium spicy. The most memorable part of the meal was the crab cheese wontons. These were absolutely fantastic. I also really enjoyed their sweet and sour sauce. I will come back and try another dish.

Ive been coming to China Fortune since it opened. Since I left New York, Ive been searching for good Chinese Food. Most places just dont reach the level of food Im used to. China Fortune comes the closest in Layton. I try every new restaurant that opens up in the area, but I keep coming back to China Fortune. The people are nice and try very hard to please me as a customer. I even have asked for special orders and theyve done just to make me happy. Are they the same quality that I left behind in New York? No, but they arent far from it either. Now that I am thinking about it, I feel like getting some of their wonderful food right now!

Service for delivery was very fast, but the food was very poor quality. They need to consider taking more time to cook quality food. I ordered the szechuan chicken, which is supposed to be spicy, but it tastes like sweet barbecue chicken. The chicken tasted like it had been microwaved. I also ordered the walnut shrimp and received six popcorn chicken sized pieces with one walnut. The food just isnt all it was made out to be. The delivery boy was also very awkward and kind of rude, demanding we pay cash even though we paid with a card. This place needs some cleaning up for sure.

This is the Worst Chinese Restaurant in Layton. There food is HORRIBLE, Their phone manners are HORRIBLE. We order food for delivery and they told us one price and charged our credit without our permission for 10.00 more because of a mistake they made... When we called back to find out why this extra was charged to our credit care, they were very nasty to my wife and told her if she didnt like it send it back.. REALLY? Thats how you resolve an issue? I am going to tell everyone I know Not to Eat at China Fortune.. Utahs Worst!

The friendly service cannot make up for the fact that the food was sub-par, unfortunately. The General Tsos Chicken I ordered had an almost overwhelming bell pepper taste to it, and the sushi roll was a bit on the bland side, with a side of crusty wasabi and dry ginger to boot. At least they kept my water filled. Four star service, but two star-tasting food. Three stars from my visit. May try again, but Ill be sure to stay away from their sushi and General Tsos anything next time.

I always loved takeout/delivery from here and had my first sit-down experience yesterday. It was PHENOMENAL. Im always blown away by how fast the food comes out and its always top-notch. Do yourself a favor and get their Jr Orange Chicken special for $4 during lunch hours as you get more food for less $$$ than ANYWHERE ELSE EVER. Ive had several chinese food places that Ive really liked but this one has become my #1 favorite.

We ordered sweet and sour chicken with ham fried rice, general Tso chicken with chicken fried rice, chicken teriyaki sticks and fried donuts. The sweet and sour chicken was ok, but the ham fried rice wasnt ham it was hotdog. I am pretty sure the general Tso chicken and chicken teriyaki wasnt chicken at all. Maybe rabbit? The fried rice in general was plain and dry. Probably old. We will not be ordering from here again.
