First of all, I want to express that my wife and I love Twisted Root. We can honestly say that your burgers are some of the best weve had. Weve been to multiple locations in the DFW area and have never been disappointed in both service and quality. Having said that, we visited my sister and her family in Tyler on 01/28 and raved about Twisted Root. We highly recommended it and went there for dinner. We placed our order at 8:14 pm and didnt get our food until 9 pm. When I approached the prep girls to discuss our wait, they proceeded to say that thats how all Twisted Root locations operate. When I said thats completely false (b/c Ive been to multiple locations), they said thats how long it takes when the line is out the door. The line was only about 8-10 people long, nowhere near the door. I told them Ive been to the Deep Ellum location at their busiest and have never waited longer than 30 min. I asked to speak to a manager and his response was worse. I think his name is Cam. He preceded to tell me "that is just the way it is". He began to argue with me, called me a liar and never said anything close to an apology. When I expressed to him that many reviews on Google and Yelp complained about long wait times and rude customer service, he said, "I dont care about Yelp or Google". He then made me wait 10 min to give me upper managements number. Im very disappointed with this experience. The meat was over cooked, the bread dry and falling apart due to it sitting for so long after it was warmed up and worst of all, the service was terrible. Unfortunately I feel the rest of the crew have been influenced by the negativity and bad attitude of their manager. We will continue to be patrons on this great chain, but Im sure my sister and her family wont. As a Sales Rep I know that this is unfortunate, as every customer counts.

This was me and my bfs first time here and it was really fun. Definitely not what I expected, the outside gives it a country vibe but once you walk in its a whole different situation. Its so cute how they give us celebrity names instead of numbers. The owner really knew what he was doing because the vibes of the whole place made me remember of later years from the 90s to the 70s. I liked the restroom posters too (or wallpaper) it had old movies like King Kong, Titanic and E.T. Down to the most important thing which is the burgers themselves and they are so delicious, my favorite burger spot used to be CarlsJr but they got rid of the diablo burger and Im glad I found this place because it is now my favorite. The burgers are thick and juicy, the bun is so soft, and theres plenty of other things you can add to it. Not to mention that they also cater to vegetarians with a veggie burger and veggie chips....its nice to show love for everyone. :) Its just no other way to explain how amazing this place was because I NEVER bother to write reviews. Please try this place out especially if you plan on going in a group of friends or just family. P.S ....There was a picture of Ice-T (the rapper) with a serious face on the unsweetened tea it was so funny!

The food was good, even though, my burger was not well done liked I asked for. I love the set up of it all, however, customer service was awful. This was my first time there. When I walked in, an older gentleman was wiping the tables and just stared at me. So I go in and watch the other customers to see what to do. I then sit down and wait for my food, and I watched the same gentleman interact with customers. He was asking did they need anything and not once said anything to me. What made me decide not to dine here again was 1. Two ladies came and sat behind me and again he bypassed me and asked them if they needed anything. 2. I was watching him go to the door, as people were walking out, and was telling them to have a good day and to be careful. Just so happened, I walked out behind an older couple and he continued to hold the door. I said thank you. As I was walking out another customer was walking in, and he turned to him and said come in, not acknowledging me at all. I dont care how good the food is, if customer service is not good, you loose my business!!!

My wife, my father and I went today for our first time! We were created immediately upon approaching the menus and told if we needed help or anything explained theyd be Happy to help. I had the Wagyu burger and that was the absolute best hamburger Ive eaten to date! Our 3 full size burgers were cooked exactly how we asked and ready within 15 min tops, exactly how wed ordered them! As far as the price goes we all 3 had fries, I had cheesy fries, burgers, drinks and my father a beer all for 38$! Not to shabby for the quality! We will not only be going back but recommending this place to every person we know! The owner even took it upon himself to come personally ask us how our food was. He and my father talked and cut up at the counter while discussing some of the history of the place for white some time as well. Super fun and funky 80s style atmosphere! Recommend it to anyone! 10* if they had that option!

How many ways can I say no. No. Ive been here 3 times now bc I cant come to terms with how bad the food is. Do not give this place the benefit of the doubt, its not having an off day, you didnt "just order the wrong thing" ... yes it is over priced, yes the meat is over cooked and rubbery... yes the fries are tasteless and soggy... yes you will pay 15$ for burger fry and drink. Yes you will leave confused and dissatisfied. Sick even. Listen, advertising that you grind ur meat fresh.. never frozen doesnt mean its quality. You could get a terrible cut of meat... but its "fresh" fresh but tastes old. Maybe you SHOULD freeze yalls meat. Huge open vats of pickles left uncovered? Not a health code violation? Im still confused. Anyway thanks for listening. Nice employees. Awful... terrible... repulsive food. Its a no from me dawg.

Horrible experience!! First of all our meat was over cooked, you can tell they dont know what they are doing in the kitchen ! It then Took over 40 minutes to get our food and when We approached to complain the workers started arguing with us and then the manager named "Cam " came and started arguing with my brother who was in town visiting and up front called him a liar and he kept arguing with him for 10 mint!! My brother said have you seen your reviews on yelp and he said I really dont care about yelp!!! Thats the kind of manager this guy is. He Never apologized and was the rudest manager I have ever seen!! We then asked him for coorporates number and he didnt want to give it to him . Then as he took forever to supposedly get the number , he kept arguing with my brother!! Honestly The worst service ever!!
