Worse service EVER. In my life I was treated so bad. I used to love going to atsumi but after today I will never go back. From the moment me and my friends got sitted the waitresses did not even know their assigned tables. Latter once they figured out their tables out, the waitress just asked one of my friends her drink order and decided that was what everyone in the table wanted to order as well without asking. Then we were rush to order and our food took too long. The people that was sitter after us got their food first. We never got drink refills. Our food came out first before our appetizers. The waitress put the wrong orders in the tickets and I was told to pay my friend for my order instead of taking the ticket back and correcting it. It took several request for out tickets to be correct. We asked for a manager she was hidding in the kitchen and never came out to talk to us about our problem. This was the worse experience I have ever had in a restaurant. If you want to feel humiliated by their waitressing staff please be my guess and go to atsumi.

1) When we placed our order, we were told the delivery would be 1-1/2 hours. 2) When I received my delivery, I was charged for an 8 oz. sauce, and received a 1 oz. sauce, which the hostess said the sauce comes with the meal. So, WE WERE LIED TO ABOUT THE ITEMS ON THE MENU. 3) I called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager, to which I was given to Austin. Austin looked us up in the restaurant database and said our history is only $500.00 and that he could give me a credit on my next purchase or they could deliver the paid for sauce, but that would be the 1-1/2 hour delivery time. I asked to speak with the owner, and Austin said he was the owner. The website reads that Chef Henry Zhu is the owner So, WE WERE LIED TO ABOUT AUSTIN BEING THE OWNER. The food is okay, but the service is run by under-achieving, bored adolescents who seem like they dont need to work, therefore do not care about their actions towards others.

I had to change my 5 star review to a 1 star. The new "manager" was definitely drunk. She was spanking our waiter and running around screaming she tried to put a sushi roll down on our table and I had to take it from her because she was closing her eyes in fear she was going to drop it on us. Then she almost knocked another roll out of our waiters hand and yelled at him for it! She was sitting at a table with a lady who walked in when we left talking her ear off. The things that came out of her mouth!! She was talking about dog boners to one customer.. I saw her wobbling to the restroom with her purse, Im guessing thats where she hides her bottle. She is going to run off all of your repeat customers like us! We will give it a few months and try again because we like the food... definitely wont be coming 2x a week anymore

My family and I just returned from eating there and I have to say the experience was VERY disappointing. My daughter found a piece of metal about an inch long that looked like it came from a stainless steal scrubbing brush in her food. I politely complained about it and they just told me that it was the first time it had ever happened and that they would only take off 50% off her meal (only her meal). WOW! If I were the restaurant own/manager, I would be so embarrassed that I would have given the entire dinner for free. Especially to avoid a review like this one. To say the least, we will not be returning. And for those of you who do decide to go, please be careful!

A very regular client but wont be going there again. Ordered food for pick-up at 7:00pm and at 7:45pm food was not ready. You dont know what happened to our order but have guts to take the payment. Then my husband was told food is not ready. When I called to ask why was food not ready after 45 min thats when they investigated and it turned out delivery guy took it. Without food in our hand they even took the payment. Good going. after an hour we had no food and still paid for something that they attempted to make which was wrong and they eventually reimbursed our money. Poor customer service and no compensation and hungry crying kids!

Just tried the new place in Cypress. They were out of one thing we wanted, forgot to include the rice in our take-out order, tempura was soggy and mostly batter, not the worse tempura weve had but definitely not the best, clearly not made on-site because the shrimp had a different batter than the veggies and neither one was very good, although the shrimp batter was seriously not good -- think it was made of cornmeal, which is not remotely authentic -- spare ribs were dried out, everything was on the greasy side, and just didnt seem fresh and flavorful. Very disappointed as we keep looking for a great Japanese place.

Great selection. Lunch special has a better price than other Chinese, and you get a great portion. Edit:. I see other reviews had a poor experience a month ago, we just went yesterday 9/4/17 and had our usual great experience. Greeted with smiles, seated immediately, tended to, served quickly, and all with smiles. Waitress even offered me extra dips I hadnt tried before, and were actually quite nice to try. We too have been coming periodically for years, always good results, even now. Im not affiliated with them in any way, I just think their food is really good. Try the crispy orange beef, its amazing!

I dont know about the dine in.....but the delivery was horrible. At first I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my order arrived. Then I took a bite. The dipping sauce that came with the spring rolls tasted of nearly pure vinegar. The BBQ short ribs tasted as if they had been sitting under a warming lamp since lunch.....yesterday. The seseme jumbo shrimp was covered in no less than a half inch of soggy breading - soggy with burned sauce. Im convinced I was sold leftovers from their lunch service. I called this order in at 6pm by the way. Peak dinner hour. I will NEVER order from this place again.

Waitress was horrible and openly hostile to us.It took 15 mins and a public argument with another waitress about whether or not we were at her table, for her to actually attend us. After that she only asked one person at our table of four what they wanted to drink. Then was slow with delivering our drinks and food. She messed up our checks and refused to correct them, until the other waitress got involved. She then yelled at us, after we told her and the other waitress how bad the service was. The management never came out to apologize for this service and we will not be back. The food was ok.

I read many reviews on this place, most of them good, in addition to beccaon4chans review, and had to agree. The same large man was managing the restaurant, and couldnt remember the correct drinks. He didnt know what the entrees were when he delivered them to our table. He was also sweating a lot, and it got worse as the hour went on. And he was only waiting on our table of four and another table of two as we were the only ones in the restaurant. On top of that, the food wasnt great either. Not bad, but definately not great, and I will never go back.
