I took my bride to Terrell Steak & Grill for a great steak because, I read the reviews on my Google phone that gave it a 4.5 Star rating. The place is quaint and an old Texas atmosphere which is okay with us if the food is good. The hostess had a great smile and welcomed us. Our server, BRAD, didnt say welcome, didnt ask if this was our first time here or any other cordial greetings. He just took our order. We went to this restaurant because we wanted someplace different on our 14th wedding anniversary. We were so happy and upbeat wanting a great evening. Our evening dinner turned out to be a disaster at this restaurant. My wifes salad and mine had wilted leaves of lettuce and almost ripe tomatoes. My wife had to set aside about 1/3 or her salad. When BRAD pick up her plate, he asked, "Whats the matter with your salad and my wife told him it was brown and he got angry with her and said well, I’m color blind...and basically called her a liar. My jaws got tight but didnt say anything. We ordered the $19.00, 10 oz. Ribeye steaks, medium and they came out medium well because they were cut so thin its hard to get a good grill on that thin of a steak. My wifes steak was very lean and my steak had almost half fat on it. When BRAD came to pick up my plate he saw I had left the fat all together and he said was there something wrong with your steak? I said yes, its really hard to justify paying $19 for half a steak. He said, you know Ribeyes have fat on them. BRAD was so argumentative, again my jaws got tight and I said, just take the plate away. BRAD brought the bill and after he left, I asked the hostess to bring me the manager. Guess who came out, BRAD. I said, youre the manager? Youve got to be kidding me??? BRAD said, yes and went on to say that we had a bad attitude ever since we came in. (I asked the hostess to take a picture of us right after we got our drinks...thats how bad our attitude was...tongue and cheek.) BRAD said, Ill take half the meal off your bill. I said, Ill give you $10 for the steak. BRAD did bring back another bill with half the price of the meals taken off. Needless to say, this is the rudest person I have dealt with in over 30 plus years. Last time I had a rude server 30 plus years ago, I left 2 cents to make a point. Yesterday evening 4-12-17, I left nothing for BRAD. We will NEVER go back to this horrible restaurant. Service "horrible" Food "below average" Atmosphere "Okay if you like old Texas style." Dont go...save yourself $60.

This was my first time at this restaurant, but it wont be my last. I live in Arlington and it will definitely be worth the trip to eat here again. I had the special - 6 oz top sirloin with a baked potato and their unbelievable pinto beans. The spices on the steak were wonderful and so was the steak - cooked to perfection. The potato was outstanding, topped off with hand-shredded cheese! And the pinto beans - there arent enough words. Ive eaten pinto beans all of my life. Thats what you do in the South!! But these were outstanding. They add their own spices and it makes them just come alive!! Cant wait for my next meal there. I have to mention that my SIL had the chicken fried steak and it was HUGE! She said it was also worth a trip back!

This is a local place but it is charming in its own retro kind of way. It reminds of many places I ate at with my parents and their friends while growing up. My friend and I stopped on the way back to Alabama for a great lunch. I had the fried shrimp and he had a hamburger. Both were well cooked with sizable portions. My shrimp were crisply fried without being oily and the baked potato was spot on. His hamburger was cooked to his preference and came with crinkle cut fries. All of the staff was helpful and friendly.

We had dinner here this evening. 3 had the ribeye, i had chicken fried steak. Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious. Staff is very friendly and efficient . We come down from Lawrence Kansas once or twice a year for First Mondays and stay in Terrell. This is the first time we have tried this restaurant, and we will be repeat customers. Extremely satisfied , and stuffed to the gills!!!

This place was awesome! I had the grilled chicken salad. They make their own homemade ranch and it hit the spot. Their grilled chicken was marinated perfectly. My mom had the chicken fried steak- AMAZING, and my kids split a sausage platter. Great prices and the staff was very nice. We will visit this place, again, and I will bring more people next time!

Was hoping for a good place, sent one steak back twice. They did not understand medium rare. Computers were down so the waitress had to manually add our ticket which was wrong then she couldnt calculate the tax. It was our first visit and probably our last.

Steaks are very natural very little additional spice added. A little pricy but not bad. Service was curtious but not overly attentive. Went while driving through, would not make a special trip to go back. But if in area might try again.

Manager not friendly. Waiter snatched tip off the table before I could move my hand away. On a good note. The chicken was great. Potatoes were cold

The interior could seriously use some redecorating and be spruced up a lot, but the food was good. It was just an offer atmosphere.
