I ordered a cake weeks in advance for my Moms 60th birthday. The girl taking the order seemed unsure so I asked her to have someone review it because it was so important to me. I emailed a picture as an example. I paid over $200 for this cake. The ruffles on the bottom of the cake look extremely rushed and uneven. And the colors were obviously different. I contacted the owner to express my disappointment and was told tough luck since I took the cake. Is she serious? The party was that night-what was I supposed to do? Then, at the party imagine my confusion when someone commented about the almond extract tasting icing. I specifically ordered buttercream (as Ive done for 8+ years)! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL NOT RETURN! Update to response from owner: I emailed you before my guests had eaten the cake. The party began at 6:30pm. Our email exchange began at 4:20pm. My husband did not tell you what I specifically replied to him which was the ruffles are messed up and those arent the right colors because we didnt know what was going to be done to fix it other than completely redo the decorations. Not to mention the time it would take to redo the cake was not something we had the luxury of. In this instance what is someone to do-not accept a cake that is incorrect and risk having nothing? Nevermind that I had prepaid for it. The almond extract flavor has never been something I have received from your bakery. Had I known that was an option I would have made sure to NOT order it. You need to notify your customers about that. I did not ask for a full refund. I asked for a refund for my upgraded art fee since I did not receive what was asked for.

I have to give 2 stars only because employees are sweet and very attentive. Unlike employees the owner is rude and has poor customer service. I had ordered a cake a week in advance for my sons 6th birthday, when picking it up what I had asked for was not what was done. The icing on my cake was different, I told the young man at the desk that it wasnt the right and he agreed with me. When going back and speaking to the "owner" she came out rolling her eyes and making a comment that "she doesnt know what the big deal is" not realizing that I could see and hear her. When seeing that I was ready to leave with the cake as is but Chris asked me to say and that she (the owner) would fix it. Cake turned out good but not one time did the owner come out and say anything to me. Chris was a huge help, even carried out the cake for me and apologized several times. Shame on you Rj goodies owners

Human beings are all in the same, and if you spend some time looking, youll see. This is in Klein/Spring/Cypress, Texas. Its nothing new how these townie employees treat people that dont look like a desperate housewife in her 50s or a Brett Favre/George Bush, so if you the customer dont want to dress up nice to catch their eye (just to get respect) than wait till an employee will actually help you...you might have to wait a bit, but trust me! Watch how these young girls approach obviously rich housewives and then a minority, or even a shabby dressed male. Its not just the employees, the employers only are reflecting their own realities when hiring :-/ HOWEVER, best buttercream cakes!!!

I am never going back to this place. I was looking for a place to do a wedding cake. The owner waited on me- shoved a photo album at me. When I asked if they did square cakes, she asked me if I saw any in the book? Which I suppose was her way of saying I was stupid. When I asked about timing, she told me she didnt have time to talk about it and to give her a call two weeks before the wedding. WHAT!? I am no wedding professional but I knew that was wrong wrong. She was incredibly rude. Her staff wasnt much better and I ended up getting my cake at Cravings of Texas. MUCH better deal! RJ Goodies, you better get it together.

I have gone to this place several times. The food and bakery items are delicious; the service is excellent; but some policies I dont like. If you order a piece of pie, you have to order what they have cut, (three choices) even though they have others, they want to sell them whole. They dont have separate checks, however you can go to the counter and pay separately . Well most of us payed our full bill, but someone did not pay for a cup of soup. The last person who payed was told that there was a problem and someone had to pay for the soup. Someone did, but I can assure you that none of us (7) will visit RJG again.

RJ Goodies has done more than a few cakes for my family. Everytime we have a baptism, birthday, baby or wedding shower, we call RJs. Their cake is wonderful and they have many different varieties. However, the best part is that they will ice the cake in any pattern you like. For example, if you have an invitation for a wedding shower and you want the cake to match it, they will decorate the cake like the invitation. It is fabulous and very personal. The shop is still small enough to have that down-home, friendly atmosphere, which is a huge plus in any situation. Kudos to RJs!

Just last Friday I purchased a cake from RJ Goodies on a referral from a friend. It looked beautiful but when we cut the cake the raspberries were SO TART it made the cake inedible. When I called to let them know they asked me if I had any of the cake left! No... when no one ate it, we threw it away!! So the owner (lorie) said, "Im just not sure what you want me to do.. I mean, a raspberry is a rasberry..." What does that mean?? I will not be re-visiting RJ Goodies any time soon... The owner was rude and she didnt care in the least that I was not satisifed.

My husband and I live in California now after living over 25 years in the Spring/Klein area. Weve used RJ Goodies for cakes, cupcakes and cookies for all occasions in our family. Our youngest son is graduating from the University of Texas and we are ordering his cake from there and having a friend bring it to us in Austin. The staff is super courteous and helpful and even offered to box it so that it would not shift in the car on the trip. Amazing people, food and service. Try their iced sugar cookies too . . . the BEST!

Went in and the line was out the door. I waited in line patiently for fifteen minutes and when I tried to place an order for some cookies was told they only had what was on display which was next to nothing. I asked if they could make more and was politely told no. I will never come here again, what kind of bakery wont bake something when u want to place an order? I guess these idiots only allow you to purchase what they might have already baked on display. Very disappointed I heard such good things.
