Super disappointing experience. Family of 4 signed in on a busy Sat morning. I stayed inside waiting for our table to become available while my husband and 2 sons went outside because there is very limited room for people to wait inside. After waiting for a good amount of time I finally saw them cleaning a booth that could fit 4 people. Just then 2 women walked in the restaurant and one of the employees took them directly to a table for 2. The ladies requested the booth and he moved them right to the booth. I called him over and said my family has been here waiting and those ladies just walked right in and you sat them in front of us. He said to me I didnt think you whole party was here. Why would you think that? You didnt even ask me? Clearly they need a better wait system. And the manager (owner?) let me walk out without even trying to intervene or apologize. I remember going to this place years ago with my own parents and liked the food but it seems they are too cool to worry with customer service. We wont go back.

The WORST customer service. I recently went in to the N. New Braunfels location, stood at the counter to purchase some baked goods to-go, while the owner was walking around doing random stuff and another employee had her back turned towards me. It literally took about 4 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and take my order. I decided to go back (since they do something good--make tasty muffins and cookies), and the owner was talking to what I assume was a "regular" customer about some random personal b.s. while I waited about 5 minutes for her to be done and help me. Every time Ive been in to eat, the servers seem miserable and disconnected. Obviously, I see a trend. Their food is alright, but there are several other similar options in the area that have better service.

There was a short wait since it was a peak hour for them, but they handle it well. I ordered the scrambled eggs meal, 1 pancake and green tea. I was surprised to see that delicious fresh fruit came with it. The meal was typical food, but that PANCAKE was HUGE!! I couldnt finish it all. Service was efficient and I was in and out of there quickly. This place has become my favorite weekend morning spot. The menu on the board is where the hidden favs are. My must haves are the Carne guisada and the cinnamon roll pancake, but dont expect it during the week. Ive had supper here twice and both times the food was delicious. They also have a cold brewed coffee ale and various hot teas.

The food was decent but the service was really disappointing. Theres a sign that says seat yourself, so I sat myself at an open table that would fit my party of 7. They seemed put out that I took the table and tried to move me before realizing it was the only table big enough for us. They did kindly offer to serve breakfast to us beyond normal time, but I could see the wait staff making faces and gestures about what was going on with our table while we waited for the rest of our party who was lost. Its a cute place for a meal but theres better especially to feel so unwelcome.

This is a great lunch spot thats busy but efficient with a generally healthy menu that has something for everyone. The bread is always fresh, making the sandwiches a personal favorite, and the salads are well-portioned and interesting. With friendly and attentive service and the walls adorned with local art, its a relaxing cafe for meeting friends or holding business meetings. Its also close enough to everything in town to make it an easy place to meet.

I love Twin Sisters! It has a quirky, artsy, hip feel that is rare in San Antonio. The tortilla soup with cornbread is fantastic, but I recommend trying the daily lunch specials, scrawled on the chalkboard. The Migas and Huevos Rancheros are great for breakfast, too. The atmosphere is usually pleasant and bustling--booths or tables available.

1st time here. This review doesnt include my thoughtd or feelings about the staff. Just arrived as the lunch rush was ending so it was loud at first but as people left the music and ambience of this quirky little spot became more enjoyable. I liked my cappuccino and quiche. Will be eating here again. G-d bless

My waitress rocked! Desiree was her name I think. Not so many options for me being a gluten free, organic person. But their crescent was really tasty altho not healthy. I recommend if you dont have health restrictions but not the best if you are looking for specific health options. Cool atmosphere.

I love this place! The atmosphere is intimate and quirky. The food is all natural and delicious. You must try the whole wheat pancakes with blueberries. Service is excellent. Be prepared to wait outside on Saturday and Sunday mornings, its very popular. Its good for those of us that live in the area.

This is neither a bakery nor a cafe (no baked goods are available, nor was fresh coffee). It appears to be a sandwich shop staffed by surly old women. The place was empty when we arrived, and we left ASAP. Points for interesting decor, but I wouldnt bother with it if you have other options.

Decent food, but way overpriced considering the mediocrity I think bakery should be taken out of the name or at least put it second....kinda seems like an identity crises. Great atmosphere and nice staff, but just an overall disappointing experience after so many greats ones while in SA.

Service was nonexistent. Chips that came with sandwich were stale and tasteless. Parmesan cheese bread on turkey sandwich was too thick and too dry to eat. When the $1.69 soft drink I ordered arrived as a 12 ounce can of drink, I sent it back and drank water! Will not go back.

Health and vegetarian food options abound. The food is very good and consistent. Reminds me of funky breakfast places that have nourished me elsewhere, but are not common in South Texas. The mimosas are good here. They have live music on Friday nights.

REDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. But if you live in "The Heights", in any city, that has a caveat. The service was slow. My food was cold. Limited baked goods. Clean, neat and superficially trendy. Bout all I can say for the second star.

The waiters were rude and the food was extremely overpriced. The restaurant itself was really cute but other than that the food wasnt that great. Also, not many vegan options like mentioned. Dont waste your time or money.

Great specials like the black bean and sweet potato quesadilla. A few celiac and vegan friendly options--I order the vegan sandwich on gluten-free bread to go and it is always ready within 5-10 minutes.

Decent food. Terrible service. Servers are rude and seem generally annoyed to be there. Have been numerous times to give it another chance, but Ive been consistently put off by their attitudes.

Wow! The food is gourmet level, with unstoppably delicious bakery items - peach cobbler, muffins, etc. Really groovy ambience, especially if you did The Beatles. And fantastic staff! Fly!

Best breakfast we have had in San Antonio. Gluten free bread with warm butter and warm salsa for the eggs! Excellent coffee! Great server. Good prices...moderate. Cozy local spot.
