Had the key lime voltage with custard base in a waffle cone. Ice cream was very good, the process was interesting and generated several ohh and ahhs from people in line. Decent amount of customers but the staff handled them fairly quickly. The reason I gave them three stars instead of more is they need more staff (only two employees and they had to stop making product to run over and cash customers out then run back and get back into production only to find out they were missing something or didnt know where they were at in the process)and the staff they have needs some training on common courtesy. I was polite and loud enough to be heard but while placing my order one staff member was flippant and seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but there. The other staff member was even more detached, I thanked her for my order... she looked up, said nothing then continued making the persons order behind me. Not a word. Maybe just a bad day but it was my first and probably last time to visit this chain. The nitrogen gimmick isnt enough to drive across town and deal with attitude.

EDIT**** Ive been here several times now and my biggest problem is the fact that the place is understaffed and it takes forever to get through the line. ***EDIT**** I Went here at 9:30 pm and there was a long line that barely moved. We are a fast food society and some people were leaving due to the wait. The girls were mixing it fast as they could but maybe they need a 4th mixing/freezing station and someone that stays on the cash register when they are busy. This is the best ice cream Ive had. They add the ingredients all fresh and then freeze it with nitrogen or something. I had cake batter flavor and I had two mix-ins. Cookie dough pieces and brownie pieces. This is an awesome experience and you will get your moneys worth

The guy who helped us was very very rude. I was with someone who had never been here before and we looked at all the flavors for maybe 30 seconds before he rushed us, then we asked for two flavors and he put one flavor and a mix in with the same name and when we said that we meant the flavor not the mix in he was very rude about it and passive aggressively put the bowl to the side. This place is pricey as is but I like the ice cream enough to pay for it. After this, I will not be returning and tell all the connections I have not to come here.

Went to Sub Zero after seeing this company on the Sharktank television show. Staff was ok, there was a good wait just due to the process and time needed to make the ice cream. The ice cream it self was not impressive at all. It tasted like store bought generic. Was way too expensive for the quality of ice cream. For the price of one small ice cream you can buy a quart at HEB of generic ice cream and taste the same. I could see taking kids once just to see it made but definitely not worth it other the watching it freeze.

Plenty of flavors and fun ways to combine them. However, this does take a while, since each order is created basically from scratch. That means that a line to the door could very well take you 30+ minutes of standing in line. The ice cream is good, but I think a good amount of the appeal is the novelty of it. Be aware that the lower the fat in the base of your ice cream (custard, whole milk, 2%, nonfat, skim, soy milk), the more crumbly it will be. The low-fat options are hardly creamy at all.

Did not have a great experience. The 2 working on 1/23/16 was poorly trained and moved very slow. My basic ice cream with chocolate fudge was horrible and my best friend milk shake was runny. We overheard the young girl working say "oh this doesnt look right!" As shes making the lady drink who was behind us. The guy was really rude by asking me what time it was as he poorly made my ice cream in an untimely manner. I would recommend stone cold creamery ! What a waste of $18!

This is by far the best and richest tasting ice cream in all of San Antonio. You can add an obscene amount of flavors and it would still come out perfect. The atmosphere is nice and the experience is cool; they make your ice cream in front of you. If you know someone who is lactose intolerant, let them know about this place, they serve the same amazing ice cream lactose free!

My family and I stopped in to grab some ice cream this afternoon. Ill agree with the other reviews - its delicious, but it does take quite a while to get through the line. Let me be clear - its worth it. The ice cream is good, the toppings are good, and the experience - making ice cream from scratch, in seconds, is fun for everyone. I look forward to going back soon.

Frozen yogurt, ice cream, custard, even frozen almond milk... Whatever you desire! Gluten free options vegan options low fat and high fat options... Pick your own mixings and watch them blast your creation with nitrogen to make ice cream. It is tasty, geeky, and fun all rolled into one little dessert place.

We finally got to try this place today and loved it! Both my boys loved getting to pick out their flavor and mix-in and then couldnt get over the "smoke" coming out of the mix while it was being made. I think I might have them cater one of our birthday parties. Definitely gonna be a regular stop for us!

Its now 11:27 am and this place still isnt open, although their sign says they open at 11 am. The girl inside came out at 11:05 (after we knocked) and said quite unapologetic, that they would not be open for another 20 minutes. No urgency what so ever. Ugh!!! These soccer girls want their ice cream!!

The Ice Cream and the experience was awesome! But the staff was not. They were very quiet and when asked a question they looked annoyed. There was only 2 people working and the line was long. Would LOVE this place if they had friendlier staff and maybe another person helping out.

Ice cream was good;) Italian ice burnt our tounges bad and it was super sweet 2 the point we couldnt eat it. The staff was unfriendly and they looked miserable except for one of the three young ladies. Dont think Ill be going back.

Ice cream made right in front of you using liquid nitrogen! So cool! You pick your own ingredients starting with the type of cream base, all the way to the flavors and toppings. A little over priced, but a fun experience

Sub zero was an amazing experience and the service was fantastic. As soon as I came in I was greeted by the smile from the employees. I would defiantly recommend going here and look forward for my next visit.

First time here, awesome experience and ice cream! I applaud Mary Grace, I think, as she assisted a super long line of 15! We waited in line, other workers passed her by to leave her work hard alone
