I love african food, so when accidentally found this place, was very excited to try it. We went there for a dinner and ordered egusi soup with goat meat and fufu, jolllof rice with goat meat and fried plantain, beef suya. The food was amazing!! My egusi soup was best I ever tried. The food was good spicy and had rich taste (this is the way African food should be). I really enjoyed my food. Portions are huge in here, 2 people can easily fill they bellies from one plate. And knowing the amount of food you getting, the pricing is not too high in here. We literally had to get boxes to go because couldnt deal with the amount of food weve got. Plus they give you one bottle of water for free with your entree. Place is not very big, but quite cozy. They have 2 TVs and play some nice African music. Client service is very good. I will definitely come back here again. I would definitely recommend this for people who want to try African (Nigerian) cuisine.

This is a fabulous Nigerian restaurant in San Antonio. I do come to this town often for seminars and was pleased to finally discovered this little gem. Very clean and unlike what you normally get from your typical African restaurants, here the food is fabulous, the staffs are very attentive and respectful and the place is CLEAN!! And above all, the chef actually comes to check on how you are enjoying the food. We were in town for just three days and drove over 30 miles from our hotel to go there on 3 different occasions. I had the white rice with stew and plantains on my three visit (that tells you how much I loved it) my wife had the egusi soup, the white rice and jellof rice in that order on each occasion and loved it. Our very picky children tried all dishes and loved the suya more. And we packed to go each evening. Keep it up and we will surely be coming back anytime we are in San Antonio.

I had high expectations from the high ratings and attractive pictures. I wont even get started with the amount of money spent just to throw food in the trash. I love and enjoy eating nigerian food from my mothers kitchen and even the Nigerian restaurants in Houston serve very good dishes. I received take out for two separate dishes and one side item. I was disappointed that the beef didnt come with stew or at least some sauce because the meat was dry, tough, and lack flavor. The moi moi was the worst Ive ever had for the same reasons very dry and no flavor. I havent even tried the second dish in the fridge and prepared for disappointment. Im not the one to just eat food of poor quality because its not worth the extra calories if not enjoyable.

I must have surprised him when I walked in and started ordering lol. I am Filipino, but raised in Nigeria. It has been many years since I had Nigerian food. Egusi was amazing! Exactly what Ive been looking for! I wished he had eba to with my egusi, but the pounded yam was good for now. The fried plantain! You CAN go wrong with them, but this was perfect! Not over ripe. I am full of exclamations!! I ordered extra to go, and yes, it was still good he next day. The suya had the exact spice that I am familiar with in Nigeria. I recommend others to check Kobams out. I didnt catch his name, but he was a very respectful and friendly man. Kudos!!

Wow, as a naija boy this place makes sense. Ive lived in San Antonio for about 2 years now and I never knew this place even existed. Oh where are all the Nigerians in San Antonio because e bi like say dem don turn unicorns. Anyway, I ordered to go yesterday, everyone was was nice but my food wasnt ready when I got there. I sat there and twiddled my thumb until it was ready. I ordered meat pies, jollof rice and goat me and efo riro and pounded yam. Best food Ive had in 8 years. Good job guys. I recommend this place whether you are African or not. If you like good food this is it.

I was tired of begging my Nigerian friends to cook for me so I thought Id give this place a try. I didnt think they could compare to the authentic African dishes I had become accustom to but was I wrong! The food was outstanding and I never had so much goat meat in my stew. I got vegetable soup and fufu as well as the meat pie. I will be ordering from here again! Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly and polite. I felt so welcome here plus the portions were very large! Great food great prices great people

If you enjoy trying new things or if you simply love African cuisine, this is HANDS DOWN the place to go! The prices are fair and the server and cook do all they can to ensure you get what you ordered based on what you want. This was my 13 year old daughters 1st time and she tried an African tradition (Fufu with Egusi soup), they education us on what we were ordering and it exceeded expectations! Ill definitely be back for a 4th time 5th time 1000th time!!!!! If you are in San Antonio....its a place to have to visit!

I ordered a chicken that tasted really good, it was well done and had a delicious crust. However the other food was not mine. Maybe because my taste is European and not African? It was am experience that I dont want to repeat. However its just my personal opinion, others may like it. Unfortunately, it took 60 minutes for the food to be served and the dishes are very expensive. For those who come from Nigeria, it will probably match your taste, for the others, be careful with what you order.

I hate to say this but the food was very basic. 1)meat pies are better at Walmart, 2) The rice with meat sauce had no seasoning and was very bland. 3) I had the order with assorted meats and they pretty much gave me pork fat with gravy. I was very disappointed and this was my first time there. I do not recommend this place especially if you are African looking for a real African food. If youre just an average American looking for different food you will be disappointed too

Always willing to try different food. First notice was high prices for entrees. The portion of goat I ordered was minute and full of gristle. Sauce was good and spicy but did not make up for the small portion and poor quality of meat. Plantains were rubbery and unattractive. As if my bad experience with the food wasnt enough in came someone with loud and unruly children. At these prices I do not foresee success for this restaurant.

I ordered the egusi soup, jollof rice and pounded yam and it was all delicious. I thought it was authentic and freshly made. The server was professional and offered suggestions. I will return and highly recommend this African Restaurant to anyone who cant travel to Nigeria for a delicious bowl of Egusi soup. Keep up the good work guys!

My husband and I ate here on our visit to San Antonio yesterday. The food was spectular with the right amount of seasoning. The owner was extremely nice and you can tell they are very big on customer service. Our waitstaff(Chinonye) was phenomenal. I will definitely be back. We already miss the food!
