I had only previously experienced The Keg in Canada before visiting this establishment in Plano. There are only a handful of establishments here in the states. My friend from Canada was visiting, and as we approached the Willow Bend Mall to exchange her currency she noticed the Plano location next to Maggianos. My family and I, along with my Canadian friend, chose to visit this location to not only give her a taste of home on her visit, but to celebrate 3 birthdays and a job promotion for my brother. The phenomenal service I had always received during my Canadian visits was nothing less than spectacular upon my first visit to this American location. We had the inexplicable pleasure of having Sean as our server. Hands down the best server Ive had the pleasure of experiencing. He made sure we wanted for nothing. He spoke clearly, concisely, and with confidence about the company and the menu. He, with his outstanding service, ensured that my family and I would absolutely be returning, as well as recommending himself, and this location to friends and family, alike. He was such a gentleman, and did not overlook even ONE single thing when it came to our dining experience. We visited right after rush hour traffic, at peak dinner hours. While he had other tables to tend to, he made us feel as if we were his only one. He was personable, and conversed with us on a personal level while maintaining nothing but absolute professionalism. Outstanding food, and phenomenal service. Second to none. Management was there to follow up once our food was out, as well. Incredible. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up. None of it adequately expresses the genuineness that was our celebration at The Keg. Thank you, Sean.

Food was excellent. Beat the other Kegs in DFW. Taste was amazing for every plate. What we had: Rib Steak w/lobster tail, Asiago asparagus, garlic mash potatoes, twice baked potatoes with tiger shrimp cocktail and escargot to start. Creme brûlée for dessert. Each of those plates were 5 stars with regards to presentation and taste. As far as service, 4 stars for several reasons: it took about 5 minutes from sitting down to get someone to acknowledge us and provide some waters. Drinks (Apple martinis) took a long time to get to us every time we ordered it - every drink was empty for at least 5 minutes before we were asked if wed like another then had to wait 5-10 more minutes for one. While thats not a long time its definitely not worth 5 stars. The other point is that the waiter didnt give us much more attention until after we ordered the $100 bottle of wine. The amount that you spend shouldnt dictate the level of service you receive. To top it off we were there ending our meal 30 minutes before close and the wait staff were playing around and tossed a ball of Saran Wrap at us in error which thankfully didnt land on our dessert. Our waiter apologized and said the manager would comp the dessert, which is fine but its disappointing that the manager didnt address this personally. Will I be back, yes. Do I recommend them, yes. Fantastic food but service is 4 stars.

We had been to the keg a few years ago and remembered it was very good, so we set up a reservation for 6 people on mothers day. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were able to grab drinks at the bar (which were great, house cabernet is fantastic, so is the red sangria). They came to take us to our table, a lovely round corner both with plenty of room. Our waitress was vey friendly and showed us the mothers day menu, every one of us ordered the prime rib, it is the best Ive ever had, and Ive had quite a few. Mine was with scallops Oscar and WOW! The scallops are amazing and practically melt in your mouth! The Keg is everything and more that you expect in a upscale steakhouse, if youre in town, I cant recommend it enough! Oh, and definitely get the mushrooms neptune for a appetizer!

On a scale from 1 to 10 it was a 20... We walked in and it was completely packed--hostesses were extremely courteous and kind. Stephanie greeted us and walked us to our table which was spotless. Atmosphere and ambiance was incredible. Our waitress, Ani, was extremely hospitable and quick. The steaks (filet mignon) were incredible....tender, savory and cooked to perfection! The salads were crisp/fresh. They also have a mouth watering dessert called Billy Minor pie...which is to die for! Brian, the bar manager was super friendly and delivered some fresh bread without us even asking. Antonio, kitchen manager, came out and checked on us and our food. I would highly highly recommend this establishment if you want a superior dining experience!

I was disappointed in our experience here. My husband and I ate there for his birthday after a couple of friends suggested that we try it. We were seated promptly, but our waitress was nowhere to be found for about 10 minutes after we sat down. Our waitress was just really bad. I noticed that most of the other customers were getting good service, however, so I think we were just unlucky. My husband had an alcoholic beverage, which was very tasty, but that was about all. The appetizer, steak, and sides were just OK. I wasnt impressed at all, especially considering the price (over $75 for two drinks, and appetizer, and two entrees). I wouldnt recommend it and I probably wont return either.

The staff was not helpful. I attempted to eat there on a Tuesday night. There were 2 small groups waiting to be seated in front of us. After arriving and asking how long of a wait there would be for my group of five, the hostess said she would have to check with her manager. They whispered to each other for about 5 minutes. I literally stood there for 5 minutes waiting for a wait time, only to have them tell me the wait was at least an hour. It was pretty obvious they did not want my 2 kids there. Dont be fooled. This place has a kids menu, but they dont want your kids there.

The place is nice on the inside. Great ambiance. The teriyaki sirloin is also delicious. My issues were with the loud, nightclub style music as well as ordering process. It is apparently impossible to get a side of rice and pay extra to get a salad. They removed my rice and substituted French fries. When I inquired, they said it was less expensive this way. Even though I wanted rice rather than fries. Guess they dont want my extra money, but rather give customers what they dont want. Also, for a place called The Keg, their beer selection is pretty minuscule.

My girlfriend and I have been to The Keg a few times and every time they have been on point. The staff is always friendly and tentative, we have a waitress weve grown to like will continue to use her. The food is delicious, and our steaks are constantly cooked to the right temperature. We enjoy their steaks, theyre reasonable and seem to be of very good quality. Their alcohol is a bit over priced, but their specialty beverages are definitely worth it. I must say that we will continue to take our business to The Keg for many year to come.

My boyfriend and I eat here all the time. We also bring family members from out of town here when they are visiting Dallas. Very good customer service. One of our dishes came out slightly late (we werent complaining about it) but the manager immediately took ownership and offered a credit. The food is really great and the atmosphere is very nice. When we first started dating, this was one of first "favorites" and we still love going. :-) Recommend to anyone that wants to visit. :-)
