Went to Lupe Tortilla for the first time today and was VERY disappointed. The staff was friendly and our waitress was great, but the food and the price were definitely not worth it. To begin with, I just didnt understand the joke with the menu items being written in the way that someone with a Mexican accent would pronounce them in English. It was slightly offensive. To begin with my food was originally sent to another table and I had to wait to have my order remade. We ordered their original "Beeg Sucker" burrito and the soft chicken tacos. The burrito, which is said to be one of their specialties, was not good at all. It was basically a giant tortilla filled with refried beans and even though I paid an extra $3 to get chicken fajita, there were only 2-3 pieces of chicken inside. The "gravy" on top of burrito made the burrito practically inedible. The soft chicken tacos were okay, but had WAY too much cheese on top. What was the most disappointing was the price. We paid $34 for food that was not very good. I would rather go to Taco Cabana and spend WAY less on a delicious meal for 2.

The best beef fajitas in Pearland, no one else comes close. Even "authentic" Mexican restaurants have nothing on Lupes fajitas. They prep their beef in a lime marinade to give it a tangy twist, but not overly so. And it is always tender & juicy. Most restaurants serve beef that is either flavorless, dry and/or gristly, but Lupes beef is always perfect. Their chicken fajitas are also good, but its hard to screw up chicken. On Tuesdays they offer $25 beef & chicken combo fajitas for two people. The servings are generous, and we always take home a doggie bag. The ribs are awesome if you like em sweet. If you want something spicy, try the grilled shrimp. The drinks are good too, even the house margaritas (which dont make you feel like you should have had the pricier margs the next day). In fact, pretty much everything on the menu is delicious. The only item that disappointed me was the tres leches, which was dry & uninspired.

My wife and I moved out to Pearland last year, and we have patronized this restaurant several times in the last year. Something is wrong with the order every single time we order takeout. It happened again tonight, and I feel like other customers in Pearland ought to know about the despicable service we have received with regard to the accuracy of our to go orders. Tonight, we had an extra conversation with "Karlei" about how our orders are always wrong. She said she was sorry and tossed in an extra taco - but we got home missing the queso... AGAIN. I mean - do people who manage the restaurant even pay attention to what their employees are doing? We are perfectly nice people to the service folks who even tip well and yet still... We wont even bother trying again - too many evenings ruined by cold and missing food.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Each time we have been with new people, they have brought complementary samples of their beef fajita meet, which is delicious. We have also become big fans of the Queso flameado, which should not be confused for your average liquidy cheese dip; it is thick and topped with a red jalapeno and can have a variety of their meats added to it. Some items on the menu as mentioned in some other reviews are sub par for the Houston area, but overall we are very satisfied and will continue to visit.

Wouldve been better had we got all our food at the same time. We had half of our food and the other half came 45mins later and they ended up covering the plates that came super late. The server was great its just kind of stinks that we didnt have our food on time and that it took forever. Food is pretty great though. In all fairness they it seemed as if they were short staffed or something. Just make sure youre ready to wait and maybe not get your food on time.

The waitress we had was not well trained on waiting on 2 year old children. After speaking with Amy, the manager, service began to improve. Heres a tip for people with small children. When the wait is long as the waiter/waitress to bring your child a ball of tortilla dough to play with. It will keep them busy until the food arrives. Other than that, the food was good and the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. This location is terrible. I have been many times here in hopes of improvement and I am always let down. You always have to ask for something the waiters forgot. The food is cold and the waiters couldnt be bothered by it. Also forget drink refills. You will go thirsty. This review is not an isolated incident. I keep trying to have hope since so many other Lupe Tortillas are so good.

They have a roach problem they need to address. The past 2 times we saw roaches. One incident a small roach crawled back and forth on my wifes booth seat till a staff member came and killed it. Tonight we saw a large roach crawl up the wall towards the ceiling. Our waitress has always been excellent, but this restaurant needs to address this issue.

Food was cold when I got it. Which is odd since it came out quickly and they werent busy. $13 for a supposedly a top shelf margarita that was barely drinkable. Also lunch menu sucks. Wanted one substitution ended up paying full dinner price. Not happy. $30 down the drain and I am still hungry. Waiter was nice but will probably not eat here again.

Just moved to the Houston area from South Carolina. I LOVE Mexican food, and eat it often. I have been quite disappointed in several of the Mexican restaurants Ive visited so far....but MAN, I was impressed with Lupes! They have the best atmosphere! Food was great! The chips & salsa were amazing, & the fajitas were great. Definitely recommend

Food was great. Service was terrible. There was 5 of us. We had to ask 3 times for one of food. They either forgot it or missed it up. Never gave an explanation. Never did bring the flour tortillas we ordered. I never rate a place so dont really know how to rate because service was that bad. Had to get a to go box for forgotten order

I thought it was gonna be a miss because our server wasnt the nicest server in the world but EVERYTHING took an amazing turn when Amy the kitchen manager came... SHE WAS AMAZING. Ive never gone from furious to EXTREMELY satisfied after a bad experience. Solely based on my experience with Amy Im definitely a returning customer!!

What a rip off! I called in a to go order, and will never eat here again. $32 = 1lb. Fajitas, 4 tortillas, single serving of rice and beans, and one small bag of chips. Not near enough for the 3 people it was supposed to feed. Go to Papasitos instead and spend less on a pound of fajitas and sides that will feed 4.
