I tried Grand Prize for the first time a few weeks ago, called ahead and picked up a large order for my coworkers and I. The man at the cash register was very friendly and even added some complimentary cobbler for each entree we ordered. Our baked potatoes were delicious and enormous! Since then we have been ordering every now and then for the office and we have received the same great service. Side note: stuffed jalapenos are extremely spicy, still very good just spicy (be ready for the kick)

For years I leave loved Grand Prize both in Pasadena and Texas City. The quality of the BBQ has gone down greatly in the Pasadena location over the last year or so. The ribs are overcooked and dry and the brisket actually tastes like it boiled and not smoked. Drowning BBQ in barbeque sauce is not going to help. The last time I was in to pick up dinner, the entire place smelled like a public toilet. Sick. Never again.

I cannot say enough on how great the food quality, quantity, flavorful, properly seasoned and excellent service we received. In my busy life, it’s nice to know that I can depend on Grand Prize Barbeque for great food!

Ignore the other retards that reviewed. I have been around the BBQ world and back and I always come home to Grand Prize. There owner Kevin is a gentleman and a scholar. There food and service are second to none. Try the sliced turkey on jalapeno cheese bread.

Just driving by and stoped in for lunch. This place has incredible service even better food and huge portions. I will drive out of the way anytime to get the barbecue at this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

This is the only place, and I mean ONLY place I pay for BBQ. Kevin does a fantastic job with his food. If you leave this place hungry, you have only yourself to blame. I will have this place cater my funeral when I die!
