If youre looking for top notch Tex-Mex in Mesquite, you just found it! I remember nearly 20 years ago when this place opened how excited everyone was, but admittedly it had been a while since I went. I dont know if they implemented changes or what, but this place is top notch easily, and this is in a town full of great tex-mex options. The chips, salsa and tortillas are always free and very plentiful... and you know they make the tortillas on site like any respectable establishment would. They have also have free ice-cream and sopapillas, which are just an added bonus. So again, that is 4 free items with every meal you can count on. The decor is wild and fun, very detailed. Inside and out the place looks more like it would be at Disney Springs or Universal City Walk in Orlando than here in Mesquite Texas. Take a moment to look around and enjoy the fun neon lights, paintings and odd decor like vintage boat motors. On the menu, you will find the pricing and options in line with a upper class tex-mex place, so dont expect to get out for less than $10 a person. This is more than made up for by the fact that everything from the rice to the beans to the queso is "top notch" and tastes noticeably higher in quality than the same version of these items at other eateries. I have tried many items here now, and have yet to be less than impressed with them. My go-to jam is a combo plate called "Cancun" which has a beef fajita taco and a chili relleno. YUM! If you are looking for a business lunch or nice dinner date or time out with family, this is a solid choice I am happy to direct to towards.

Been coming to this location for years, had great service during lunch until the end when I noticed the bill. I have never Felt so publicly humiliated in my life, when I noticed an additional 1.99 charge on the bill for queso. Felt the manager needed to defend the waitress and state that all others before her in the last 10 years have been doing it wrong by not charging us for the queso over rice, as this is extra; Im all for playing by the rules but come on theres got to be a separate standard you are not going to go bankrupt for 1.99, either way I was not happy with the waitress having to go take it to the manager first of all, wheres the sense of empowerment here, its 1.99. If the decision was not hers to make then ok understandable, if he chose to remove it from my bill as a courtesy then so be it, but you dont have to come out and talk to me about 1.99 and let me know that the waitress did nothing wrong. First of all, I never blamed her. Secondly it could have been removed and handled with more discretion. Its not the point of paying 1.99 I would pay it if I owe it. This is why most people just suck it up and dont voice their opinion or state when they have had unsatisfactory service to spare the embarrassment and humiliation. Note to manager, handle things with more discretion your waitress was never blamed and I doubt that in over the last 10-15 years everyone that works here had been doing it wrong.

My husband and I have been here a lot. Service is usually great, and we love the food. Todays visit will be our last for at least a while. The waitress was very sweet and attentive, and the food was good- but 2 things REALLY upset me. 1) we noticed a small hair on the little plate and told both the waitress and another employee who brought our food. Neither said ANYTHING in response. Not even an acknowledgement. 2) We were charged for an adult drink for our 3 year old daughter, and she took maybe 3 drinks out of it. Im not being petty, and we didnt make a huge deal...we compensated our waitress and left. I have been a server myself, I do understand things happen. But Ive never blantently ignored a customer or charged adult for a small child. That just kinda ruined us of the place were used to enjoying fully and not having issues.

The food is always great. We love coming here. My issue with the place is the thieving waitress by the name of Mallory. My 5 year old left her I pod on the table and we realize it after we got home. We called up there and no one had turned it in. We call again the next day and speak to our waitress and tell her there was a reward for its return. Wouldnt you know it, she found it just last night where they said they looked for it the day before! Looking through it she had deleted the contact info in it but couldnt get past the pass code. What a saint! She never even turned it into the actual restaurant as a lost iteam. Glad she got it back but pissed I had to pay some witch worker to not steal it. Keep your valuables close in this restaurant! Sticky fingers may be watching.

We arrived at the bar with the intent to place a to-go order which we could tell was under staffed due to the sunday crowd. We placed our order and did not actually recieve our food until 50 minutes later. This was unacceptable as the words "to-go" obviously held no meaning to the staff. Especially for two salads. We finally recieved our food and thanked our waiter and left. However once we returned home we found that our order was incorrect, and thus our fault for putting trust in the employees there that they would get it right and not double checking ourselves.

Taylor was our server last night for my birthday. I had a party of 15, and she made the experience so awesome! She was very stuctured and organized wih such a respectful attitude. We didnt need to ask for anything, she was on top of everything the whole dinner! Her awesome service allowed us to focus on eachother and just enjoy my birthday. The food was amazing too!!! Everyone was so happy with their plate!! Large, oversized portions! The flavor was perfect!! Could not have asked for a better birthday!! Thank you Posados!!!

Food is awesome some of the staff here leaves alot to be disired though. Management is horrible which makes the waitstaff uneasy at times. If u do go eat here ask for Linda to be your server. She is one of the only reasons my family and I still frequent the restaurant. She will do everything she can to make your lunch or dinner enjoyable. The food is some of the best of Ive had and I have been to just about every mexican food restaurant in this area. If it wasnt for the management here I would have rated it 5 stars

Hope that I am not disappointed on my future trips after posting this review. Posados is fantastic. Their food is so delish. The Sangria Swirl Margarita, cant be beat. Go during happy hour 3 - 7. This is my second time going here and I honestly enjoyed everything, the food, the service, the drinks, the music, the environment and the prices. Did i mention the food was good? Their burritos, chalupas, cheese enchiladas, chili, and flautitas are so good. Ill definitely be back, they did not disappoint.......

Sat and ordered our food. 15 min later drinks came. We received our food finally and the fajitas we ordered were very pink. We had no silverware or plates and he finally came by like 10 min later and asked if we needed anything. I said silverware and plates. He finally brought those and for fear we would never get to eat we are the pink fajitas. Never got a refill and I am very disappointed. We drove 45 min to get here because we missed it so much. Im mad about the gas and time I wasted....
