Ryes atmosphere is just the right fit for the downtown McKinney square! A small, cozy restaurant that makes you feel like youre seated among friends. The menu is short - allowing you to choose from some delicious, seasonal, and locally sourced selections without having to spend most of your dinner deciding. Their selection of wines, cocktails, and beers was more than sufficient for finding a perfect pairing with dinner. We had the Cartermere Farms Heritage Chicken Fricassee and the Guajillo Chile Rubbed Pork Tenderloin with a side of Charred Brussel Sprouts. The flavors in each dish were well-thought out, properly cooked, and overall delicious. I think we could have eaten a whole barrel of the brussel sprouts! We left with full bellies and a delightful new restaurant to add to our favorites list. Servers were pleasant and kept a close eye on our glass for refills throughout dinner. Excited to come back again soon. Thank you, Rye, for considering quality over quantity and for the time you have spent perfecting your craft! Keep it up!

Another great farm to table restaurant in McKinney! We are so grateful for it. They are located where Gregorys Bistro used to be, but they moved to a bigger location at Adriatica. We have eaten at Rye many times for lunch, dinner, & even for brunch. Food is very good, fresh & local! We highly recommend. They do not take reservations unless it is a group of 6 or more. Due to their limited space. So go early on weekends! The only negative thing is the high turn over they have, however Chris has helped us a few times & did a great job. Enjoy your visit!

Great spot for lunch or dinner. Food is always excellent and staff is great. This place is on a whole other level than Square Burger, Cadillac and Bien Salsa, they are not even in the same class. If you want burgers, pizza, or Mexican, this is not where you go.... I love Cadillac, but it is a completely different type of place. The other two are just meh, especially compared to Rye. As for small, that is immediately apparent when you walk in. I really enjoy the atmosphere.

Tried this place for the first time. Small historic space. Good service. Great food. It is somewhat of a farm-to-market establishment, but much better food that some of the other local farm-to-market restaurants. Not a cheap dinner, but reasonable for this type of place and the quality of food/service. It does get a bit loud when there are groups, but that is unavoidable with the brick walls and tin ceilings. Will definitely be going back.

We love Rye. The food is so yummy! Please, please get at a couple high chairs so that we can come more often. I understand that they are limited on space, but storing a high chair or two in the bathroom doesnt seem like too much to ask. One other thing, we were seated next to the ice machine. We watched one of the servers drop the ice scoop on the floor, pick it up, and use an unwashed scoop to get more ice.

Im giving 4 stars because seating and walking through the restaurant are haphazard. Its small quarters. With a 67" hubs, getting seated is a miracle without accidentally tripping or bumping over another chair or table. The food and cocktails are good and well definitely go back. The braised short ribs over grits are to die for. This place is well suited for dining parties of 2 - 4.

Food is great, but is pricey. The atmosphere is cozy and reminiscent of a NYC restaurant. The wait can be long on Friday or Saturday nights, so itd be a better date night spot on a week night. I did learn that they do take reservations for parties of 6 or more, though, so get a group of friends together for brunch and you wont be disappointed.

The space is cozy. The hosts are bright. The menu always has fresh, intriguing options. They are dedicated to sourcing locally. But what matters most for any restaurant... the food cannot be beat. Everything is cooked with great balance and skill. Natural flavors are highlighted. Portions are spot-on. This is farm-to-table at its best.

We had the Rye burger, Gouda Mac, and Shrimp pappardelle. . All three were amazing! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the pappardelle tasted homemade. The Gouda Mac was for the 8 year old, but after tasting it we ordered a second helping to share! Ill definitely be adding Rye to our rotation.

I decided to have lunch here with my friend because of the welcoming smile and answers to my questions by Kara. Once at the table I originally wanted the BLT as Kara suggested but changed my mind. I ordered the special if the day and it was awesome! I will try the BLT next time Kara!

Brunch on the square in Mckinney? Gotta try RYE! The drink specials are always good and the food is great. Catering to this GF girl can be tricky but not here. They are always careful and courteous to my requests. Love it! Please come try RYE. Well, maybe I should keep them secret.

Great (and creative) cocktails, exceptional food and good service. Only drawback is the size, which doesnt allow for much private conversation. Not enough to keep me away. Looking forward to going back and trying something new, although thier Lobster Risotto is still on my mind!

We went for brunch and it was overall great. Mimosas are fresh. Friends enjoyed the BLT, Nutella bacon pancakes, and omelet respectively. I had a side of eggs though that was super runny though. The biscuits and gravy was yum. They should add more vegetarian options.

Exceptional food, but a small restaurant so wait times can be long. They do take your cell phone number, so that you are free to shop the square or have a few drinks at the pub down the street while you wait. The duck and scallops were definitely worth the wait!

Service could be a little bit faster but I havent been enough times to know if thats really an issue. The FOOD is FANTASTIC and the staff are very nice people. Ive had some food combinations here that have blown my mind. I highly recommend them for brunch.

Nasty Food, Rude Owner, Hostess dont know about their rules. I spoke with hostess explained what we wanted, said that was fine. After we order the owner tells us she didnt know what she talking about... For the price you pay for the, I give the food a 2

The food was good, but over priced and small portions. The place is small, and there were too many staff members for the number of patrons. It was uncomfortable because it felt like we were being watched, and had no privacy to enjoy our meal.

Great food, high price, totally unsatisfactory wait times. Sat at 6:35P and the main course arrived at 7:42P. And it was cold. They werent even that busy. Will not be going back. Loved the creativity and overall ambience.

Small portions, high prices, menu tries too hard to be creative. It all sounds interesting, but its just not that good. Many better options in downtown McKinney: Square Burger, Bien Salsa, Cadillac Pizza, to name a few.

It was truly a pleasure eating here, food was amazing and I loved the ambiance felt like I was in an authentic NYC restaurant. The lobster crab corn rissoto was so delicious ! Highly recommend this place!
