I just wanted to preface this review with the fact that this place has good atmosphere and great live music. The reason this review has one star is that the staff is absolutely terrible! I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and would never imagine treating a customer, let alone another human being, the way my party was treated. We were waiting at the bar to order a drink and I recall one of the waitresses saying "you need to get out of my way" we didnt realize we were standing at the part of the bar where they dropped off empty glasses. I understand that tension runs high when a business is busy but that kind of behavior is uncalled for. Especially from someone on payroll! Even the bartenders acted as if it was a burden to take our orders. We didnt even get mixed drinks. I get that this place is a dive but thats no excuse to be treated badly. If you can turn a blind eye to the rude employees this place is great! The performers are awesome and the interior is very cool. The customer service experience for me was just absolutely subpar. (If you sit near the stage and dont order anything Im sure you will have a good time!)

WARNING! Do not park on the side of the bar next to Walters because they will tow you and the bar will not warn you in any way! I wasnt told I couldnt park there until I was signing the check! What an awful practice! I mean give me a heads up BEFORE I sit down please. They should put up signs in front of the spots so that it doesnt happen but apparently they think they are ugly or else they are getting a cut of the profits off the tows. Bottom line is the bar is responsible for their patrons parking nearby, if we cannot park on what appears top be their property than we should be notified when we enter the building!!!! Do not go here and give them your hard earned money because you will have to pay $250 to get you car back from the tow company, go to the other locations instead which are much nicer and friendlier too! And while I am at it dont go to Walters World of Pets either! they are assholes as well, and they mistreat their animals.

The positives were the beer was cold and the prices were very reasonable. The oysters were some of the largest Ive had in a long time. They also came with all the fixins - crackers, horse radish, lemons, hot sauce and more. But basically this is a dark, dingy smoked filled dive. Looks like they also feature live entertainment later in the evening. But all in all, even though the oysters and drinks at The Crafthouse Gastropub are two or three times the price, I think they are more my speed. However, if you dont mind the smoke then this may be the place for you.

This place is definitely a bar not a restaurant. We went to have some oysters and its a complete dive! People smoking right next to you and taking shots. Now, Im not so offended by that but if your trying to eat with kids they need plugs for all the cursing. Cool place to go get hammered and eat but not a family outing.

Ive always loved this place but the drinks and service have gone down hill. WAitress threw our ticket at us as she walked away on her cell phone. Left her a $1 tip. She was very un personable and was more interested in her phone .... Im also a bartender ...you do NOT treat your customers this way and expect a tip!!!!!

This is my favorite dive bar in Lubbock. It also serves up very good raw oysters. It is smoky, but most Lubbock bars are. If you like dives that serve generic beer, good seafood, and showcase local musicians, then youll like this bar.

Wednesday is the day to be here. Half priced oysters. Oysters taste so fresh! $1.50 fish tacos, another favorite item, spicy deliciousness! A downer/an inconvenience of this place, smoking is allowed inside.
