My mom and I stopped in last week 5-9-2012 at about 130 they were still alittle busy being Mothers Day week I suppose. We ordered our appetizers and drinks and then our food. The appetizers and drinks were there in no time. We ourdered a Chicken Salad and a Patty melt and french fries and I asked if I could get it on sourdough bread instead of rye bread. The food was rather quick comming out but thats when it went bad. My french fries were still frozen in the middle and the patty melt pink (I did ask for welldone) I very politely called the waitress over and she took the food. LOL When it came back itwas on 2 plates I picked the patty melt up and it literally burnt my finger tips-they had stuck the whole plate in the microware and reheated it. The onions fellout the soggy bottom and you couldnt hammer the crust off. Unfortunately for them I work in Customer Service in A big retail store there in Kearney and have and will continue to tell customers to steer clear of there. And what is bad they actually own or operate 2 Restraunts there. So bad service at 1 equals why take a chance on the second one.

Took my wife out on Valentines Day. Ordered the special which was listed as a chicken fajita with green peppers and onions. The order came after a long wait (45 min or longer). It was cold and had no seasoning missing the green peppers and the onions were raw and very strong. It was stuffed in a flour tortilla. Called the waitress and sent it back, both orders. The waitress informed us they had run out of green peppers (she forgot to inform us). The manager was mad because we sent the order back and the waited another 20 min before taking our new order. Food was cold again when they brought it. Charged us for a side that was to be included. Did not offer to apologize for the poor service or bad food. Will never return. We used to like the cellar.

We ate here and the food was terrible. To be fair they had a specialized menu for the eclipse so my review is limited to that. The positive....the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They always had a smile on their face and made sure all of our needs were met. Now to the negative...the food was gross. I had a jalapeno popper dip that was very greasey, so much that I could turn it upside down and it would pour out. My daughter had the Fettucini Alfredo which basically was cold noodles sitting in milk. My wife got a chicken dish that was burnt and tasted like char. We do not plan on ever going back. To bad too because they used to have amazing food and onion rings. I guess all good things must come to an end.

I was brought here by some friends who live in Alma and Oh-my-gawsh... so good. I started with a Bloody Mary and we shared a large order of onion rings. I see why people talk about there. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with tomatoes and extra onions, I like onions, with waffle fries with house made ranch. The burger was excellent but a little over cooked as I ordered it medium but the gravy on the mushrooms made up for that and it was excellent. We were there late Saturday night and it was quiet and dim, perfect for visiting with friends. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be back. Oh and get the onion rings, youll be sad if you dont.

The food was cold. Really wasnt happy with what I ordered even though the clam chowder was good when it was reheated but they left the oyster crackers in it and they were rock hard from the reheating. Should of gave me a new bowl. Fish was cold in the middle. Waffle fries cold. My friends burrito was awesome. Onion rings plain sucked. I wont back and you shouldnt go. They did cut my dinner off the bill but honestly they should of just let me go in the kitchen and smack the cook for his attempt to be in there in the first place.

Ate their 1/14/2015, onion rings were good, salad was not that great and I got the "drunken chicken". It was horrible, could only eat the bacon and cheese that was on top of it. Other people in the group had steaks and they also stated they were not good. Service was excellent though. Was talking with the hotel staff about the establishment and they said they had been hearing alot of negative comments latley about the place.

Perhaps the best burger and rings ever? In from out of town and randomly found my way in to the Cellar. What a find! The owner, Mike, couldnt have been more welcoming and the combination of their amazing, uniquely breaded onion rings and a perfectly cooked Western Burger topped off with a well chilled beer and great conversation around the bar, left me happily full and eager for my next visit to this great little gem!

Went with my husband and two grownup kids. My steak was cold as was the baked potato, which was tiny and tasted horrible. My husband and daughters burgers were charred beyond recognition. My sons steak sandwich was also cold and so tough he couldnt cut it with his knife. I called and emailed the owner regarding our experience but never got a call back. We used to go there a lot but the last 3 vsit there were horrible.

We used to love The Cellar!! We are from out of town so it is a treat for us. The last two times we have been there steaks have been over cooked, onion rings not fully fried, baked potato that looked like it had been sitting in a warmer for days and tasted like it too. The food just did not taste like the good ol Cellar we are used to. We wont be going back for a long time unfortunately!!

Was really looking forward to going to the Cellar for lunch because I havent been there for a long time. Got there right at 11, door was still locked. Our entire group stood outside for 5 minutes waiting for them to unlock the doors. They didnt, so we went elsewhere. Very disappointing when a restaurant doesnt open when it says it does.

I would never eat at this restaurant again unless it was a burger. The food was cold and my druken chicken was so dry by 20 yo son who usually cleans up all of our leftovers, didnt want to eat it either. The onion rings are good, but not the best Ive ever had and they didnt make up for the poor food quality or poor service.

Called to ask about catering. Got put on hold for 9 minutes then was hung up on. Called again, asked for a manager this time, got transferred to hold for 7 minutes. Finally got a manager, was promtly told hold on, was then immediately hung up on. Pitiful service, Ill go elsewhere with my money then.

Overall food was good, service was stellar....my only complaint is the roast beef was way to salty......I find over salted foods are way to common pretty much whereever you go it seems. Wished they would tone it down.....one can always add more at the table if need be....
