Went to 54th Street tonight for dinner. I ordered the blackened salmon and my husband ordered shrimp. Kids had the kids steak and pasta. The star though was our waitress Mallory. A sweet high school girl who had a really sweet smile and awesome attitude. She has only worked there for a few weeks but had GREAT service. She recommended a great starter and answered all our questions about the menu. It seemed like she was excited and happy to be at work-something you dont see often. I had to send my salmon back because it was cold in the middle but because of the service our waitress provided, I wasnt at all upset. The manager Ryan came to our table and was apologetic and I told him it wasnt a big deal and complemented our waitress because she was genuinely sorry my food was undercooked. Shortly afterwards Jake the kitchen manager came by and apologized and offered us a dessert in the house due to the inconvenience. The attention all three showed was very impressive. In closing, Mallory provided us with the best service we have had in a long time and should you go by I definitely recommend you sit in her section. Despite my food being cold, I still have to rate it five stars simply because her service was outstanding!!

We went on a Friday night of course it was busy, they quoted us 35 min wait but it was more like an hour. Our waiter was nice and got the first rounds of drinks out fast. But forgot a beer until we asked about it. We had children so we ordered for them first. Their food came out with the appetizer of chips and their gringo sause. That was good. The kids Mac and cheese was Kraft, you could see balls of cheese powder. Along with the French fries not worth 4.99. Main course took a while to come out but again it was busy. We all had steaks with loaded baked potatos. The steaks were warm but not hot. All 3 baked potatoes were cold and hard. The butter half melted on 2 and on mine it was still a cold hard ball. Waiter was nice and sent out new potatoes that were hot. We were there for a birthday, and they offer free dessert, a beer or a shot. Birthday person ordered a slice of cheesecake to go. When we got home and opened the dessert box it was melted ice cream and a cake instead. Over all the food was good if not a little cold or wrong sometimes. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was our second time so we will probably give it one more try at a less busy time.

So this restaurant is filled with eye candy in the form with relics from the past. Theres a spacious patio with a fire pit and just off of the television filled bar area where every sporting event being broadcast is on display, there is a draft house. The hostesses, waiters, and waitress manage to be personable AND efficient. I walked in dancing and singing to the music, the hostess joined right in. Once I was there with a group and there was a mix up with the order that was fixed IMMEDIATELY; there was no arguing and the manager came out and apologized. Ive enjoyed everything that Ive ever eaten here, but the Mac Daddy & Cheese has stolen my heart; that mac and cheese is the best mac and cheese that Ive ever had in my life. I get them to toss a side of broccoli in with it. The portions are very generous so I never finish my meal but the food here is on the short list of restaurants serving food that I dont mind eating a day later (leftovers usually die in my refrigerator). I could go on and on but Ill stop here. This place is fabulous.

Uh, yuk. Went here a second time but should have followed my instincts and went somewhere else. Figured Id go ahead and give it another chance and order something else. First thing to find out is the place smells funky, almost like a daycare or a place where kids play. I ordered iced tea and picked up the menu only to find out it had some wet yellow stuff scattered all over the inside cover. Looked like someone coughed or sneezed on it...gross. Ordered a chicken sandwich and was shocked to see how thick the chicken breast was when it was brought to the table. I do prefer thinner chicken on a sandwich but figured it could be good so I went for it but when I got about half way into it I encountered something inedible. A vein of fat or cartilage that I couldnt bite off. Ok, double gross. I was done at that point as I lost my appetite. Then I waited and waited and waited for my check which seemed to take forever. Im done with this place.

You can almost guarantee a wait here at night on the weekend. Sometimes up to an hour. That being said the food is amazing so Ill just go early our on not busy nights/lunches. Service has been a little iffy. Mostly good but a few visit the table too often. When youre chatting with your friends and someone visits to ask how everything is every five mins it can become a bother. I love the food so much Id give 5 starts, but other issues get in the way of that. Not a big fan of the bar, drinks are bad quality alcohol or the portions on the mix drink are off too much, also took quite some time to get them to the table last visit, or main course was out first even though they were the first thing ordered.

Usually my go to spot for a Friday night withy family. But honestly service isnt that great. Also did express to go for my first time today and waited out by the speaker for about 5 minutes and no one said anything, when it clearly says that they will immediately be with you...thats a lie, so I ended up having to go inside. Told them I had an order, but then sent me down to the bar to go pick it up. On my way out a server with drinks almost ran into me and didnt even apologize. So if you ever want to try the express to go, be prepared to go inside and not get greeted or said greeted out. Food is good tho. Just thought id share my story.

Server was nice, but it was all downhill from there. Ordered the $20 Terminator steak, medium well. After 30 mins, we finally get our food. Not only is the steak rare, its 50% fat. So I send it back, and the manager comes over to tell me theyll make sure it has less "marble". It was fat. So I wait 15 mins for another, cut into it, and its basically mooing at me. Bloody and red. Sent it back, told them to take it off the bill. Will never come back. Especially when Roadhouse is across the parking lot. At least the baked potato was good, but then again, you cant really mess that up.

The restaurant was clean. The service wasnt half bad either. I ordered a ribeye and it was cooked just the way I liked it. It was a thin cut of meat though. I wanted a baked potato with it but they had somehow run out of them. I opted for the fries instead and was surprised with the freshness and tasty seasoning. The bathrooms were super dark! Not like light bulbs were burnt out, but by design. The coronarita was tasted great and was pretty strong for the price. I wasnt expecting that! Anyway its good food in a clean atmosphere. We will return.
