Sitting outside in their screened off porch, overlooking a herd of grazing cows and their calves is a very relaxing experience. The meat is outstanding, tasty and high quality. It is locally grown on a ranch almost next door. Try the blue cheese homemade potato chips and order it with jalapenos. Its great! The mesquite blend coffee is good too. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and customers are too. There is a nice gift shop too, reflecting how people in LA Vernia think. This wonderful place is worth the 30 minute drive from San Antonio. Poke through some of the other cute shops in town too.

The cafe was cozy. The setting serene. They had a lot of options to pick from on the menu from hamburgers (meat locally grown) to chicken fried steak. Their county gravy, ranch & everything else you order is homemade & delish!! They do have a senior menu & child menu, very limited. Also, daily specials & orders to go. You even have a choice of sitting in AC, on the sceened in porch or outside. Which ever you pick your view will be calming. When youre done eating they have a quaint gift shop. I found it was well worth the 20 minutes country drive to LaVernia.

The service and food are amazing! Aerial talked us through the order process and the store in general. The breading for the fried mushrooms is the best I have ever had. The ranch is real buttermilk ranch. The House Salad was fresh and large. The mesquite burger was huge and very good. And, finally, the bacon cheese fries were awesome. Cant wait to try their other items.

I actually use to like this place. The food is good but, they have kids working there. Seriously i had to tap on the drive through window. Asked for cappuccino they brought me back coffee after waiting for like 15 minites. The past 3 orders have been messed up going there. And its always these damn kids. I miss the old employees!

Mesquite has an amazing interior, and their food and coffee is pretty great too. This is not a secular business; it feels like Sunday school. I think it is a great location to take kids, and have family gatherings.

Ordered a Mokalita (Half Abuelita Hot Chocolate & Half strong coffee). Delicious! Love the service. The drive through is just great. The Customer service is phenomenal! Havent tried their food yet though.

Good food, nice decor, the gift shop offers reasonable priced goods with a local fair. They now offer outside seating and live music. Great for the entire family or a date.
