I had heard from several people that this restaurant was great. I was really disappointed. The first thing I noticed was that it was less than half full of people at 7:45 on a Friday night, which I thought was strange. My fiance and I ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. They were okay, but very stringy and mostly breading. I didnt taste any crab. Next, I got my salad. It was beautiful with several types of dark greens, tomatoes, onions, red and yellow peppers and more. It tasted wonderful until I got a bite full of something gritty, like dirt. And then another gritty bite. And another. It was as if the veggies in the salad hadnt even been washed. After three bites of dirt, I was done with the salad. Next came my sauteed shrimp with rice pilaf. The best part of it was the asparagus that came on the side. The shrimp was so rubbery it was difficult to cut. The shrimp was also extremely bland. The rice pilaf just tasted weird. I was so disappointed that I tried some of my fiances macaroni and cheese. It would have been good if the macaroni hadnt been so overcooked. It was so mushy! I was still hungry after all this disappointing, overpriced food that I asked the server to look at the dessert menu. There was nothing that looked good, so I passed on dessert. All the desserts seemed boring and uninspired. At least the server was adequate. We definitely wont be back. It was such a disappointing experience that well probably tell all our friends.

This deserves 3 stars but I needed to take down the average rating because its WAY overrated. I eat out at steak houses all the time as I travel for my job nearly every week and steak is my favorite. The steak at the keg (NY strip) was prepared correctly but extremely lackluster. It didnt have a great flavor. The asparagus was really bland and soggy. The only good item was the twice baked potato which was phenomenal. The service wasnt spectacular to make up for the mediocre food (actually service wasnt that great either....decent attention but not all that friendly). The price is as expected...really quite reasonable. Honestly the experience overall was just disappointing. I ate at the Ranch the previous week and loved the food, outdoor seating and ambience. I thought Id try the keg because I figured it must have fantastic food to be open right next to the Ranch that was so great. Wrong. Its just very average and deserves 3 stars at best. Id give the Ranch 4...maybe 4.5. Since its next door...Id go there...just my opinion.

The food there is great and the staff is even better. When we went it was nice and quiet with nice ambiance. I ordered a New York steak and lobster, it was cooked to perfection, my husband ordered the prime rib and he said it is his favorite especially with that spicy horseradish. Mike, our server was great he made sure our glasses always full. Zach paid special attention to us and made sure the food and service was impeccable. I only wish more restaurants employed people like him. Every time we are in town we always go and it has never let us down.

I went here because I heard this was a really good place to go for steak. Well I ordered the filet mignon and asked for medium. This thing comes out closer to rare and after waiting almost 15 minutes to the waiter to come back I showed him the steak. He took it back and they cooked it more. Once it was back it was still on the rare side but as soon as I bit into the first piece I got a chunk of fat. The entire point of filet mignon is minimal to no fat. This was not a good experience and Id suggest going to longhorn steakhouse any day.

Ive been here a coulpe of times for happy hour and once for a business dinner. First of all, happy hour - youll not find a better value than their $6.00 big pour glasses of wine - and its not some raunchy box wine. I like a savignon blanc and love theirs. And the homemade chips at the bar are great with your wine! For dinner I hosted 4 folks from work and we had a very nice meal - good service, good salads and quite excellent steaks. For the price you really cant beat it. I strongly recommend the Keg if you havent tried it before!

How do you not man the hostess stand ??? We came in before a stay in Texas , our last night . Want to experience a nice steak , an romantic dinner . Having after 10 minutes to flag the bartender down with hands an shrugged shoulders as if we were panhandling to get attention . Then seated , still another 10 minutes no greet to capture us . Yep we left , only then the hostess says " have a great night " . As if we dined with them , wow ! Went next door to an amazing $213.00 sushi dinner with Blue Fish .

Dining date: 12/24/16 evening. The food was delicious and our waiter was wonderful. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of something I saw. My seat faced the area where (I believe) the wait staff enters information into a machine. I had the misfortune of witnessing a waitress deeply pick her nose for a couple minutes - in full view of the dining room. I watched her leave that area and go directly to one of her tables without washing her hands. That was disgusting and something I cant unsee.

I appreciate the ambition of the bar back taking the order for my $30 steak and $13 glass of wine, which turns out was sold out :( (Signature Prime Rib I came here for). But between him continuing to clean the bar , wash glasses and sort out recycling and trash for the rest of the nigh, waitress and bartenders sitting down to eat and drink at a table and the 15-20 minutes between salad and entree, you call yourself a Steakhouse?! Steak was overcooked and twice baked potatoes were too dry :(

Extremely great food, too quality service and professional staff. I had a personal interaction with one of the managers, Mr Zach and where quickly sorted out a minor issue I had with a bill despite having a busy afternoon crowd. In spite of the workload he resolved my billing issue in a matter of minutes and that really meant a lot to me and saved me a great deal of personal trouble. So I highly recommend this restaurant, they really think about their customers.

Ordered the prime rib and wasnt disappointed. Zach the waiter, recommended it and it was great. He did mention that the horseradish was really hot. Now Im not into horseradish, but I had to try it. Wow! Hot! Only the lovers of horseradish would really appreciate it. Reasonable prices for a steakhouse. Drawback, was the noise level, but when I was leaving, the atmosphere was quieter. Recommend the restaurant.

Ive been to the Keg several times. Last Tuesday was a bad experience. My spouse and I ordered steaks. I ordered mine medium-pink and it came way overdone. My spouse ordered the prime rib and it was the worst prime rib ever--it looked gray and tasted like it had been re-heated. This was a post-wedding meal so we didnt want to ruin it by sending the food back. We took it home to the dog. Enough said.
