Let me first say, Ive been to many, many cheap buffets, most of them Asian. Im not picky, I generally still enjoy most buffets. I dont expect stuff to taste the freshest and I know a lot of it will be oily or stale. I dont think Ive ever found a buffet so repugnant. Absolutely nothing here was seasoned: the chicken tasted like the beef, both stewing in a brown sauce of oil, corn starch, and soy sauce. The chicken and beef were both tough and chewy. All of the "sushi" was 99% rice with a slice of carrot and 3 shreds of imitation crab mix or a paper thin sheet of shrimp. Absolutely no fish or anything. Even the fruit looked at tasted like they were the rejected fruits from the store. Every orange was still green. The grapefruit skin looked old and perhaps washed of mold. The rice crispy treats were soggy and slimy. Ive never been to such a bland and cheap buffet. Even at or below this price, every other buffet Ive ever been to is a million times more flavorful and "fresh" than this place.

there was very few people there, but they tried to seat us in the back corner farthest away from the food. Even though my girl friend has and obviuse movement impairment. It was obviuse we had a disabled person in their restraunt. they also brought us our check before asked. And was impatient about asking what our drinks are before seating us. They where not busy at all but treated us like we shouldnt be their. they where happy to see us tell they saw my fience had a clear impairment. She has cerebral palsy, but is very socialy adept. She was very well behaved, we all where and let it go. but honestly being caucasion christian folk my mother was very offended bye thier conduct and passive aggressive manor. WE WILL NEVER GO THIER AGAIN. My mother says it was the first time she ever experianced treatment like that tell we took my girl friend out to dinner. we where all well dressed but also did see thier was no one in thier with any obviuse phisical disability too.

There is a wide variety of mediocre (or worse) food here. After trying a little of many things, nothing was really good. Fried foods were soft, not crunchy. Fried strips for the soup were stale. Flan wasnt good. Iced cream was icy, not creamy. There wasnt any fish in the "sushi," just immigration crab and cream cheese (and not much of it) in the rolls. General Tsos chicken was bland, although lean. Fried biscuits were not crunchy on the outside. Fruits lacked color and flavor. Noodles inside the spring rolls were dense. Egg rolls seemed wrapped thick. The ribs were hard like wax or plastic. Red Pepper Chicken, Pepper Chicken, and Pepper Steak were all very bland. Clams were VERY small. The sauteed shrimp and sauteed ribs were OK but not great. I went at lunch, and it was disappointing. I wish there were better Chinese buffets on this part of town. Life is too short to settle for mediocre food when you dont have to.

I would give 0 stars and ask for a refund if possible. They have tons of choices, but none of it tastes very good at all. I kept going back to see if there was something that was worth 11.99 and i failed to find anything. Service was aweful. Couldnt get a refill and when our server came by she would not look at us at all. The food had some strange tastes that i could not pin point. The sushi was especially bad, i couldbt even identify some of it and others were just canned tuna in sushi rice. Ive traveled all around the country and have had tons of different chinese buffets but this has to be the worst experience ive ever had. You know when you leave something open in the fridge and it absorbs all the other smells? Thats what their desserts taste like. Save your money and run the other direction

Me and my family were looking for a nice Chinese Buffet today for my sons birthday. Chinese food is his favourite so when we arrived I went in asked to take a look at the buffet and everything looked good so my family came inside. We fix a plate and took one bite of everything on our plates my kids said mom we dont like it. So I immediately let the manager know that we didnt like the food so we were gonna leave and asked if I could just pay half because now we had to go somewhere else to eat. The manager made us pay and was rude about it. So my kids birthday was ruined honestly I never experienced this before but it did teach me a very good lesson. One person taste the food at a new restaurant before the entire family comes so u dont waste $80 bucks again and leave still hungry

I read the yelp reviews and thinking this place would be amaaaazing. But shortly after I tried the Mongolian beef that most reviewers seem to crave about, I thought it was mediocre. The beef and flavor wasnt as savory as I wanted it to be. To be honest, Id rather go to Panda Express than here but it seems that LA doesnt really have any, and since this place is only a few blocks away, I usually come here for my chinese cravings. This place is a hit or a miss so be careful what you order. You sort of have to experiment a bunch of dishes to see which ones you like. For me, I prefer the house special lo me in and house special fried rice. I also never dine in but the people there seem friendly. So thats why I give this place 3 stars instead of 2.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years now. When my father took us the first time, we enjoyed it really much and its been like this for a decade, each time we go we enjoy the food. Just recently the quality of the food has gone down a little but not drastically. Mostly the sushi and deserts. The services has always been great, we get greeted and they get us seated right away if theirs room. Our drinks get filled constantly, and clean up dirty dishes almost right away. My last visit, was on my brothers graduation, and it was pretty packed, but we still managed to get an okay experience, but what bothered a family member of mine was that he saw a roach on the wall, and he lost his appetite.

Having just eaten at a different Chinese buffet, I figured I had a good comparison to Silver Palace. I come here every now and then and the food is always hot and fresh. Im sure much of it has to do with where they are located, but I have yet to be disappointed. Its typical Americanized Chinese buffet food, but its good Americans Chinese buffet food. Where other buffets will have dishes that have been sitting so long they get stale, this place keeps up with the hot and fresh rotation. Really the only thing Im not very fond of is the sushi, but then again, does any buffet have good sushi? If you want sushi, just go to a sushi restaurant. Otherwise, when youre in the mood for typical Chinese buffet, itll hit the spot.

I dont usually eat from a buffet...ANYWHERE. However, since the very first time I walked into Silver Palace, I knew I would be a regular! Its always clean, like really clean. That is the first and foremost important thing for me (OCD and a germophobe). I was there just yesterday and it was very crowded, more so than Ive ever seen, but the food bar was still clean. There were staff members cleaning while standing in the food serve lines to ensure the bar was tidy. The food is always fresh and tastes good, so theres no need to flavor your plate up with salt and pepper. The variety is nice, especially the sushi choices. The fries sole is phenomenal and the egg foo young, when available, is great!
