If you love drinking coffee from inside a random warehouse used as a church under a highway overlooking Downtown Houston, Paper Co. Cafe will be your ultimate fantasy. I came here on a late Sunday because I was getting my car repaired nearby and this was the closest coffee shop to chill and wait at. I had to walk across the train tracks towards a sketch building under the highway, and it didnt occur to me until I got closer that this was the actual coffee shop itself. I only saw a blue door above a walking ramp that lead inside a ghetto warehouse. However, when I got inside, it was like night and day. It had a nice interior, industrial style with plenty of space and tables to get work done. I walked up to the front and really didnt want coffee, so I ordered the Chai Latté ($3.25). I noticed they had other loose leaf teas available as well. Looking around, this coffee shop was inside of Ecclesia Church, which was a bit weird to me since I love to sin and felt like an unwelcome guest. I probably wouldnt come back here for coffee unless I was nearby, but it was nice for what it was and an interesting experience while waiting for my car to be done. They do roast their own coffee beans which is a plus. What I ordered: -Chai Latté ($3.25) Pros: -Although I didnt drive, it looks like plenty of parking in their private lot -Industrial style with unique atmosphere as its literally inside of a warehouse used as a church -Plenty of tables to get work done -Beautiful view of Downtown Houston outside Cons: -Chai was dog crap (Im Indian, shut up), but I will try the coffee or other teas next time

This is probably one of the most interesting coffeeshops Ive been to. It was pretty hard to find the entrance or the place for that matter but it was worth the trouble. The cortado was good and I really liked how open the place was (since its a big warehouse basically). Edit: This place set me on a mission to try the cortado everywhere I could. After trying ten or so different places, this easily sits around the top spot. The cortado is rich and flavorful. It was also served hot and filled to the brim, both of which have been surprisingly lacking at many other places. I definitely enjoy the very open atmosphere as well.

Its great fun taking people to the coffee shop that no one can find! Baristas are always friendly and willing to talk guests through tough coffee ordering choices. They pride themselves on sourcing coffee from responsible suppliers and building a sense of community around their service - maybe because theyre affiliated with the Ecclesia church, with which they share their warehouse location. Also the coffee is quite good. I always wish I had more time to hang around this cool little coffee shop.

A really gem for coffee and writing spaces in Houston. A great neighborhood, intersecting multiple classes and peoples. Im always comfortable with travelers in and go. The folks behind the counter are among the most friendly in Houston. The lunch common meal is fine and a welcome experience to be part of shared food with others. Wifi is strong :). The space brings the huge windows of freeways, downtown skyline, green trees and sky together for a refresh moment for conversation and writing.

I love the environment. The lighting is great. Im a barista and i can tell you that, as far as the proper tools of the trade are concerned, they have em. Their espresso machine is super legit and they have an in-house roaster. The only problems i had with the place is thier location is hard to get to and the syrups arent house made. Other than that, If you want to try some really great Houston coffee, enjoy some Paperco.

This place is known for its responsibly-sourced ingredients and friendly baristas. They really do care about their customers. The last time I went here, the business was slow, so the baristas were actually practicing their lattes! Talk about dedication to an art! Ive heard they plan to roast their own coffee soon, as well as open their own full kitchen. If its as good as the coffee, I will definitely be dining :)

Freshest, perfectly brewed cup of joe in Houston. Great prices, very welcoming and friendly Batistas. High speed, free Wi-Fi, perfect coffeehouse for students to study, meetings, or just a regular fella looking to have an amazing beverage anytime of day. Uber Eats also available here. Make sure and check out the menu for signature items including breakfast and lunch. Hip, Montrose/ Heights type environment.

Super friendly staff and great vibes in this hidden gem. The coffee is great and to my surprise the food was great as well. Very fairly priced. Paper Co is part of Ecclesia Church and donates lunch to area homeless persons. When you are buying coffee or food here, you ate supporting a great program as well. Free wifi and vegetarian/vegan options as well!

Its a cute little coffee shop underneath the highway. I came in on a not so busy day. The roast is made in house next door and the prices are moderate, nothing out of the ordinary. There are only outlets near the wall. The center tables are great for groups, but if youre sitting there to study, you might need to sit near the wall for the outlet.

The concept at Paper Co. is fantastic. For the quality, this is by far the cheapest coffee place in Houston. The outlet situation is a little strange, hopefully they do something about that in the future.... But all in all, the food is filling, the coffee is top notch, and the people are easy-going.

Great cafe and food. Its a modern and spacious environment. They offer free Wi-Fi and some outlets, so it can be good for studying or working. They also help host events which is pretty cool. Personally, the furnishings arent ideal for working on a laptop, but its great for collaboration.

Second time getting a white mocha from here and it is delicious! We went to get lunch after a museum visit on a Saturday and wound up there in the in-between time after lunch and before dinner. I will try to get a meal there another day as I hear it is delicious!

Loved the atmosphere and vibe here. Wonderful service by the baristas. The Ethiopian pour over coffee though was mediocre. I think they roasted the beans as a dark roast which doesnt suit Ethiopian coffee beans. "Texas" French toast was just sub par French toast.

Recent renovation has yielded more seating and good food. Coffee is consistent and delicious. Give this hide out a try. Blue door on back side of Ecclesia church. Indoor and outdoor seating. More offerings on menu, too. Great staff. Always happy to be here.

Great prices, friendly people, quality EVERYTHING. Perfect location with a pleasant view. And only 20 minutes away from the airport (HOU). A great way to get in breakfast with a well roasted coffee or loose leaf tea, before a long day of flying.

Smooth espresso, reasonable prices, comfortable seating, and working WiFi. I would recommend to any friend. Took my special lady for a cup of coffee here and we ended up taking pictures by the graffiti wall next door. Great place for a date!
