I live in Virginia and was visiting Houston for the first time just a few weeks ago. Grindhouse was a convenient mid-point for me and my family to meet a friend who we havent seen in a long time. Not only was the coffee wonderful, but the owner was super kind and helped make our visit together wonderful. The environment is so pleasant for conversation - something that is hard to find these days. Im SO glad we stumbled upon Grindhouse. Our time there as friends was a highlight of our trip, and the kindness expressed by the owner will always be remembered. Thank you!

In Houston, sometimes it feels like good coffee comes with the price of a long wait in line. Unfortunately, many excellent coffee houses have a 15-30 minute wait before you can even order. At Grindhouse, however, the wait is reasonable and the coffee is great. The flavor of a plain latte is sweet and not bitter; no flavors needed. The staff are also friendly and down to earth. The owner is often working behind the counter with his staff. They have been accommodating to my weird coffee preferences as well, and I always feel welcome here. Great coffee house!

Amazing coffee shop! Great customer service and atmosphere. Johnathan was an absolute pleasure and whipped me up the best latte I had ever had in my life! If you havent been here before, youre missing out on quite possibly the greatest coffee shop in all of Texas. I used to think coffee want that great of a beverage, and sandwiches were a sub par food, but after coming to Grind House, I am a changed man. This place changed my life, and I will never look at coffee the same way. Thank you Johnathan and the rest of the Grind House staff!

My wife & I were some of the first customers to go check this place out and we havent stopped going back for more. We always enjoy having lunch at GH. And its always great to see the owner Tony. They love to improve the menu so if they dont have something you want just talk to the staff, maybe next time you show up they will have a specialty item for you. The best local coffee & all of the food is delicious!! I highly recommend the Chicken Salad Sandwich or The Cuban Sandwich

Great space to hang out and get some quick stuff done online. Very friendly staff, from what it looks like they have tons or regulars that they know by name. Feels good to see and receive great customer service. My favorite is the Big Texas Sausage and Cheese Kolache. Prefer the hot drink here due to the iced coffee being prepared already before you order it. Good parking considering most people are to go orders here. Highly recommend this hidden gem on this busy road.

Hours correction: open till 1:30, not 2. This is the best breakfast place in town! The guys are super sweet and friendly and the food is Amazing!!! Jalapeno kolaches have jalapeno stuffed great thick sausages! Its so flavorful and yummy! Great price! Donuts are fresh. The maple bacon fritter bites are just incredible! All the great food and great customer service and on top of that they donate food to the church nearby everyday! So happy to have found this place!!!

Best service, best chai tea and BEST kolaches! My husband said the jalapeño, cheese and sausage ones are the best hes ever had. They have yummy fritter bites as well and really good paninis at lunch. Tony, the owner, Johnathan and everyone else are so fun and friendly, I always look forward to going up there!

Wow!! Met Tony and staff everyone had a smile on their face and were happy to serve. Donuts were original and tasted better than a lot of donuts that ive had in a while. Very clean. I was able to get an outstanding amount of work done just because of the environment. I throughly enjoyed myself.

Great Service, great food, amazing Coffee! They are so nice here plus the small cafe vibe is great for sending a few emails over a cup of coffee. Definitely worth driving an extra 20 min Instead of going to your chain kolochie shop.

Love their blueberry/strawberry fritters. The jalapeno sausage kolaches have the perfect amount of kick to them and the iced coffees are some of the best Ive had. Ive not tried a thing I dont like. Keep up the great food guys!!

This is some of the best coffee Ive had outside the home. Plus who can pass up free donuts. The mini-kolaches are great too. Even though SBs is closer to me their coffee is worth the extra little drive.
