I love this restaurant. Ive been there twice during lunchtime. First time I got the chicken masala with vegetables and rice. Love the chicken masala! Love the rice!! The vegetables were a little spicy with curry for my tastes but that is because I dont like spicy. The naan was the best Ive ever had hands down. They make it themselves fresh everyday!!! The second time I went I got the tandoori chicken with rice and chic peas. Again the veggie was a little too spicy for me. The tandoori chicken wasnt what I expected since it wasnt served with yogurt sauce on it. And be warned!!! The green sauce they do serve it with is extra hot. I got garlic naan that time and it came out fresh out of the clay pot. Soooo good!!! The owners have had this place since october 12 and they are always very friendly and attentive to us. Only negative I may have is that the lunch buffet does only have three types of meat everyday. But you can order from the menu if you want variety. I would and do highly recommend.

I already had some food before I walked in to this place. I just wanted some samosas to fill up rest of my hunger but once I looked at those samosas I didnt really feel like putting those through my taste buds. Nothing against it but didnt look that it came out fresh from the kitchen, maybe fridge and microwave yes. All the chicken curries looked pretty good but I decided to pick up vegetable platter for $4.99 plus taxes (chicken platter for $5.99 plus taxes). It came with two vegetable items and rice (no Nan). I spent less the first time so that I can get good feeling about the food without spending too much. Food tasted like any other buffet places that I have ever tried. This food wont encourage my Indian friends but it will fly through the american community. Again, I cant complain about the food for the money that I spent. If I were to add Nan then it was a dollar extra. Next time I will try chicken platter with Nan...Lets see if it earns more respect in terms of taste.

The worst food i ever ate. Please never go to this place even if it is the last restaurant left on earth. Bad food, Bad service, and the most important to know this is NOT A BUFFET.....they say its a buffet but its not...example they will give you daal or curry in small bowl and charge you for each bowl...then if you want to have a refill, you pay again...so does it look like a buffet to you???????NO........they will give you Naan options like Garlic, butter etc....whatever you select, they will just go into the kitchen, take out frozen naan packs, put it in microwave to defrost and then serve it to you. Just letting everyone know about this Sh.... place so that no one else waste their time/money.

Found this little gem while out in the area training. I have to say that this is a very unassuming restaurant upon first look. However once inside your treated to exceptional service and food. The food was hot and tasted fresh. I believe it was the the manager or owner that came around with fresh naan as well. Its $9.99 plus tax for the lunch buffet and a complimentary drink. The price was great for such superb food and service. Ill be back any chance I get.

Its the worst indian food I have ever had... the spread is very little .. chicken and veg fried rice put together (veggies beware).. desserts are crap , I had gulab jamun which were harder than a golf bill ... if u are ever in this area and wanting to eat indian food please dont go here.. I dont rate restaurants often... but Im so disappointed that Im writing this review sitting in the restaurant.. and all this for 13$$

Discovered this little jewel near my office today. Had Tikki Marsala; garlic naan; saag paneer; white lentils and tea. Everything was fresh and cooked with just the right amount of spices. Even the tea had a slight anise flavor. Very good and worth the $11. I know how expensive Indian spices are, so Im not complaining... Also, enough food for leftover.

The food is pretty straightforward. Not too expensive if youre actually paying attention to what is all involved in a dish. The service was adequate, though only the gentleman seemed to interact with the patrons. Being in the NW, theres not many options when it comes to Indian food. So in a pinch I would go there. But its not "wow food."

First of all, the buffet is the only thing I will be reviewing as I have not had any of their menu items. Buffet = gross. I have had good good Indian food in 3 different countries so I know my Indian food. This stuff was crap and if you eat there that is the only thing you will get from it, the craps. Stay away.

The management has changed not the food. I had lamb curry, rice and mango drink lahashi or something. The Mango drink is out if this world, the curry was ok, lamb was not. Would not come again, over priced and not good. If you want some what decent indian food, check out Nirvana on Memorial.

Buffet area was small as compared to Bombay Brasserie. The staff was friendly but everything was get it yourself. No real service, so for cafeteria style eating with small selection of food. I will not be returning to this place in the future. Also the seating is very tight.

Great food, very tasty and quickly came to our table. The servers were friendly and always there to clear dishes or refill drinks. The one thing I would like is if they had a sample platter with several different dishes as Id like to try more of what they offer.

We went in for lunch, which they do cafeteria style. The food was excellent and the portions just the right size. They take orders for carry out, and were definitely planning to go back for dinner at some point.

Their lunch buffet is one of the best in the Houston area! The food variety is fresh and delicious, and the price is very reasonable. Cafe India is definitely on my list of top Indian restaurants in Houston.

Very good food. Apparently, the restaurant had changed owners. Im guessing that is why this place had so many bad reviews in the past. Well, it tastes great now. Jersey village needs a little culture.
