June 19: 2015: My partner in crime and I stopped in one weeknight a few weeks ago for drinks. The pregnant hostess must have not been feeling well since she was unfriendly and looked pained or ill. Our server made up for that awkward initial encounter and even though we ended up moving to the bar (its just where we usually sit, but there were no spot available upon our arrival) she was understanding. Bar service was ok. We had 2 or 3 drinks then left. UPDATE - On June 22, 2015, I received an email from Ashley S. of Grapevine regarding my review of Chill. Its been posted below: (I edited it for content.) The pregnant girl in which you spoke of in your useless comments was very much in pain. She works nearly 40 hours a week in a hot ass bar to support herself and save money for her baby in which will be arriving very soon. During your 8th month of pregnancy, you should understand that having a baby and all the extra water weight is EXTREMELY uncomfortable, so was she pained? Most likely, and quite frankly, after being up on her feet all day, having contractions all night because she so close to labor, I would expect any woman to be fairly uncomfortable and quite unfriendly. I mean, have you seen laboring women? Last time I checked, its pretty difficult and hard to deal with, but she dealt with disrespectful people, such as yourself, all day and was still trying to make it to the end of her shift. You and the other disrespectful a@@holes caused her to quit her job. I hope you feel good about yourself... UPDATE - On August 24, 2015: My partner in crimes co-worker was leaving the country and had the misfortune of choosing Chill to gather at for a farewell get-together with friends. Had it not been for this, we NEVER would have returned - per our previous visit and 1 of their now ex-employees trolling myself and other Yelp reviewers. When we arrived, most of the group was there and as we sat down, the server promptly picked up the check the previous patrons left on our table. She did not ask us for our drink order and she didnt even acknowledge us. I made sure to make notes about the evening to see if there had been any improvements. There were not. It was exactly 10 minutes from the time she picked up the previously mentioned check until we were able to order - which my date HAD to get her attention as she went to the table behind us 3 times and completely ignored us. The first 2 rounds of drinks were good, but the next round was watered down. I dont know if they intentionally do that or if its because our drinks sat at the bar waiting for our server so long that the ice melted. Either way, there was a vast difference. I noticed the order runner was mixing up the food and delivering to the wrong tables. More than once. Too many mistakes. Still horrible service. Over priced and watered down drinks. Last month we read a fluff piece on Chill in the local newspaper. It was obviously misleading.

WARNING!! THESE PEOPLE WILL OVER CHARGE YOU!! We went to this place because our friend had a birthday there. Even though we were sitting at a table by ourselves my wife and I were charged a 30.00 gratuity. They said since we were associated with the birthday girl we were charged for a group gratuity fee. On top of that they charged us for 14 mixed drinks for my wife when she only had 7. They claimed we asked for doubles. My wife has never ordered a double in her life. If she had drank 7 doubles she sure as hell wouldnt have been able to walk out of there. So either they over served her or they padded the tab for about 40.00. On top of all that this place was way over crowded, the sound system sucked, The service was slow and the drinks were wrong 80% of the time. The only good thing I can say is the fried Pickles were the best I have ever had. I called and spoke to Julia about this issue. At first she seemed like she was going to help until she found out I disputed the charges on my credit card. Then she just stopped answering my calls. I plan on making a complaint to the better business Bureau for the padding of the tab, Im calling the TABC about the over serving, and Im calling the fire Marshall about the over crowding. Julia, you had your chance to make this right. I am not some scam artist that goes around not paying for things I owe. Your bar flat out ripped me off and I will not dissappear that quietly.

I have had the worst bar experience in my life at Chill Bar Grapevine TX. The waitress with whom I had my tab, at the end of the evening, tried to include on my tab some $70 worth of drinks that I did not order. (She earlier had been lamenting numerous walked tabs that eve) When I refused to pay for the un-accounted for drinks, the manager (John) came and accused me of being too drunk to remember ordering the items. (I wasnt drunk in the least, as I like to drive myself home legally) He then called me a "Scam Artist" and threatened to call the cops. I told him that I would love to speak to the cops, at which point he offered to let me pay half of the bill instead of the full amount. I refused to pay anything except what I ordered, and he finally accepted saying "I dont have enough time to deal with people like you." (Keep in mind, these are the folks trying to justify my paying for considerably more that I ordered, and calling me a crook for not agreeing) I paid my due, and left to jeers and cat calls from the staff. I dont intend to go back again, and I urge you to take very close account of your tab when you request it. But remember, there are plenty of other places to go in Grapevine that are nicer and more comfortable than this one.

I opened a tab on my debit card, and only purchased 3 drinks, they tried to charge me for an additional 8!! When I told the bartender that I did not order those he said that he would have to ask the manager to take them off and it would take a while, and then asked if I just wanted to pay for it all instead!! I told him NO im only paying for the 3 drinks i consumed...which only totaled $16, not the $52 they were trying to charge me!! He fixed it, i signed for the $16 and low and behold today I check my account, and they BOTH came out!!!! One for $52, and one for $16!!! I took it up with my bank, and they refunded it....DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!! ONLY USE CASH IF YOU STILL INSIST ON GOING THERE!

This place should not call itself a restraunt . Chose to visit this place on a first date because not many places were open on sunday past 9. The title said Chill "Restaurant" and bar. But it was hardly a restaurant and was actually a sports bar. there wasnt a hostess which is okay.. but no one greeted us or said a word to us. Aside from the person standing behind behind bar, we couldnt really tell who worked there and who was a customer. After standing for a couple minutes decided seat ourselves. After sitting for a couple of minutes and no one coming to check on us we had plenty of time to googlemaps other places and ended up eating elsewhere.
