"CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE" Some friends and I discovered the Cake Bar a few weeks ago after having dinner in the area. Upon arrival the smell of the fresh baked cakes and variety seemed as of we had arrived in "Cake Heaven". The varieties were plenty as all the selection looked delicious and fresh. I opted for the slice of Neapolitan with ice cream. It was tasty and scrumptious and I was not disappointed. I decided to order a friends cake from the Cake Bar since I wanted to share this deliciousness with everyone I know. I called in last week on 08/13/2015 and ordered the Strawberry Cake as it looked fresh and delicious while I was there the week before. The woman over the phone took my order and I prepaid over the phone. The party started at 7:00 pm this past Friday on 08/14/2015 and as I was coming from Fort Worth so I admittingly was in a rush. I walked in to the busy Bakery and told the man I was there to pick up my cake. I gave him my name and he went and retrieved the order. Before I walked out he wanted to inspect the cake however I told him I was sure it was fine and there was no need to open the box. MISTAKE #1. Upon fighting Dallas traffic to arrive on time to the party something prompted me to look into the box. I was shocked to find there was no topping on the cake. I called the Bakery and was advised that the topping should have been placed on the cake upon pick up. She apologized and asked that I return with the cake so they could correct the issue. I advised her it was not an option since I was 15 miles or more away and had a Birthday Party to host. Needless to say we served the cake only to be disappointed that it was stale and flavorless as well. Most of our 12 guest left there slices on their plates and questioned all the awesome reviews I had been giving this place prior. I will say that I should of allowed the man to check the box however I dont take the blame as I dont know there policies when it comes to cakes being full decorated or not upon pick up. I do feel as if this may be an isolated incident however I feel as if the Owner should have called me back personally to apologize and make the situation right. Im not sure if I will return only because this was an embarrassment and waste of $43.00 dollars. My hope is that the Owner whom Ive spoken with twice will slow down and remind herself and staff that consistency is key. Just because you have a good product you cant never let go of the consistency of quality.

I went to the cake bar a couple of weeks ago. My guy friend had bought me a slice from them; it was so delicious I had to go back. The red velvet is to die for. This would be a FIVE star rating had it not been for the TALL LADY WITH THE GRAY HAIR. Why do they allow this lady to do customer service? She obviously hates the world. I asked a simple question about a flavor of cake, she pointed me to the wall and said all the types of cakes are up on the wall with an attitude. I smiled, paid for my cake and left. I hate to give the entire business a bad rating, as the cakes are very good, but customer service is very important. Besides its a CAKE business, shouldnt everyone be happy??? They really need to have a more pleasant lady in the front, who doesnt mind answering questions, people are going to ask questions. The fact that this is a BLACK OWNED BUSINESS, I just wished they wouldnt have an ANGRY BLACK WOMAN IN THE FRONT!!! Its so cliché. But note to all the other customers that go there, ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT MEAN, and ALL BLACK WOMEN DO NOT HAVE ATTITUDES AS DISPLAYED IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I hope they do better, because I really do enjoy their cakes!!!

Yesterday my sister and I went to Trinty Groves to try the Cake Bar and I must say these cakes are by far the worst cakes I have ever tasted!!!! They are extremely dry!!! I purchased a 5 inch lemon cake and a 5 inch red velvet cake and I must say the sponge of both cakes seemed to be a week old. The frosting seems very artificial. We were unable to finish either cake...there goes my $28 down the drain. Even though I had a bad experience with the cakes that was not the worse part, the customer service from the older black lady with the gray hair was very offensive!!!. She had a problem/attitude with me asking the flavors of the cakes when they were clearly not marked. I mean really how the hell can a person tell if a cake is red velvet or just a plan yellow cake if they both have white frosting on the outside??.....to the people of Cake Bar please get your crap together... stop selling stale/day old cakes and fix the attitude......I wish I could post the pictures I took of these cakes thrown in the trash

Customer Service -Why have email if you will not respond? I went into your store today for cookies. Not only were there very few cookies, there were no white chocolate macadamia. The person in the store told me in her most polite voice ( but rude words ), “Not in this life time will this store ever make white chocolate macadamia cookies again.” This flavor is clearly on the wall outside the store and on the website. I am very disappointed in the customer service. Cookies are advertised, but must be pre-ordered if you want more than just a few. Dont go in and expect to buy a dozen cookies. They need to update their information on the product they provide.

I bought two cake for mothers day.. I paid for extra pecans ..they canceled my order rung it up again in order for me to pay the five extra dollars.. I ask them why would you go through all that trouble when u will hold them until I pay... needless to say my order was incorrect The older black lady ,tall with gray hair is rude beyond any Ive ever experienced in a business. All I can say is we as patrons has made them lose all humility.. they are rude and to proud . The cake slices are from older cakes they didnt sell that why they are dry as hell. The icing is from bakemart. Not home made ... worst service experience I have ever had....will never go back...

My experience here was not so pleasant. A relative purchased a key cake that was delicious. However, I went back and purchased a slice of yellow cake and strawberry cake. I took the cakes to Louisiana so my mother could taste it. The cakes was very stale and not moist at all. I chose not to say anything but when it was brought to my attention after she taste it, I called the Cake Bar. The manager inform me the had 900 orders that day and there was nothing she could do about 1 complaint. No customer service at all. I will be going back to Nothing but Bundt which I have already!!
