We had dinner and it was fabulous. As a vegan without gluten it is challenging to find really wonderful choices. In every category they had something I could eat. My friend has been going here for years and always gets Chicken Picatta. She got this again and she decided my eggplant with vegetable entree was much tastier! So if youre vegetarian or vegan or just someone who enjoys good food and knowledgeable staff, this is the place for you. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about all the questions we had, made recommendations and even wrote down the ingredients to a certain spice used in a dish we ate. This is the place were going to take visitors to the city, because we know there will always be something there we can eat and enjoy and our guests will have an easy time of finding something they will enjoy as well. THANKS

My boyfriend and I started out with the crabmeat croquettes as an appetizer, fantastic. Was a bit disappointed in my "medium rare"Hanger steak, as it was far more rare than it was medium. I can deal with a rare steak though, so i ate it anyway. Everything was pleasant until my boyfriend said that he had clearly witnessed an employee picking inside of their mouth inside the kitchen. I work in a restaurant, i understand that things arent as sanitary and pristine as people expect/imagine them to be; but our table placed us facing directly toward the open kitchen window, where we were subject to the sight of human error. After seeing this, my rare steak didnt sit so well :(. We were already redeeming a Groupon, so I felt it would be cheap of me to address the manager. Its unfortunate that i left feeling so repulsed :/

34th St Cafe is a place that shouldnt exist. Its in an awkward location (right off N Lamar on its own little island of space). Its bright green building may be its saving grace to get it noticed. That said, once youre in, you are transported to a moderately upscale restaurant with a quiet, but not stuffy, atmosphere. They have an awesome happy hour: half price apps and discounted drinks. My wife and I ate there and just took down the appetizer menu. The food is tasty, including the gnocchi and mussels. We got a great cheese plate too with a Manchego, Gorgonzola, and one other medium hardness that I cant remember. The staff was very attentive and personable without being too pushy or over the top. We like this hidden gem, and hope it can stick around despite its strange location.

This is a nice little place where you can grab a decent lunch during the work week. Their Italian sandwich is pretty large as its the size about an old discman, that is if youre old enough to know what that is, if not, Google it. Itll be good to for you to know what came before the iPod. Itll add culture into your life, albeit pop. Anyways, their fries are crispy and just fried perfectly in my book. My only regret is that I dont work in the area, otherwise I would frequent it more to try their other options like their venison pizza.

One of my favorite lunch spots. Out of the different specials they feature during the week, the meatloaf and chicken piccata are especially delicious. The peach tea is better than most. The manager is super friendly and accommodating, he goes out of his way to make sure you feel welcome and stay happy. I read that they have a new executive chef, so I’m excited to try out some of the new menu additions next time I go.

I love to eat at this place. Nice healthy choices (the salads are awesome). I love the salad with grilled salmon and the Hack salad. The chicken picatta (a blue plate special) was very good. The vegetables are fresh and cooked perfectly to my taste. And the desserts, OMG. so worth the calories! The location is good, the atmosphere is good and the staff seemed very friendly.

This is a wonderful little spot for lunch with great daily specials and amazing customer service. Everyone here goes out of their way to provide the best dining experience while always keeping it genuine. The food is very enjoyable and my co-workers and I tried to make time to stop in on a regular basis while we were working in town. Well miss this place!

If you want to be treated like youre not good enough and sit on plastic chairs, then you should go to this place. I will admit that the food tastes pretty good; but I had foil in my salad and I got treated terribly by my waiter. There are other places in Austin where the food is good, they have a non-ikea claim to stlye, and a great staff.

I attended an event today catered by 34th Street Cafe. I couldnt help but go back for seconds for more Chinese Hack Salad (just the right touch of sweet with a spicy kick at the end) and another quarter of a veggie sandwich. So much flavor! They are top on my list to visit for lunch one day this week!

This is a small boutique restaurant with a sterile modern feel and a high-end ambition. The wine is universally overpriced and the food, which extremely tasty (the bread is exquisite), comes in small portions. Come here with an expectation for good service, but not with an appetite

Nice atmosphere, great food. You order and then sit and they bring it to your table. We had the veggie sandwich, the reuben and the chinese chicken salad. All very good. Servers came and gave us drink refills and checked on us to make sure everything was okay. Well be back.

They are limited in their selection, but they have great sandwiches and service is quick. Kind of fast paced though, if youre looking for something low key.

This place is the worst food I have ever had. Dont even try out. Food cold, found dead fly in food. Owner very rude. BAD Place
