We were travellers for the eclipse, for background. I am also in the barbecue business, as a supplier to competition teams, for full disclosure. I dont cook, rather I supply ingredients to people who do cook BBQ. I give this five stars, with a few caveats. First, the only item that is actually BBQ is the brisket. Nothing else is cooked using "low and slow smoke". For example, the pulled pork would properly be called "roasted pork", not BBQ, but I understand why the term barbecue is being used...the nuance is lost on most customers. For what its worth, there is a disclaimer printed on the back of the menu, which I did see before ordering. I dont mind roasted meat, but I do like to know before I order. As for the taste of the pork, it was very good, with a solid pork flavor, and nicely seasoned. Wherever they source their meats, be it Sams Club or a local butcher, they should stick with the source! Good pork and beef flavor in the meat. You dont always get that. As for the brisket, it was cooked well, but far too much smoke. My advice is to either wrap it or put it in the roaster before it gets a coating of creosote. Still, it was quite good, because, like ice cream, even when its bad, its still pretty good. It wasnt bad, just too much smoke for my liking. Id say it was cooked perfectly except for the intense smoke flavor. I couldnt put my finger on it, but it was either oak or mesquite, unless it was something else Im not familiar with. I dont like mesquite, which might also be the issue. Too much oak can taste similar to just the right amount of mesquite. Whatever the flavor, it was just too much, in my opinion. YMMV. I thought the sides were the star of the show, honestly. We had cole slaw and fried pickles. They were both excellent. They were better than the meats, actually, and the sauces were excellent, too. Nothing weird or unique, just well-balanced in the "Tennessee Red" style. Simple, but good. A perfect match for the pork. I really liked the sauces, both mild and hot. There was also an option "with smoke" which I thought was a nice touch...clearly labeled as having smoke flavor added, so you had your choice. Service was excellent. My highest marks on that, and another reason I give a five star review. I didnt have to ask for an extra drink, and the young lady who waited on us had the perfect demeanor and answered my questions about the cooking method perfectly, even getting the owner (I presume?) involved. Ambiance was nice. Typically, BBQ shacks are kind of like a picnic lunch in a state park. This is an actual restaurant. Comfortable seating, clean, nice. So, in summary, nice roasted pork, decent brisket, excellent sides, good ambiance and five-star service. I recommend this over any chain restaurant if youre travelling.

Moved to White House, and being a native Texan, my first order of business is finding a BBQ spot. This aint it. I only had the pulled pork, but thats all you need to judge for a BBQ place. Its BBQ 101, and if you cant get that right, well.... So I brought 1 lb home, opened the box, grabbed a big ol piece....and preceded to almost choke myself. Ive never had pulled pork this dry and bland. Im not kidding when I say this, but it tastes like leftover Thanksgiving turkey thats been sitting on the counter all day. There is not one bit of smoke flavor in the meat. Zero. Completely flavorless. The sauce is also strange. Actually has a strong honey taste....not just the sweet, but the actual taste of honey. Its weird. Now, I may return to try some of the "regular" food on menu, but this is no BBQ joint. I grew up in BBQ Mecca (Texas Hill Country), and this BBQ would not be fit to be served by a school cafeteria. So, I guess my search continues. (And for goodness sakes, get the AC fixed or installed or whatever, its 100 degrees outside, no one wants to eat in a hot restaurant....)

I dont know about what most people are talking about with their positive reviews the BBQ, ribs and chicken are terrible no smoke or flavor I guess its steamed or something the sauce was weak and bland I went there on Monday cause Perrys was closed and got a few things to try from there limited selection only thing I would recommend would be the BBQ nachos or macho nachos if you like canned beans

THE WORST BARBEQUE MY WHOLE FAMILY HAS EVER HAD!!! LIKE MOST OF THE REVIEWERS SAID, "BLAND, NO SMOKEY FLAVOR, NO SEASONING IN THE MEAT." IT IS AWFUL! THE SAUCE IS WATERY AND BLAND. THE NACHOS ARE TORTILLA CHIPS NOT HOMEMADE POTATO CHIPS. VERY POOR EXCUSE FOR BBQ. AND IF YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR FOOD YOUR TOLD SORRY YOU DIDNT LIKE IT. ****BRING BACK UNCLE DUDES!!!!

This place has improved over the years. I think partly due to competition from Colorado Grill. We had the grilled pork chops daily special and it was really good and reasonable. I had the corn nuggets which have always been great. The tea is good too and banana pudding is a great treat for the end of the meal. If you do not like banana pudding the mud pie is great.

Service is great. Were here every Monday and the staff usually has our drink orders memorized and handles our orders with no problem at all. If you like spicy bbq sauce, ask for the "Creeper" sauce, they dont put it on the table with their other sauces. The large baked potato is huge! I recommend it with pulled pork and bacon.

Place just cant get it right. but Ive learned my lesson this time. Everytime we get a to go order they screw it up and dont care one bit at all. Uncooked fish is a big deal. After leaving a review before I was threatened by the owners son. So I removed it but not this time going to let everyone know exactly how I feel. done

Being from Memphis I can tell you the BBQ is...not that bad, which I guess is the best you can expect around here! Try the cheese steak sandwich, it was great. Service could be better, and for crying out loud- get real lemons!!! Nobody wants that squeeze juice junk in their tea!

I cant rate their Bar B Que because I have not had it. I dont like Bar B Que, but I still like the Bar B Que Place. All of the food I have had here has been very good at fair prices with good service. I highly recommend trying out the Bar B Que Place.

My husband went through the drive thru and they left out our brisket. He went back up there to get what they left out and they were absolutely rude and hardly gave us what we paid for. We will not be going back.

Ugh ! Worst BBQ Ive ever experienced. Pulled pork was dry and flavorless. Ribs were saucy and somewhat under cooked....and again, no flavor. No dry ribs available either.

After receiving drinks, waited 40 minutes for food but it never came. No one ever checked on us or explained the delay. We decided to leave without eating. One and done.
