there was a time when my family loved this place. good food, good atmosphere, good people. that ship has sailed. we havent gone there in a while because honestly, there always seemed to be a problem with something. Overcooked (burned) chicken strips, steak that tasted like a dirty and burnt grill, appetizers that were soggy with grease. Regardless of that, we decided to give it another shot. The first thing that was kind of a turnoff was the fact that there was absolutely no one in the place. The waitresses were all sitting at a table in the lobby with a friend or co-worker, who herself had stuff from Sonic. We were seated and drink orders were taken with an appetizer order placed. When the appetizer came out I asked for saucers so we could all share. our waitress went and got us some and brought them to our table. As I started to dole out the food I noticed that the saucer on top was dirty, so I set it to the side. No biggie. The second saucer was also dirty. As was the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. And I dont mean like a "speck or smudge". It was almost like they were used and wiped off half hazardly and thrown to the clean stack. I then asked for clean saucers because who wants to eat some random persons leftovers? when we went to order our meals, all 6 of us were going to get steak. even the kids. theyre priced well and for the most part taste pretty good too. They. Were. Out. Completely. I get it. You run out of something. Totally understandable. But let the customer know upfront so they can decide, BEFORE placing drink and appetizer orders, if they want to stay. Everyone had to regroup and because we had already gotten our drinks and appetizer and dirty plates, we settled for something else even though we didnt want it. After that, we all honestly felt like we were being rushed. Weve eaten here many many times and have NEVER had a waitress clear plates as soon as the last bite was taken. One person done, plate gone. It was nice to have been so attended to, but lets be real... with the looks we were getting from the staff and the overly attentiveness of the waitress and the "do you want your check now?" before everyone was finished.... it was clear we needed to leave. I hope not to offend or upset anyone but this visit was a catastrophe.

Went there today with my wife and it was awesome. It was her first time and my third. I love the atmosphere, service, food, and prices. My wife was very surprised that such a good restaurant existed but is rarely talked about. We started off with the pickle chips and ranch which were delicious! She ordered the catfish diner plate with okra and green beans for the sides. Im allergic to seafood but it looked good enough to risk a bite. I had the hot chicken dinner and it is hands down the best hot chicken I have had in the area. Service was fast, staff was friendly, food was great, and price was more than fair for the big servings. We left with to go plates because we couldnt eat it all. Its a 30 minute drive for me to get there but Ill do it again without hesitation. If youve never been, you better go!

I relied on the review but disappointed. Food is good but very slow service. Our server is very nice but their supervisor is not. The drive to go here is out of the way. Not worth the time and money. We couldve just eaten somewhere else. Food is not something you would want to come again. We ordered the sirloin salad, rice pilaf(salty) and catfish with fried okra. Their roll is very good!

We took our daughter and 5 grandchildren here after a trip to the Nashville science museum. (We are from Nebraska). Very impressed! Great portions and excellent prices. The kids had huge kids baskets. The hot chicken is, yes, very hot but very good according to my husband. I loved the sweet potato fries. Everyone enjoyed the fried pickle chips too.

I have eaten at the diner numerous times. The staff is always friendly and service prompt. Ive had everything on the menu and all is great. My favorite is the patty melt and the chicken and waffles are awesome. Even the steak dinner is yummy at a great price. I always spend under $10 so a great place to go when on a budget

This place is amazing! It is so worth the drive if you dont live in the area. Its all about comfort food! We tried the fried pickles, okra, chicken tenders, fried roll, Turnip greens, and strawberry roll dessert. It was all amazing! The prices are very reasonable 8.99 for a huge plate of chicken tenders and sides.

This place was so good! I was passing through the area on a long drive and decided to stop for lunch. I couldnt believe how tasty everything was and inexpensive, too. I sat at the counter and watched the cooks make my food right there. I will definitely stop in again if I am in the area.

I really think this is a great family restaurant. Great food! The prices are better than most chain restaurants. The service was excellent. I had an awesome cheeseburger, and my husband had grilled chicken over rice. This was our first visit and it will definitely not be our last.

Love this place! One of those great local eateries. Great food and great service. Fabulous traditional diner fare (the buffalo chicken strips are a must), but the steaks are amazing too! Saturday night prime rib and Thursday night smoked chicken wings. Soooo good.

got the blt and fried okra was expecting a little more pizzazz and jazz, but it was pretty basic run of the mill sandwich. so plain it almost tasted like a piece of paper one day they will learn the art of sandwiches, but its not today.

Great food at a good price! You have to try their chicken & waffles. Not your thing? Try their new hot chicken, for not being a "hot chicken" place my husband was impressed!!! We will be back, and not just because its convenient!

The best diner you can find! Food is always fresh and flavorful. Menu has excellent regular & rotating items. The owner knows what he is doing, and the staff is great - not to mention the cooks! I come here often.

The experience over all was good, but the price is outrageous. It cost $60 for a family of 5 to eat. Itll prob b our last time eating there. You can go to a buffet for less than we paid.

Ran out of hotdogs and told after the waitress went back and submitted our order. Kids were all excited for hotdogs for lunch. They didnt care for the other options.
