Horrible experience. I called for take out on my lunch break Friday afternoon and was told 15 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later and walked in to find a family ahead of me waiting to be sat and no host/employees in sight. After someone finally came out, they told the party ahead of me that they would have to wait dispite the reastuarant being close to empty with approx. 6 tables sat. I then told them that I placed a take out order and the host went to the back to check. After never coming back out, a waitor noticed I had been standing around waiting and asked if I was helped. I explained to him and then he disappeared and never came back out. Then two managers walked out from the back and asked again if I had been helped and I again exaplined. The manager went to the back and yet again, never came back. The host finally came back out and at this point and told me "60 seconds!" There was a line of people waiting to be sat at this point that had come into the restaurant. I told the host ok, but that I would have to leave if it wasnt out soon because I was on my lunch and had now wasted over 30 minutes of my hour lunch. Needless to say, no one ever came out or brought my food, so I left 5 minutes later because I had to find a plan B for lunch before I had to be back to the office. I rarely review and have only reviewed incredible experiences previously, but I was appauled by the service and my experience at this restaurant and would hate for someone else to waste their time and energy here. In downtown Nashville there are so many other incredible options, so dont even waste your time.

We were celebrating our 25th, and had dated at some of the original OSFs in Newport Beach, Ca. 25 years ago. This was on a whim, as we thought it would be really fun to remember some of the dates and times. Unfortunately we ended walking out after 20 minutes of being ignored and not having water, bread, wine, or anything at the table. - The young girl at the desk obviously didnt know how to smile or greet a customer. - seated (even with reservations) at a bar side table, right next to a standing group of business men into their drinks. Not terribly romantic to sit next to loud guy ass. - The waiter didnt have the table set (napkins, water, etc), even after we requested several items. - finally brought water, but forgot the wine we ordered after 15 minutes. never did get it. - finally brought salad. when we asked about bread (several other tables had multiple servings by then) we were told he didnt have room on the tray... next trip. - my wife, who doesnt like conflict, agreed wed bail. of course the manager fell over himself saying hed make it right. Sorry, you have ONE chance to do it right. I dont reward a place by making them scramble to make it right when it should have been there in the first place. Its not hard. Lots of places do good customer service. Terribly terribly failed. We ventured down the street, hit up Urban Spoon, and went to Demos. Wonderful recovery and a great meal, service, everything. Saved the night.

I will admit the historic building and interior decor are lovely. The place is nothing short of beautiful. But that is about as far as the positive review goes. Our waitress, while pleasant, was incompetent. My fiance ordered sweet tea, she brought him unsweet. When he informed her it took her 15 minutes to bring him a fresh glass, and it was hot. So obviously they made it fresh, but she never informed us of this and that it would be a wait. Just left us sitting with nothing to drink. The salads were decent and the vinegrettehad good flavor. But she got my finances order wrong. She also forgot our appetizer order until after the main meal had already been brought to us. The pasta was chewy, the meat grainy, and none of it had any flavor. We barely ate half of the meal and only one bite of the late arriving appetizer. Usually we bring leftovers back with us, but it was all so unappetizing we just left it. And its not like the place was terribly busy either. Just total incompetence from the staff and tasteless cardboard food. No onion, no garlic, no seasoning at all. A lean cuisine or similar meal would have tasted better and certainly cost less. We definitely wont be back!

Made reservation, but still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Hostess was not anywhere to be found. Finally seated, waited 17 minutes before a server even approached our table. Ordered our drinks, waited another 15 minutes before we got our drinks....which was brought to our table by the actual bartender and NOT our server. Twenty minutes later, we ordered. It took 35 minutes for our COLD food to arrive. We were NEVER offered an opportunity to order more drinks or refills. I had to physically walk over to the server and ask for our check. Once he printed it off and brought it to our table, again...15 minutes went by and again I walked my bank card over to the server so I could pay and get out. The worse part is they WERE NOT busy. Out of the whole resturant, there were only six tables occupied (us being one of them). It was on a Wednesday evening and they were dead. I can now see why. They dont EVER have to worry about us returning.

First off, there were 12 people in my party for my husbands birthday and we had one waiter. That wouldnt have been an issue but he seemed extremely overwhelmed. He took forever to bring things out or forgot to bring things all together. Then I finally get my food and one, its cold and two there is hardly any sauce on my pasta. So I ask for more sauce. After about 10 minutes, I get more sauce, add it to my dish and after a few bites I put it into a to go box. So here I am warming up my leftovers and I take a bite and almost break a tooth on something hard. I spit it out and there is a large piece of broken glass (or really hard plastic) in my hand!!!! So not only did I not enjoy my meal in your establishment but then I get home and almost injure myself trying to eat leftovers. I will NEVER come back. Dont waste your time. Go to Demos on Third. Better food, better service, better prices.

Waited 30 minutes at lunch for a table. Short staffed and rude! Never asked if meal was ok or did we need anything. I asked for light sauce on noodles and it was swimming in sauce, sent it back and manager I assume came and asked what was wrong. I informed him and he said 6 oz of sauce is served with meal. I asked to take it back and Give me sauce on side. I was informed Id have to pay for 3 ozs of sauce. Just not impressed at all. Asked for more bread and 25 minutes later got it. I was asked by family where I wanted to go for my birthday lunch I requested old spegtti factory. BIG MISTAKE!! Service was terrible. My son and daughter in law and 2 yr granddaughter went out to street cause the baby was a bit fussy and got locked out. Ive been coming here for years but they never have to worry about me walking through their doors again.
