My boyfriend and I normally like this place..but today was an awful experience. We came in and got stared at like we were aliens. We waited for them to clean a booth (which is totally fine and I get it) sat down and waited several minutes before being greeted, and in that time considered leaving right there. We should have. The server asked for our drink order and wasnt seen again for 10 minutes. We had our order ready to go when he finally came back and told him. He left, seemingly to put in the order and after 10 more minutes came back to ask us our order again. We were super hungry and usually get quick service but..man..wed been there for 30+ minutes at this point. He finally came by with soup and salad..thankfully. Then our sushi, all the while having a terribly rude attitude with us after multiple thank yous and polite attempts at conversation. Our hibachi came after a while and we were fed up with the lack of service but hungry and desperate even though the steak and chicken were rubbery and rice was sub-par. We wont be back..any Japanese restaurants with good recommendations in the area?

We use to eat here all the time when we lived on this side of town. We happened to be near and decided we would visit our old hangout place. It is amazing how much a year can change things. There was a musty smell when you first came in, the carpets were filthy, and the staff wasnt as friendly. We were going to wait to sit and have hibachi but decided we would just take a booth. directly across from us by the sushi bar was a dirty dish cart that was overflowing and sitting next to other customers that were eating! I have no idea how they could sit next to it or smell it for that matter. There was one waiter that went to put his tables dishes in there but realized it was full and placed it on the sushi bar counter next to the costumers that were eating (ew!) Then he walked back into the kitchen. I found that gross and it was gross to look at! Unfortunately we use to love this place but after this experience we will not be returning!

STAY AWAY! I placed an online order before actually laying eyes on this place. My 1st mistake. Walk up to the door and there were fingerprints all over the glass. The floor in the place was sticky and gross. The carpet has never been cleaned or vacuumed, really. Also there is a rattletrap refrigerator in the front by the register and I dont really understand why because all my sushi rolls were warm like they had just steamed the sticky rice. She had the bag tied up and I untied the bag in front of the cash register because I had just purchased 64 dollars in sushi rolls. Instead of giving her my card to pay for it I should of just turned around and left when I saw the filth of this place. Because if they have filth where you can see it just think about the places you cant see.

This was a very good place to eat. We ate the Hibachi grill and everything was exceptional. All our food was cooked perfectly, the staff and chef was very nice and attentive to refilling drinks and asking if the food was good (which it really was. You have to have the hibachi chicken lunch special). It was also a lot of food for the price. I took a take out box home with plenty of food for tomorrows lunch. The only thing I had against it was the place looked a little sub-par in terms of cleanliness. It wasnt anything terrible, but a thorough bathroom cleaning and general vaccuming would help a lot. Otherwise, big thumbs up and I do recommend this place for a hefty lunch or dinner with friends.

Okay so wife and I went to Wasabi in Murfreesboro for lunch, after reading the reviews.. I was hesitant. But after eating their food and talking to some of their regulars.. Im not going to Samurais again. Their food was delicious and I didnt even spend $25. We got 2 rolls of sushi, 2 hibachi entrées, 2 salads, and 2 soups. I got the hibachi shrimp and Kaitlyn got the hibachi chicken. The waitress, Sharon, was excellent, very fast but not pushy. Wasabi has been around for a while so the decor is a bit outdated, but otherwise, I cant find anything wrong with the place. Loved it. This is now my second visit.

We loved this restaurant. Very authentic Japanese flavors. We were a party of five and spent $120 with four appetizers and five entrees and drinks. It was DELICIOUS. The sushi was fresh and tasty. Ive lived in Japan and I was very impressed with the flavors and the portions. Dont go there and expect AMERICAN flavors. This is authentic Japanese. The server was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely eat there again and recommend it to friends. Very reasonably priced and worth the money. Its a great place to order a variety of food and share among a group.

Personally being that I started out in food service as a teen, Ive since become really particular about restaurants and most importantly the cleanliness . The food was pretty good but the place wasnt exactly the cleanest. As I was waiting to be seated , i started to ask the host if they had a broom or a vacuum cleaner! The floor around the grill was dirty also and there was a dish rag wrapped under the hibachi grill. I mean if your service area isnt to Clean, than Id seriously question the cleanliness of the kitchen and other food preparation areas.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and at lunch time, very reasonably priced. However, we have watched the cleanliness decrease each time we go. The restrooms are so dirty, the booth seats are dirty, a cart full of dirty dishes and garbage is left sitting in the dining room....not a pleasant dining experience! We can only imagine what the kitchen looks like if they would allow the public areas to get in this condition. Although we love the food so much, we have decided we cannot go there again!!

So humiliating, I went in and saw 3 patrons ahead of me pick up their order and walk right out. When not was my turn, I paid the 68.00 for my order, it was large, and attempted to walk out. However, I was stopped, asked if I paid and then the waitress or hostess, proceeded to look at my receipt and count the items in my bag. Im not saying that this occurred because I was black, but the only difference in me and the prior patrons is our skin. I have never been made to feel so low in my life!!! I will NEVER go there again!

My husband has been to a few other grills and enjoyed his experience so he decided to try this one as a family experience with our 5 kids. Our chef was very entertaining and the kids had fun. The service, however, was really lacking and we rarely saw our waitress. We werent sure how much or what to order for our kids and she was no help there either. The food was delicious and the wasabi mt (sushi) was wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back. It is a bit pricey..... but worth it.
