Bait and switch and rude service. Walked in with my wife and waited our turn to order at the counter. When we walked up for our turn the girl behind the counter turned around, with out saying a word, and proceeded to prepare food. We stood there, and stood... we were about to leave and another woman finally ask to take our order. My wife orderd Chicken w. Cashew Nuts and I simply pointed to the picture, on the lunch side of the menu, of the General Tsos Chicken on a bed of broccoli. She then stated the name of the lunch and I told her just like that with broccoli. She said yes, yes.. with drink $14.50. Whoa, expensive lunch.... She then brings out our food and my plate had no broccoli... I. Said excuse me and before I could say anything, she took my food and walked away without saying a word! I waited and my food came back with two TINY broccoli pieces and she stated "this is lunch portion" and quickly walked away. I went up to the counter and stated this is not what I ordered and she kept repeating "this is lunch, this is lunch portion." I stated I showed you the picture on the menu, she stated the name and now I do not get what I ordered. The funny thing is the entire side of the menu with the picture is for LUNCH only. She would not fix the order and we sat down and ate. I left very hungry because of the small portion... We stopped next door at McDonalds to get some fries because of the small portion and bait and switch.

Fast carry-out, freshly cooked Chinese. Always 10-15 minutes before food is ready if you call in. Great packaging for dinner specials for re-heat purposes the next day. I used to hit up Yen Ching all the time and a couple of yrs ago this place really stepped up in terms of the food and service. Im not sure what was with the guy wanting more from the lunch special.. 4.75 for Cashew Chicken another 4.75 for your General Tsos... and two drinks at prob 2$ a pc (I personally stick to water). Expensive? Not at all.. marked up soda was nearly 1/3 your bill. Nonetheless, Im not sure how you could be shorted in those containers..an equal helping of chicken and rice w an egg roll on the side. Should have got the dinner special or ordered a quart of something if you were that hungry...only a couple dollars more. Bait and switch..sheesh.. you need to bridge the gap a bit more with ESL folks... sounds like youve never traveled abroad.

It was open on Christmas and cleaner than most such carryouts but flavors were as bad as the daughters customer service skills. Ive never had anyone actively eating while taking my order before. Mom was eating too right in front of the cook line. When it was time to sign my charge slip I waited for a pen but the daughter instead pointed down the counter to where one was and had me go get it. Weird. When the food came, things failed to improve. Garlic chicken was supposed to be spicy... Was a weird fake red color (bottled sweet and sour sauce?), not spicy and way too sweet. Ive never seen shrimp chow fun made with tiny round spaghetti thickness rice noodles either...or with just 5 shrimp, bland as can be, and without a single vegetable. Also with amount of MSG my wife tasted in these dishes wed probably have been healthier next door at McDs after all. Pity that Thai Papaya wasnt open.

OVERCHARGED!!! IDK if they have new ownership or just a change in staff, but the last two times I have been there a new younger girl rang up my order. The first time I was overcharged by $1.83 which I caught and had her redo before I left; last night it was only $0.71. I looked everything over while I was there and did the math in my head and came pretty close so I didnt say anything; but I brought home a menu and checked it after I got here and sure enough it was incorrect again. The middle-aged lady who has taken my order for the past several years never made a mistake as far as I can tell, but she has not been there so I wonder if they sold the restaurant. I love this place! Been visiting here once a month or so for MANY years. Definitely NOT fancy decor, but clean, and food is always good. Place is small and cramped -- your best bet is take out. For fastest service, take a menu from the counter and get your a-- out of the way for the customers behind you. Sit at a table and figure what you want. when you go back to the counter to place your order, service is quick. Ive tried just about everything on the menu, and ALL of it is good, but I like Shrimp and Lobster sauce and Beef Chow Mein, Crab Rangoon and egg rolls good, too. NO fountain drinks and no free refills. Tell the order taker that you will get a couple of cans of pop or bottled water from the cooler.

The food over all was very delicious! Myself and friends ate inside and both agreed it was fantastic. That being said, the inside left a lot to be desired. It did not at all seem clean. Germaphobes will struggle inside. Die hard Chinese food lovers will love it!

Really good chinese food. We were overcharged once. We ordered taos chicken to go, and had asked for the sauce on the side separate and they charged us a $1 for that! But overall love the food and the prices are fairly cheap! Come here about every two weeks
