For over 25 years, Ive gone here with my children and now their children. Was it the best Chinese food in Murfreesboro? In my opinion not necessarily, but it was consistently above average and held nostalgic appeal for my family. To post this review is particularly sad since my oldest grandchild selected this restaurant everytime she visited me...a 12 year old tradition. Relying heavily on reviews myself, I felt the need to validate the other reviews cropping up about this restaurant. All the way from the quality of the ingredients to the way they were prepared, everything is different and not for the good. Even the tea was tasteless due to having a small single serving tea bag in the pot meant to be shared by others. The çlincher is just as the quality has taken a nosedive, the prices have increased. I asked the server if it was possible to contact the manager. I was given a number to call and that was a waste of my time. This lady would not let me know if she was the owner or the manager, only that there was a change of ownership this year. Although that bit of information did not surprise me, it was a big surprise that she wasnt concerned and did not care about our bad experience.

I made an online order and it took over 2hr 30mins to get my order. On top of that, the food was tasteless and barley lukewarm. I called numerous times to find out what was going on with my order and NO ONE picked up the phone. I even called BeyondMenu to see what was going on with the order and they couldnt even get in touch with them. The next day, I called and told the lady what happened and asked her for a refund. Later that day, I went in and told her I called about my online order and about getting my refund. I told her directly, I wanted a refund NOT a remake of my order. Next day, I noticed they still charged my card and I called back again asking why was I charged. She told me I agreed to a makeup order. I told her I requested a refund and she hung up in my face. I will never do business with this place again. Stay far, far away from here as possible.

greasy, yellow rice (not fried), delivery comes slapped in a Styrofoam container, which is really bad for you. Knife skills are terrible (bulky veggies, very un-asian) and flavors were bland. I ordered a general tsos for my wife and a beef curry, both extra spicy. Neither had any spice at all. The tsos was made with thigh meat, which is more of a preference thing, but with every other place in the murfreesboro serving it with breast meat, it wasnt what was expected. I suspect they just wanted the cheaper cut, even though its priced more than their competition. The eggrolls are also made with spring roll wrapping, and not what you expect from a Chinese place. We will not be going back. Im shocked by all of these reviews. This was our second time, thinking that maybe the first was a fluke.

After reading all the great reviews for Bobos, we decided to give them a try...we will not be going back. The vegetable lo mein was pretty good, but was very greasy. The General Tsao chicken was very disappointing. The first bite was sweet, very sweet. This chicken was also spicy, but the sweet was overpowering. Additionally, it was the chewy kind of chicken...I prefer firmer pieces that dont feel like bubble gum in your mouth. The fried rice was as it should have been, bland and now in the trash. The egg rolls also ended up there. Oddly enough, the worst thing about the reviews I read was the service. This was the best part of our experience. We will not be returning.

Ive lived in Murfreesboro for close to 5 years. The folks Ive interacted with at Bo Bo have consistently been lovely people, and I was thrilled to learn that they are offering online ordering and delivery (a $1 fee!), but at long last, I think Im done eating here. Their food quality is just very middle of the road. Not as bad as some of their neighbors, but still not very tasty. More importantly, my to-go orders were very often wrong. I dont know about the changing management that others are talking about, but it doesnt seem to have effected my long-term experience.

I ordered from here yesterday and the food actually tasted great; however, the next morning I woke up bloated and in extreme pain. I know this pain was from the food here because my boyfriend also experienced this pain as he also ate food from here at the same time I did. Ive had appendacitus in the past ( had to remove my appendix) and can relate the pain I experienced from that to the pain Ive experienced this morning. I advise you to not eat here unless you want to experience near death pains.

Overpriced. The meat was either really fatty or hard and chewy. I ordered delivery and got a container full of vegetables and barely any meat. The rice is plain. Very disappointed. I wasted a ton of money thinking the reviews were right, but I hated it. Maybe if you are looking for something unlike the Chinese food you usually order, then you will like it. While I could tell they used better ingredients then other restaurants, I did not expect what I got and I did not like what I got at all.

I ordered food from their website on Sunday at 7:30 pm. Their listed hours said they were open until 10 pm. 2 hours after ordering, I tried calling the store multiple times and no one answered. My food was never delivered and no one ever answered the phone or called me back. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites and I was excited to order, but they will never have my business again. If your listed hours are incorrect, change them to reflect your actual hours. Horrible experience.

I have lived in the Boro for almost 30 years now and this used to be a great place to eat, but I have only gone there 3 times in the past couple of years and the food and service has totally changed! Where is my old Bo Bos? I heard they were under new ownership and I can most certainly tell. The food is over priced for the quantity you get now and the quality of the taste has diminished drastically.....Please avoid for your sake!

BoBos used to be really good. I think they have changed hands though. Their food quality has hit the bottom of the barrel. Its very sad because they used to be great. They had fast service and delivered. We have been getting food delivered from them for 23 years, and its always been good. Maybe the Old owners will take back over. But for now, well find a new place. You had a good run.... But now its over:(

I agree, this used to be our favorite place to go for Chinese. The last 2 times we have eaten there, it has been terrible. The hot and sour soup was bland and had a texture similar to jello. The rice was bland. Hardle any meat in the dish. Little to no filling in the crab rangoons. I could go on and on. I am so sad, this used to be such a great place. Hopefully new owners will purchase and turn it around.
