Passing through town and needing my car worked on, I stopped here first thing in the morning for a couple hours while waiting for my car repairs. Grinderhouse came highly recommended by locals. The atmosphere was very inviting and lots of space to lounge or study. I curled up on the giant couch and read for a bit. A very kind woman, who i later learned was the owner, offered me a cozy blanket. I listened to the staffs interactions with customers and they were all very friendly. Ordered two different frappes before i left and both were fresh and tastey. Would definitely recommend.

I was out with my mom and sisters and we decided to drop in and get some coffee. I had some taco bell and because I hadnt eaten I brought it in with me. We ordered 2 coffees which came out to like 10 dollars, so while we waited for our coffee I ate a taco. Minding my own business, the owner comes up to me and goes off on us for having the nerve to come in to his restaurant with outside food. He came back 3 times to go off on us and finally I left. I will not be back and I advise you to do the same.

Man what a gem. For being middle of rural TN, and only a few minutes of I-40 my wife and I were stoked to stumble across this place. Super cool interior, wonderful staff, solid food (beats the h*ll out of typical interstate fare), ridiculously comfy couches, flat screen TV and fireplace. I didnt learn much about the coffee, but again I cant emphasize how good this place is given its location. 5-stars for kicking @ss in the middle of nowhere!

Post note: Initially I wrote a negative review for this place due to service issues but I have been back many times since and havent had a problem. Ive updated my review accordingly

Excellent coffee. A very cool atmosphere with ample space for board games or socializing. Definitely has a hipster vibe. Manager is an extreme stickler on outside food being brought in, including my friends birthday cake, which seems frustrating when everyone is still buying coffee.

Great atmosphere to hang out, good coffee, amazing service, and cool events (like open mic night and First Fridays). Also there are couches everywhere to sit on! Highly recommend to just hang out or study at.

Watched the owner throw out a teenager for eating taco bell while the mother waited on an order, coming out three times to harass him and the mother. Wow, awful management. I would not recommend to anyone.

This addition of a local coffee house is something I wanted after moving here. Its cozy, comfortable and cultured. Their black coffee is a bit weak but their baked gods and sandwiches are very good.

My wife and I had a gooey cinnamon roll and blueberry muffin. House coffee did not disappoint! Ambience was peaceful yet still lively. Great I-40 stop for breakfast/coffee!!
