First wouldnt you think a place called anchor down bar and grill would have more seafood choices than any other average restaurant? Well they dont! Shrimp is the only crustation offered. Raw oysters only, no steamed or fried. No crab anywhere to be seen. Lunch special.....not a great deal. Two tiny tacos for $8. I ordered them with no onions. Guess what the had.....onions. Sent them back another long wait. They had great flavor but no side dish just two small size tacos. Been there done that, no need to come back.

Had a great environment. Food was okay. Was not what I was expecting for the price. Two small pieces of fish and hush puppies. The place was almost empty. And the server waited until we were ready to leave to leave and refill my drink. Not sure if it was just a bad day or what. But it was my first experience. I do plan on going back again and giving a second chance. Its worth another chance. The place is normally packed. I went on a Sunday after church.

Restaurant was nearly empty, had to wait 20 mins to get seated just to wait an hour to get our food, the server would only speak to my wife and wouldnt acknowledge that I was there and when both our chicken alfredo came out hers was full of chicken and mine only had two small pieces in it, this was my first and last time Ill ever eat here. But dont take my word for it, try it yourself, I hope your stay will be better than mine

The restaurant was decorated very well and fit the vibe of a coastal setting. Our waitress was very nice and kept a check on us frequently. The food was amazing. I ordered the "Sunburnt Barbecue Chicken" and it was excellent. The sides were awesome as well. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant soon.

I like the atmosphere. They have a variety of food. My daughter had a pasta dish that she liked, my husband had a quesadilla he really liked and I had a cheeseburger and onion rings. My cheeseburger was fresh and really tasty. The onion rings on the other hand were not crisp they were golden brown but were limp.

Waited 30 minutes for our appetizer. Waited 45 minutes for our dinner. The Mahi Mahi was dry. The jumbo shrimp was fried so long it was hard as a rock. Our serverbwould disappear for long periods of time. 3/4 of the restaurant was empty. I prefer to make excuses but I cant this time. It was just bad.

Steak and chicken alfredo were both cold and chewy. Baked potato was not thoroughly cooked . NOTHING we received was worth eating, much less paying the high prices. It took so long, we nearly walked out. We emailed Anchor Down to kindly tell them we had a poor experience. They never responded.

Ignore everyone complaining about the prices. Well worth the money for what I have gotten. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Food was great. Ive been a few times and never been disappointed. Everyone has their days that influence their reviews. Had no issues worth mentioning at this point.

Toot toot! Get on-board this festive local joint with great atmosphere and a great menu (with prices that are pretty reasonable). If the dining room is packed (which is typical) check out the bar with plenty of tables and where they also serve the full menu.

The atmosphere was great the service was great and the food was awesome. Im from Fla and have had a lot of oysters. But the oyster rockafellas were the best I every had they were huge and very good. Had a great evening. Our waitress was awesome.

Badly shucked oysters I had broken shell on every oyster. Fish and shrimp over cooked . Mashed potatoes were ok. Cole slaw nothing special. Decoration top notch but a Restaurant needs good food to.go.along with decoration and this food sucks

Great experience, affordable, friendly, shrimp Alfredo was perfect the tomatoes diced into it were so tasty, longboard beer from Hawaii (Hawaii 5 0 beer) was on the menu. Steak was cooked to perfection, tender and tasty. Decor was very unique.

Food was decent nothing to write home about and the service was ok. The biggest issue was the amount of time it took to get the food. There was hardly anyone there and it took 45 mins to get a chicken wrap and a burger. Wont go back.

Typical "bar & grill" to me. Im a stranger in this town, I had a chicken quesadilla and a coke to-go, the food was great. I was concerned about the price at first but was at ease 1 bite in. Keep it up.
