The $8.00 catfish sandwich was a soggy dark fishy piece of fish on a cold hamburger bun. It is not often I complain about food in a restaurant, some is better than others but this I could not even eat. The waitress did not come back to see how our food was until we were almost ready to go, and she said all catfish is fishy (I know better) and they cant cut out all the dark greasy meat on the filet because they buy them frozen. Also, she said if you want your fried fish crisp, then you have to order it extra crispy there. As far as the place, it was attractive, and I loved the river view, but they need to improve their food and menu for it to be a restaurant I frequent. Aside from the quality of the filet, I personally think for an 8.00 sandwich, it should be served on bread that is NOT a cheap cold hamburger bun. A toasted piece of french bread? or something else a little more appetizing. I had planned to just eat the filet when I ordered it, but it was not good enough to just eat it as a piece of fish. But the bun did not help much either.

The only thing good about this place is the view. The web site says they make everything from scratch, only if that means scratching open the frozen sysco box or bag. Ive had better burgers from the cooler at the local convenience market. The so called salad bar looks like it is only there so they dont have to hire a nother high school kid to make a real salad. I have been there 4 or 5 times since they re-opened hoping it would get better, it has gotten worse. I have been in the restaurant business 22 years so I rarely complain about a restaurant. Then what really topped it off was when the rude woman came out of kitchen and yelled at the kids for throwing rocks in water.

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon in January, and Riverview was a good place to have lunch and watch the Cumberland River flow by. Not on the open deck this time, but at a nice table by the windows. Shrimp tacos were tasty, and the fried catfish is always good. The "bobbers" appetizer is a favorite, but not a choice for my diet. Truthfully, very little is diet-friendly, but the turnip greens and steamed broccoli are dependable choices. Most guests were locals, but there were a surprising number of people who seemed to have found this comfort spot from Nashville and beyond.

My wife & I just ate lunch here. This was our 1st visit. We sat out on the large covered deck overlooking the Cumberland River. Very nice setting. Our fried okra & hushpuppies were hot, fresh, & delicious. We shared the popcorn shrimp tacos. We both got the salad bar. It was very good & fresh also. The people were very friendly & we had excellent service by Mikayla. My only negative would be that the restaurant floor was sticky. Other than that, everything was great. We will def visit again.

AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. Ate here with friends once and LOVED IT. The waitress was so nice. The service was great and I HIGHLY recommend the unlimited salad bar. I shamelessly at 5 salads in one sitting here. We had a seat by the window that had a beautiful view of the river. It was an amazing brunch with the girls and I WILL definitely come back soon. Lovely place.

Ate with a large group (40ppl) on the patio, food and service were excellent! The Bam Bam shrimp was delicious-exactly like Bonefish Grilles. Everyone in the group complimented the food and service which can be a challenge for a group that size. Highly recommended!

The food here has been good for years. The new post-flood building is awesome and everyone - inside or out on the decks - has a great view of the activity and scenery on the Cumberland. The catfish tacos are one of my favorites.

Absolutely wonderful food with a beautiful view! I was very pleasantly surprised with my lunch choice for today. Best hush puppies I have eaten in my life--bar none! Catfish was perfection. Pricing was very reasonable. Go!

Nice little spot on the Cumberland River just outside of Ashland City. Food was flavorful and priced great. We had the fried pickles and the fish and shrimp tacos. Great ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating.

A beautiful view of the river from your table, great food, friendly staff. The catfish is the best for miles around. I cant wait to try the BlackBerry Wine cake which is a River View specialty.

Friends from college and I were catching-up in Nashville over a long weekend, and one of us made a reservation at Miel after seeing it recommended by the food critic of the local paper.

Been eating there for many years, great service, catfish, chicken, salads & vegtables. The mac & cheese needs much help. Nothing better than dinning with a great water view. 10ECBob

The nicest place in Ashland City..but for the price you would expect a little better tasting food..real bland. Little changes to menu would help. Bring back oysters too..please

Went there for lunch and it took the whole your to get our food. They were out of the pepperoni chips that I wanted, and the food selection is severely lacking
