We used to come here when it first opened and they had Formica tables and folding chairs. It was great! Food was delicious and staff was very enthusiastic, even if the furniture wasnt much to look at. I started coming in later at lunchtime when they installed booths and tables with upholstery, and the food was more than you could eat and absolutely delicious! They installed a bar a few years back, and it all went downhill from there. A few months ago, we went in to order lunch and ask about seating for a family reunion. They could have cared less. The waiter shrugged, looked at us and said, Well, just come on in. This was after he spoke to the manager, who did not even look up from his paper. Then we ordered lunch. It was gawdawful. I had a mouthful of what can only be described as 5-day old grease, and everything tasted vaguely of some kind of antiseptic. Never again. El Rey used to be a great restaurant, but apparently they have gotten too big to care. We took our family reunion some place else, and I am still trying to forget the memory of that meal I had.

One of the worst experiences I have had. The waiter was trying really hard but someone in the back wasnt doing their job. One of my guest order a GRILLED chicken burrito but they brought him the shredded. We sent it back and they brought that some burrito out to give to SOMEONE ELSE at a different table. When the other patron refused it I thought it was the burrito my guest was waiting for and asked them to bring it to him. Turns out it was the original burrito he sent back. They gave me the wrong plate. Obviously somone elses order but all was such a mess I just ate it. While waiting for the grilled chicken burrito they brought my guest MY plate that I never got. Then when paying the guy couldnt figure out how to enter to pay 2 tickets at the same time and got mad at us because he couldnt do it. He was throwing the pen at us and grabbing stuff, then WALKED off while others in my group were trying to pay. WILL NOT being going back to this place. OH and 2 of the people in my group got food poisoning. Lovely, eat at your own risk.

We have always had a good experience and good food but last night was different...the service took forever. Must of been short on help. Love the shrimp cocktail. Great margaretas. I had the huevos rancheros...great flavor (wish they served it with real ranchero sauce, they use enchilada sauce), but as I scraping my leftovers into the to-go box there was a very long hair beneath the food...yuck! Glad I hadnt eaten that part yet. I told the server but she didnt seem to get what I was showing her or how horrible it was to find a hair. She just said hokay and went on. They were so out of sorts there we just paid our bill, left vowing not to return. We like the food but the vision of the hair on my plate will remain with me for awhile. :(

Worst restaurant in Ashland City by far. We had to seat ourselves, 2 adults and 2 kids. Took 30mins to get a drink order. When it came it was wrong. Took another 20mins to get a food order and when it came it was also wrong. Margaritas were bitter and rimmed with sugar. Food was subpar at best. I understand Cinco de mayo is a busy time but there needs to be better management and preparation for a holiday. Needless to say my family will not be going back.

When people ask me what my favorite restaurant in Nashville is, I usually answer Miel. The food is always excellent and they make a great effort brining in wonderful ingredients. They are off the beaten bath – away from the Gulch scene – and so the ambience is quieter and you can actually hear your company. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Im from el paso texas. So yeah i know. Worst food ever from a Mexican restaurant. Pico taste nasty there salsa sucks. Taste like its a week old. Im from texas I know good Mexican food. And this is not even close. Some nasty ass food. Here will never come back to this place ever. I can do better at home. 10.00 for fake nasty food no thanks

We love this place. We eat here at least twice a week and have never had anything but a wonderful experience. By far the best restaurant in Ashland City not only for the food but also for the atmosphere and staff. For the price it does not get better than this for mexican food.

A great restaurant to visit for a special occasion. From cocktails to appetizer to entrees with wine to dessert, every sip and bite was perfect. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and recommended the perfect bottle of wine to accompany two different entrees.

Cant say for sure but was there and seen couple leave..the waiter went to table and got half empty pitcher of margarita go behind bar and pour it in funnel and into bottle. Hate to think he was reusing but cant imagine any other reason for doing this.

Very good food, friendly service, highly recommend the waiter Francisco is the best! Great prices and very nice to go with the family environment. The manager Antonio is also very friendly :)

The food made us all sick. I think they used old grease because only those in our group of 7 that had fried foods got sick. I threw up so much I slept on my bathroom floor. It was horrible.
